The main issue is that when i enter 1 in the ID assignment, as i'm using the L9963, the ACK LED wont turn green but red instead. The D13 LED on the board behaves consistently with what is written in the application note i.e. is tuned on when the Configure IDs Button is pressed. Do you know how to solve this in order to test the L9963 functionality? Thanks in advance. 

Context: I have placed this part on a new design. I have a dev kit as well. A failure to start switching problem is duplicated on the dev kit that is setup in the default state (as sent by ST) for use in buck configuration, targeting a 4.2V float LiPo battery.Failure scenario: I have for the test a bench supply set at 8V with a 1K resistor in series to simulate a higher impedance src. What I observe in a stone cold bootup situation that the PVin + node is basically shorted or held in fairly low impedance for some time - even minutes! Then suddenly with no external changes, it releases the low impedance and begins switching making the 4.2V. Once this begins, I can cycle src power and it starts up readily. If I let it sit OFF for some considerable time (like overnight) THEN I can again reproduce this failure to start scenario. It seems to self-heal, but takes time. In one instance, I connected a battery simulator (set at 3.6V) to the Vbatt node (CN2pin1) and it started switching at once

Hello,I am currently working on an electric go-kart project . For the BMS I use L9963-NDS paired with an external MCU ( STM32F411VE) via SPI ( non-isolated). For the project I use a battery with 4 cells with approximately 16 V and a resistor of 1000 Ohms for the cell current reading. I have to point that the reading is done from one of the cells .The problem I ran into is with the Cell Current Measurement / Coulomb Counter Routine. I gave a command using single write access to enable CoulombCounter_en bit from CSA_GPIO_MSK register and I read the responses from the 0x7B and 0x78 command feedback . However , there is no reading of the cell current from 0x7B and from 0x78 static wrong value ,stays the same .The CoCouOvf bit toggles continuously ,as well as sense_plus_open and sense_minus_open bits . From the datasheet I understand that in case of register overflow it will saturate CoulombCntTime to 0XFFFF. Also , I did not set up any threshold currently . It can be a software related iss

At 350V dc voltage, Viper16  output is toggle for 2 s to 0V.  What could be problem? ..... Output req 24V @ 250mA and Input 200V to 350V DC. 

Hi,I installed 25 of the ST1S41 on a PCB and tested them with different Bench Power Supply and a electronic load or motors on the output. Everything worked very well till I swapped the Bench supply for a lithium Battery. Once I connected the Battery the switching regulator chips literally exploded. Has someone a explanation for that behavior and/or a solution for the problem?Another Test I want to do but have not so far is to connect a little circuit between battery and converter that ramps the voltage up slowly (maybe 10ms).Additional Info:For the PCB Layout I followed the recommendations in the datasheet closely (see attached circuits and layout). There is a 100u capacity at input side of each converter and a 47u cap on output. The enable pin of the chip was pulled low when the battery had been connected. I was able to reproduce the behavior with one isolated chip (with only the necessary components connected)Help and elucidation is much appreciated,Best regards,Tobias Friebel

I'm using the AN4144 Application Note to program the parameters for the L6470 Motor Controller. It shows that the Kval correlates with the desired voltage, or the target current multiplied by the motors' resistance.but the only other reference to Iph is as seen below.If we negate the BEMF and the impedance from inductance, these two formulas look the same, and are just Ohms law. But obviously these two definitions are circular, and are dependent on the frequency, or speed of the motor. This, however, all seems trivial because the Voltage and Current will vary according to speed, but the one Constant is the Resistance. So, once I've measured my motors resistance (3 Ohms), how can I calculate the ideal value for the Kval parameter?Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello Community​I try to test the EVELKIT-ROBOT-1 using MODBUS RTU.​I did it it's factory setting.After I had connect all the cables, I powered up the EVALKIT.​Motor turned to its init position and stoped at some point. ​And Motor hold that position even if I turned the sharft of the motor. ​So I want to change the desired posiiton.​I send packets(? : I don't know whether MODBUS RTU also called it packet ) to the EVALKIT as you can see the figure that I uploaded. The order that I send was (1) -> (2) -> (3) -> (4) -> (5) -> (2) -> (1) -> (6) -> (7). Following response is the bottom side of figure.here is my questions.I send packet(1) to EVALKIT after the motor aligned but the response implys it is not. why? is packet(7) wrong? ( Set the coil bit 0 at address 0 high to start motion ) Is it because of the discrete input bit 0 is not high?please help..ThanksMinsoo ​ ​

i searched about the  spice model of  VNI8200XP (CAD resources ) to simulate with LTspice site but i couldn´t find  it , so could you provide it.thanks in advance  . 

Looking at the 2N5551HR datasheet pages 7 - 9, it is misleading where pin 1 is located. If you look at the UB package on page 7, pin 1 seems to be on the opposite side to the ident and dot. Does this also mean the LCC-3 package is also wrong. Can you confirm please?Thanks,Sunshine84

In the STC4054 datasheet, it says the CHRG pin is supposed to have a weak pull-down of max 35uA when no battery is connected yet. However, with a 4.7Kohm pullup from that pin to 3.3v, I measure a 1.2v drop, which indicates about 250uA of current. With a 390 ohm pullup, the drop is about the same, which indicates almost 10x the current. Am I misunderstanding something on the datasheet? Thanks!

Hi, we are facing a strange problem with your MCU + GD combo - STSPIN32G4. In general, about 60% of soldered ICs are not working properly, we test on the default firmware generated for EVSPIN32G4 and we get error "64 overcurrent" and / or gd_nfault and gd_ready flags are false (which is bad).We use our own PCBs, so far we have tested >50 chips, because we are in the R&D phase, we solder the chips inhouse using various methods: preheater + hot-air,hot-air,infrared oven (with the appropriate profile).We haven't yet baked the chips according to the JEDEC (J-STD-033D) procedure. We switched to SPIN32 from DRV8323 from TI, which we've never had such problems with.We suspect a problem during assembly, although the technician has experience with QFN / SMD soldering (and with DRV8323 there were no such problems). Or the problem with damp chips. Or possibly poor layout, due to generic centerpad footprint (autogenerated by Ultra Librarian) - lot of tiny vias, that come out "blinded"

I am attempting to establish a connection between the EVAL3PHISO kit and its accompanying software, the STPM005 GUI. To power up the board, I am utilizing a USB cable connected to my laptop. The illuminated green LED on the kit verifies that the board is receiving power. In order to power up the STPMS2 ICs, I am supplying power from a single-phase source. By connecting the AC phase pins (R-Phase, S-Phase, and T-Phase) and linking the board's neutral to the AC neutral, I ensure that all three phases have the same line voltages, thus powering up all the STPMS2 ICs. I have confirmed this by measuring 3.3V at the STLQ IC using a multimeter, indicating that all ICs are receiving power, Next, I connect to the target by selecting "Target STPM_3PHISO" and choosing the virtual COM port, which is identified as COM15 in my case. Following the guidelines mentioned in the reference manual, I set the baud rate to 115200, data bits to 8, parity to none, stop bit to 1, and flow control to none. These
