Hi,We are using STM32H750 for the new product development. The IDE is IAR Embedded Workbench and the RTOS is uC/OS-II.Currently, we are debugging a defect where the target crashes at boot.When we run the application in the debugger, and when we want to break the target, it shows the "Communication error message: Target is running, Failed to stop the target. Maybe the target needs to be reset".Any idea what is going on ? Or how to proceed with the debugging ?rgds,kc Wong 

my PC can't communicate with the stm32F7508-dk board. I installed st-link USB driver successfully (see image) but it doesn't appear in the windows device manager (se image) and it doesn't run. In the ST-Link utility program I have 'no ST-LINK detected. Why ?Jean

A strange debugger (?) issue bugs me on Atollic TrueStudio.There's a "main firmware", started by bootloader at default address 08000000.To debug it I just created a default run config in Atollic, which does "monitor reset" before and after load. This worked for very long time - the resets just went thru the bootloader and it instantly jumped to the app, where the debugger catches up.After some change in the booloader - maybe, use of the backup RAM area - when the debugger starts, there's immediately a HardFault in the bootloader.The fault analyzer shows instruction fetch error, with LR=FFFFFFFF.Then I click on restart button on debugger toolbar, and this time everything runs smoothly.I don't understand what causes the instruction fetch fault.Has anyone seen this behavior?Thanks,-- pa

I generated the code using STM32CubeMX for STM32f423rh to communicate with AT24C02 EEPROM via i2c 1I am can able to do page write/read by using HAL_I2C_Mem_Write_IT function. But i am not getting how to do random read.Please provide any example codeThank you

Hi everyone,I'm having compatibility problems with the CAN_Read block from STM32 library and the CAN Unpack from Embedded Coder Simulink library. I need to use CAN_MESSAGE MATLAB type for working with .dbc format.The IDE field on the rxHeader is set at 4 by the CAN_Read block, while the CAN Extended flag from the CAN Unpack expects 1U when it evaluates the condition for unpacking the received message. This code is generated by these blocks:  I came up with a solution by selecting raw data output from CAN_Read, packing the message and unpacking again with the desired .dbc as in the following example.This solves the problem because the unpack resolves conditions according to the packed message with the raw data.However I assume that the CAN_Read plus direct CAN Unpack generated code isn't meant to be like that. Is there any solution which not imply to use redundant block as the CAN Pack?Best regards,Ruben

I have started a new C++ project and selected my chip (STM32H753II). I changed only the runtime library and left all other settings as default. (See attached.)I then set the release configuration to "active" (see attached) as I do not have the RESET or SWO pins connected. The program I wrote is fairly simple and compiled with no errors; however, when I try to run it I get this error: "Infinite loop detected for 'New_configuration(1)' configuration" (see attached).I've tried to google the error but could not find anything about it. Can someone explain what it means? The config files are all generated and I didn't change anything in them so I would think it should work. Not sure what this means and I can't seem to find anything online about it. If it's talking about my code, of course there's an infinite loop. The whole program is one big loop. Since when is that a problem?*Edit*I removed the loop from my program and rebuilt the project with the same error when attempting to run. Can someone even explain what this means? There is literally no mention of this error on Google that I can find.

I've been using Coocox CoIDE, but since CoIDE is no longer supported, I'm switching to TrueStudio.In CoIDE, the location of the source files was independent of the project folder, and I could place them in any folder I wanted. This is to make the source files common in multiple projects. I also really liked this method.But in TrueStudio, I just can't find any other way to put them under the project folder.Does anyone know how to freely place the source files in the project folder?

This is my first time to use dual core STM32. I try to compile STM32H745I-DISCO demo and project. Keil can pass the compilation of M7 core, but it halt when compiling M4 project in some stm32h7xx_hal_xx.c file. And I found the compiling speed is very slow comparing with it compile M3 or M4 standalone project. Can anyone have some experience on this issue? Keil is 5.31 version and STM32H745I-DISCO was checked out on github. Thanks.

Some times when we follow the usual process to build a SIMULINK model of STM32 MCU, hoping to use the STM32-MAT tool chain to automatically generate code that STM32 MCU can run. The HEX or BIN file obtained as a result is downloaded to the MCU, but the MCU does not operate in accordance with the desired action. After many experiments, it is found that when creating a CubeMX project, select "Advanced" in the "Application Structure" option of the Project Manager window (the default option when creating a new project), then the BIN (HEX) file we finally get is invalid , And during the creation process, the software did not prompt that an error occurred. When "Basic" is selected in the "Application Structure" option of the Project Manager window, the final BIN (HEX) file we get is valid, and it runs normally in the MCU. Just started to migrate to the ARM compiler 6 and I noticed __weak is incompatible language extension in this version and it needs to be written __attribute__((weak)).In STM32F4 HAL Drivers and almost all of the STM32 MCUs, there are lots of functions that have __weak in their declaration while it is not supported in ARM compiler V6.As for ARM Compiler and the DFPs, I have installed the latest versions.Are we having a problematic kind of situation here?

I have been trying hard to produce a output in TeraTerm & RealTerm using uart2 via GPIO A Pins PA2 & PA3 which are directly connected to St-Linkv2 on my STM2F407VG Disc-1 Board. It just fails to produce anything. I am using STM32Cube IDE and STM32 CubeMX. Pls Can Anyone help me out of this. I recently did the firmware upgrade to ST-LinkV2.1 and yes I got all the drivers installed already. I also did try to write my own main.c , msp.c and it.c ; still no output on TeraTerm. I have the arduino 1.8.12 IDE, and the latest 1.9.0 stm cores installed, my question is why dont the st link show up in the upload methods ? it only shows STM32cube programer type also HID Bootloader 2.2, the st link shows up in the device manager as st link ?any ideas , ??

I implemented the eeprom function by referring to the link above. However, there is a phenomenon that the device restarts while switching pages(Looking at the internal code, there is a problem when deleting the page.).Here's the part I modified.1. I tried to code stm32g071c8 through MATLAB using MAT/Target but came to know that it doesnt support cortex M0+​ controller. So is there any alternative?​

I am using i2c ,arduino as master and stm32l073RZ as slave.When I transmit from arduino(master) to slave(st) via i2c.I am getting correct values.But when I slave transmit from st the first byte received in arduino-master is ffffffff,the other bytes are correct.What is this issue??I am generated the code by cubeide.

I have installed a firmware of ARM in PE programmer and I have connected NJRST, JTDI, JTMS, JTCK, JTDO, NRST of programmer to the board then I Chose PE as debugging driver in IAR IDE.but can not communicate with MCU.I have checked the wires connectivity but problem is not solved.
