STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hi,I have recently procured STM32L562E-DK Discovery kit. Having installed STM32 Cube IDE & STM32 Cube Programmer I tried to debug & run existing examples. However STLink is not getting detected on Windows 10 laptop. I have connected USB Type A to Micro B cable to CN17 connector. While the board powers up and is running default power measurement demo (out of box) I am unable to do any debugging/downloading of other example code.I have tried using different USB cables & tried switching USB port on laptop. However there is no USB activity detected in Device manager. I have confirmed STLink driver installation & working through another STM32 board (Nucleo-64) where I am able to debug/programAre there any switch/jumper settings on DK kit or do I need to connect USB Type C as well (already tried) to make the debugger work?Any suggestions/inputs appreciatedThanks

Hey y'all!Sorry if this question is a little silly, I'm pretty new to Electrical Engineering and PCB design (this is my first ever PCB), but I've been having trouble with the board I designed for the STSpin32G4. I've been meaning to use it to do FOC control on a BLDC motor. I've been able to power the board via REG3v3/VDD and VSS at 3.3v just fine (including a blink test), but when I try to power the motor at 9V (using VM and PGND), the chip pops and I get some magic smoke. I replicated the process happening on one of my remaining boards in the video at this link. I've also attached the schematic that I was using, but can't figure out what I did wrong.Of note: I used all ceramic capacitors except for C21 and C22, they should be parallel lines in the schematic but I messed up when I originally created it, polarity shouldn't matter for those. I am using the Nucleo-N657X0 for a project. I was in the middle debugging my project and unplugged my board. Now I am unable to connect to my board for debugging or programming in the IDE. I can however connect to the board in CubeProgramming. How do I get my board to connect for debugging and programming again in IDE? Hello ST Community, I have designed a custom PCB using the STM32H750XBH6 microcontroller. After soldering the chip to the PCB, I attempted to connect it via ST-LINK using the standard SWD interface, but the device is not being detected. I have verified the following points: VDD, VDDA, and VDD_LDO are supplied with 3.3V VSS and VSSA are connected to GND PDR_ON is tied to VDD (as recommended) VCAP1 and VCAP2 are connected to 2.2µF capacitors to GND BOOT0 is pulled down to GND SWDIO, SWCLK, and NRST are correctly connected to the ST-LINK Voltages and connections are checked with a multimeter — all seem fine Despite this, ST-LINK shows "Target voltage: 0.0 V" and fails to detect the core ID. Additionally, I noticed that in the official STM32H750 Nucleo board schematic, some NC (Not Connected) pins are routed either to 3.3V or GND, even though the datasheet specifies these pins as NC. This seems contradictory, and I’d like clarification on whether NC pins must be left unconn

Hi everyone,I am currently working with the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board and using STM32CubeMX version 6.14.1 to generate code. I've kept everything at default settings and only added pins to toggle LEDs for testing. However, when I try to debug the code, I run into an issue where the boot subproject gets stuck at the SCB_EnableDCache(); function for a while, before eventually jumping to Error_Handler(void).I haven’t modified anything else in the generated code, so I'm wondering if there’s a configuration setting I may have missed or something I need to tweak in order to resolve this issue.Has anyone encountered this behavior or know what steps I should take to fix it?Thanks in advance for your help!

STLINK V3 stopped working after upgrade. Red light is flashing. Device manager - Unknown USB Device. NUCLO and DISCOVERY with ST-Link2 are still working! Installing dpinst_amd64.exe not help.

I have Nucelo-F303RE but needed easy access to the pins and needed to keep track of their names, but so just sharing a pic of what I came up with: Note you will need two socket headers with long pins of size at least 1x19 (in my case I used 2x20 cause I didn't have any 1x19 ones) that will access the outer columns. The pins unfortunately don't quite line up perfectly into the breadboard like this, so the socket headers are slightly non-vertical, but at least it works and gets access to outer columns over the breadboard.  And make sure you have a good fine-point pen for writing the pin names small and legibly onto the sticker or tape.  I wish they included such a set of pre-labeled stickers with the board.

Hello all, I've been using my STLINK V3 successfully for around half a year until it suddenly stopped working from one day to the next. When connecting it to the PC (no target) the green light is on and the red light if flashing forever. It does not turn orange like described in the manual, neither switch to constant red, as it was before. Windows it not recognizing it as an USB device at all (the first two times it showed something like unknown device, but never again since).My setup works with another STLINK V3 so I would exclude cable, USB port issues or similar.  Any idea, what the issue here is, or how to fix it?

Hello, I wanted to use these screen from aliexpress : It uses MIPI DSI and Touch Screen. I have no idea yet if touch pins are doubled on both sides. But I don't know how to connect these pins in the devboard which looks like that on the back ... Any suggestion how should I interpret these pinouts and how to connect on this board ? I am a bit new to this MIPI standard stuff.  

Hello, I have been trying various methods of installing the ST-Link USB drivers on my Windows 11 Laptop, with absolutely no success. Here is the output I see when I try to run the installation batch file from the stsw-link009 download:When I plug in my nucleo board, this is what I see in the device manager:When I open the properties on the ST-Link device, it (obviously) says that the drivers are not installed. Needless to say, if I try to run a program form the Cube IDE, I get a "No-ST-Link Detected" message. Also, if I open a project on the mbed IDE while the nucleo is plugged in, the board does get recognized. The board is the F091RC, although I am not sure that's relevant to my issues. The pre-loaded blinky program does work as well. I am a beginner in this space, so please let me know if I'm doing something dumb. I've read and watched a lot of things to try and figure out, and everything I've found either completely skips over any issues with this (so presumably it isn't a normal i
