Hello everyone,MCU in use: STM32H745XI (dual-core, Bootloader v9.1, CubeIDE 1.16.1, HAL v1.11.3, CubeProgrammer v2.17.0)Hardware status: BOOT0 HIGH works perfectly, I can access the system bootloader over USART1 (PA9/PA10), and program via UART. Hardware is validated and all connections are good. PB15/PB14 pins are floating, not connected anywhere.My need:I want to jump from user application (C code only, no BOOT0 pin) to the internal ROM system bootloader for firmware update purposes, so that I can upload new firmware over UART (using CubeProgrammer or similar), and then return to normal application on the next reset.Here are the methods I have tried (none worked):Set MSP to 0x1FF09800, jump to 0x1FF09804 (function pointer), disable all interrupts (NVIC->ICER), set PRIMASK/FAULTMASK, disable and invalidate caches (SCB), disable SysTick, deinit all peripherals (HAL_DeInit, RCC_DeInit, etc.).Disable MPU/SAU regions (including secure/privileged regions).Put all GPIOs (including used U

I am working on a project to replace a legacy ST62 IC in a industrial charger 24V/45A charger with an STM32 microcontroller (STM32F0 series). The main issue is with the PWM signal generation using TIM1 and TIM3. Both timers have 16-bit prescalers (value 0 to 65535), and I need to generate a PWM at 1 kHz with about 1000 steps of resolution.My timer clock is 8 MHz. Based on calculations, prescaler and ARR values can generate correct frequencies, but the PWM output voltage is only around 2.7V instead of the expected 5V, and there is no effective voltage output for charging.I suspect this issue is linked to the STM32CubeMX pinout or timer configuration:Correct PA6 pin configuration for TIM3 PWM output.Proper timer frequency setup: prescaler around 725 with ARR 0 tested, but PWM not as expected.Possible problem in software initialization or timer start sequence affecting PWM output.Relay control pins and PWM outputs may not be correctly activated or sequenced.I have tested a new STM32 board

In AN2606 Rev 69, the STM32WBA6x system bootloader section describes the UART interface as USART3, but there appear to be errors:1. Inconsistency within the same entry:The TX pin description mixes USART2 and USART3 in the same sentence:USART3_TX pin Output PA12 pin: USART2 in transmission mode. Kept in reset configuration until 0x7F detected on USART_RX.While the RX pin description correctly uses USART3:USART3_RX pin Input PA11 pin: USART3 in reception mode. Used in alternate push-pull, pull-up mode.2. PA11/PA12 are assigned to USART2, not USART3:According to the STM32WBA62 datasheet, PA11 and PA12 are mapped to USART2 (USART2_RX / USART2_TX), not USART3.Question:Does the STM32WBA6x system bootloader actually use USART2 on PA11/PA12? Hi, I'm developing a project for STM32N657X0HxQ MCU and I need to run a NN model on it. I installed the 10.2.0 package for X-CUBE-AI and I've selected Core for Artificial Intelligence X-CUBE-AI in the Software Packs component selector. However, whatever Device Application I select, I always get when I'm on the Configuration Tab in Pinout & Configuration "Warning: This peripheral has no parameters to be configured" and I cannot upload my NN model, even when Artificial Intelligence X-CUCE-AI checkbox has been selected.I'm using the 6.16.1 Version of STM32CubeMX.Thank you for the cooperation

Hi! I am working with a stm32h743zit6 + ov5640 combo. I am using STM32CUBEMX + Makefile on Ubuntu.Currently I am at the state of:- Camera setup is successful- Code gets into HSYNC event callback- Code gets into VSYNC event callback- Code doesn't get into Frame event callback Currently I am unable to capture any images. I would really appreciate your help! Thank you in advance!

When creating a new CMake-based project in STM32CubeMX, the "Toolchain Folder Location" field is auto-populated with the project folder path upon entering a project name. This behaviour is misleading because the field is intended (at least by its description) to specify the location of the actual toolchain binaries (e.g., GCC ARM) and it is unlikely that a toolchain is installed in a specific project folder.I have tried to understand what this is by consulting the User Manual UM1718 Revision 49, and there were two references that matched the text "toolchain folder", both of which provided no helpful guidance on what this is actually used for.This is pretty much the only reference that describes what this option is for, which basically tells you nothing but confirms the toolchain is located in the project folder by default.Steps to Reproduce:Launch STM32CubeMX.Select a target MCU (e.g., STM32C011F6Px).Choose CMake as the project type.Attempt to change the field before setting a valid pr

In section 19.6.2 LCD frame control register (LCD_FCR) of the STM32U0 RM0503 Reference Manual, the examples provided for PS and DIV initially count up in decimal, but finish in binary. Hi, I need to update the firmware of my MCU from the UART. I mean without physically touching the BOOT pin, but only via serial commands (classic FW update of a product).I'm not an expert, but I tried searching on the internet and I saw that for these things it is necessary to write a bootloader. It doesn't seem impossible, but for a non-expert it's not exactly simple.What I wanted to ask is, I think this is a very common need among users, has STM created anything official to support this feature? Is there something already given and official that I can use without necessarily writing my own custom bootloader? Maybe even supported directly in CubeMX.I've seen that there are dozens of amateur/community bootloaders available, but not knowing how to write it, I can't even evaluate whether it's done well or whether it's suitable for my application, which is why I'm looking for an official STM solution.

HiMAC BOOK PRO is using apple silicon(arm), i downloaded STM32CubeCLT-mac, but it seems installation is not sucessful, maybe it because it's x86/amd64 version.Do ST have plan to release STM32CubeCLT apple silicon version? ThanksPeter 

Hello!I am writing a program for STM32F769I-DISCO board that uses FreeRTOS and LwIP to communicate with the server and send data to it. It generally works, but unplugging and plugging Ethernet cable (especially doing it several times within a few seconds) usually causes Ethernet DMA errors which make program stop calling HAL_ETH_IRQHandler and thus board can't even try to reconnect to server. I’m working with an STM32G0 running ThreadX (Azure RTOS).The system UART is configured in circular DMA mode with an IDLE event interrupt for data reception.SymptomsIntermittently, after hundreds of successful receptions, the system enters HardFault_Handler.The fault always occurs at the same point in the code (on a C division instruction, inside a function unrelated to DMA).The register values at the HardFault are shown in Image 1.When it runs without triggering a hard fault, the registers are:xPSR = 0x01000000 and CONTROL = 2.When the hard fault occurs, these registers are:xPSR = 0x00000000 and CONTROL = 0.The failure does not depend on the received data.The thread stack (PSP) has sufficient space.I believe the intermittent HardFault is not related to the operation itself:If I modify the code—adding new instructions or removing code—sometimes it reproduces, and other times it still reproduces but in different parts of the code.QuestionWhat can I do to determine the root cause of this

Hi,I am using the application core of the STM32WB55VGY6 (not the radio core). I created a CubeMX project and added a simple HAL_GPIO_TogglePin() call. Literally just 2 lines of code in the entire project.When I use a for loop as a delay, the code works as expected. However, when I use HAL_Delay(), it does not.For some reason the SysTick_Handler() is never called... I’ve attached the full project, including the .ioc file. The application code itself is minimal (only two lines).From the configuration:The timebase source is set to SysTickInterrupts are enabledThe SysTick_Handler() is generated, but it is never triggeredHas anyone encountered this on the STM32WB application core, or have any suggestions on what might be missing or misconfigured?Thanks. 

Board: NUCLEO-N657X0-Q, revision CI'm trying to communicate with an I2C sensor (VL53L7CX) using the I3C1 peripheral. I have written small routines to try this out based on this tutorial (chapter 9.10.). The problem is: no signal appears on the data pins (measured by an oscilloscope). Not even the slave address. They seem completely dormant.I have tried the "I3C Direct Command DMA" example project on the board. I don't have I3C devices, but measurement yielded digital signal waveforms, as expected. This confirms that the peripheral is in fact operational.What have I missed in my code or hardware setup? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!(I attached the mixed bus code and the .ioc file)

I am using stm32l552zetxq. I am testing standbymode with wakeup from event. According to reference manual RM0438, there are 5 wake up pin to wake up the mcu from standby/shutdown mode wkup1 to 5 with polarity setting option in PWR_CR3 and PWR_CR4. But i could not find whic are those 5 pins in datasheet and in reference manual. By searching i find that PA0,PC13,PE6,PA2,PC5 in a documents ""en.STM32L5-System-Power_control_PWR.pdf" in page no 40. Now my question is what is the wkup no of which pin. It should be mentioned either in data sheet or in reference manual. It be very help full to me kindly provide the document with page no or article number and te documents.

Hi,I have NUCLEO-U083RC-B01. I attached X-NUCLEO-IKS5A1 to it. All jumpers are in default positions.In STM32CubeMX I enabled I2C1 with default values. In the main program I am trying to check the device readiness for MEMS sensors on the X-NUCLEO-IKS5A1, e.g, ISM330IS. HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady returns HAL_ERROR.I tried to set the I2C1 GPIO configuration Pull-up but no success. Hi, so the recent change to make CubeMX a separate app has broken my old project. I am using a Nucleo board and HAL in the project. After a change to the .IOC file I get "stm32h7xx_nucleo_conf.h:50: warning: "USE_NUCLEO_144" redefined". Is there a resource somewhere explaining to to do all of the after the CubeMX split? 

Hi,I would appreciate any guidance or best practices for minimizing code size by eliminating unused functions when using the STM32 extension for VS Code with CubeMX generated code (bare metal) as some code I'm writing has become very large.What is the recommended way to configure the compile/build process so that unused functions are not compiled or linked into the final image flashed to the microcontroller, in order to save flash space?I am not familiar with CMake, so if this can be achieved without using CMake, that would be preferred.If custom configuration text is required (for example Makefile edits or similar), could you please outline them in detail and whether these changes are generally safe, or if they require careful consideration.Any clarification on the recommended approach would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
