STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

I ordered https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-n657x0-q.html and it mentions Camera module FPC. But I cannot find any information on which protocol it uses for this camera connection. For example, can I use https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-56g3mai.html#overview with the MIPI-CSI2 protocol? Where could I find more information about the supported camera's for the STM32N6 evaluation board?

Hey all,I've spent a fair amount of time trying to make a DTMF tone generator using an STM32F411VE board I got as a gift. The board comes with a CS43L22 DAC chip that can be accessed by the STM32F411 through I2C and I2S. My rationale is as follows:1) Using the reference manual and CS43L22 datasheet, write a simple I2C driver to initialize the DAC, send commands, etc.2) Using the reference manual and CS43L22 datasheet, next write a simple I2S driver to send audio data via DMA to the DAC.3) Use the FPU to calculate samples of the desired DTMF tone and use a circular buffer/DMA to write those samples to the DAC with a frequency of 48 kHz.Seemed simple enough to me, and if I thought that if I followed the two aforementioned documents closely, I should be able to knock it out in a couple of days (I'm still a bit of a beginner with bare-metal programming).That was not the case :) the biggest hurdle I've hit so far involves the CS43L22 DAC. It does not seem to be seeing the same MCLK/SCK/LRCK

HiI just received a STLink-V3SET from www.tme.eu.It does not appear to be a clone in any way.Upon trying to update it with StLinkUpgade 3.16.8 it shows its ST-Link ID but claims that the current firmware is V0J0S0 and at the bottom it says "Unknown firmware type. Don't know how to upgrade." Have I received a faulty device?Best regardsMartin

I'm working on a project requiring me to save a frame captured by a camera to an SD Card. I'm using SPI to do this. I am able to save the image from an OV5640 camera to sram in a buffer using DMA, where the size is more than 300,000 bytes. I am able to save a text file to the card if I have something short like "Hello World," but when I try to save the buffer containing the frame, error code 1 is returned signaling a hard fault. Also, the errors aren't always the same, sometimes the close and un-mounting steps end in a hard fault too, but that usually goes away after rerunning the code. I am using SD Card drivers from KiwiH here. I added debug print statements throughout the f_write function in ff.c and I saw that the line that is causing the error is the here (line ~3691):if (disk_write(fs->drv, wbuff, sect, cc) != RES_OK) ABORT(fs, FR_DISK_ERR);This line is only ran when the contents of the buffer span multiple sectors, which than makes sense that the short messages work correctly

What is the lens used on the B-CAMS-OMV kit?  Or, what is the field of view?  or, what is the focal length?

I have this SRC1m1 board and would like to run some tests with it at 20V. Your user manual is conspicuously not mentioning running it above 5V. It does have a lot to say about running it at 5V if you do not have UCPD. Sortof implying if you do have UCPD you can run it above 5V. But I don't see how.Can anyone clue me in on how you can run this board with a 20V source? As far as I know PD requires 5V connection, then negotiation to get 20V. This board has no capability to output more than a single voltage. So there is no way to do the negotiation at 5V then switch to 20V. So running above 5V is not possible.  Correct?Or am I supposed to monitor the PD data when when I see the ACCEPT message sent out I should quickly (within tPSTransition 550ms) change my PSU to 20V?

Hi everyone, I am currently having the problem, that I cannot flash a working Program to a new STM32f746G-DISCO.The Software Is already written, and runs on 6 other STM32f746G_DISCO Boards, that were ordered in 2021.Now I wanted to flash this exact Software to a Discovery board that I bought a few days ago (production Date is November 2023), and I cannot get it to work. I am only using CubeProgrammer and the ".elf" File to flash the board. I tried one of the older Boards and it still works great, but with the new one I only get a fuzzy screen. Was there some kind of product revision? I tried:- Using the two different external oaders in CubeProgrammer- Creating a new sampleproject in TouchGFX Designer. I am trying to work on STM32F439ZIT6 using its respective Nucleo board. I am not able to generate an ioc file even after installing the latest version 1.28.2 in STM32F4 series. Why is this happening and how can i resolve this issue?RegardsavbST

My STlink V2 is not being detected. I bought an original stlink but it's still not being detected. I had a clone previously. It's frustrating why it's only happening with me. It says could not verify ST device. When I update it it says can't detect ST Link. And I don't even know how I am able to update stlink every time I connect it. Please help. 

Hello everyone,​I've designed a development board featuring an on-board STLink (based on STM32F103CBU6) and an on-board MCU (STM32H753VIH6. However, I'm encountering a frustrating issue with the on-board STLink functionality.​I've flashed the STLinkV2.J28.M18 firmware onto the on-board STLink, and it seems to be recognized correctly by my system. Both the virtual COM port and the STLink device appear in the Device Manager without any errors. That part seems to be working as expected.​The problem arises when I try to use this on-board STLink to connect to the STM32H753VIH6 MCU. It simply won't establish a connection. I've done some troubleshooting to narrow things down:​I've confirmed that the power supply to both the STLink and H753 MCU is stable and correct.​The H753 MCU itself is functioning properly.​Most importantly, I can successfully program and debug the H753 MCU using an external STLink connected to the board's SWD interface. Hi,I have STM32H757I-EVAL board which has MB1166 Rev A LCD daughter board. I tried to find which display controller is used with this LCD display. I had gone through the MB1166 schematics which shows 2 options  1. KM-040TMP-02 2. FRD397B2509I got confused which one to consider.And I found different in example code which is OTM8009A. Which display driver used exactly in this board? Thanks,Satheesh

good morning, I am wondering what the DNF means in my datasheet: does it mean there is no connection between pb3 and the LED? then i am wondering if i can use PB3 for other instances, and i am also wondering why there is this DNF instead of just not connecting PB3 and the LEDBest regards

I am a beginner at stm32 Nucleo board, when I connect the board and the Lap, LD5 turns green but LD4 turns to green/red blinking, which means the voltage is correct but the MCU has no response or connection error. Could you please help with that?

I'm working with the NUCLEO -F 446ZE MB1137 B-01 development board. My goal is to make a Virtual Com Port tunnel, where I plug in PA11/PA12 (USB device) to a PC and PB14/PB15 (USB host) to another product my company makes. I want to use the full speed (12 MBits/s) on both USB peripherals. It was very straight-forward to get the USB device to work using STM32CubeIDE, but no matter what I do I can't get the USB host to work. To isolate the problem, I removed the USB device completely and I’m currently only focusing on the USB host. I've added some logging here and there (using a sw bit-bang UART) e.g. in USBH_UserProcess, USBH_CDC_ClassRequest, OTG_HS_IRQHandler and in case of errors in MX_USB_HOST_Init. I have set PG6 high (right after the call to MX_USB_HOST_Init) to enabled VBUS on the CN13 connector (and measured 5 V on the 4th pin on a micro-USB to USB-A-female connector) and LED LD8 shows green light and LED LD7 (over-current indicator) never lights up. Hello, I have been having issues trying to get my STM32F411 PCB working with the USB-C bootloader, currently the device is not even being recognized at all by my computer. When checking with a multimeter I have found that D+ is not pulled high by the internal pull-up. I have checked for shorts, faults in wiring but I have yet to find any. The STM32's VDD pins are receiving 3.18V as well. The HSE I am using is a YXC X322512MSB4SI. Any help is greatly appreciated thank you.
