STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hello everyone,I’m currently working with the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 evaluation kit. According to the User Manual, the board features a 34-pin, 0.4 mm pitch high-current connector for board-to-FPC or board-to-board expansion. It is stated that: “The pinout of the 34-pin connector is compliant with the STMOD+ by using a dedicated adapter (not included in the kit).” I would like to know how I can obtain this specific STMOD+ adapter or a compatible 34-pin cable. Is there an official STMicroelectronics part number or recommended distributor for this accessory?Any guidance would be appreciated.Thanks in advance!

My board has the C031C6 nucleo, my attempts were:Change the USB for a data cable;Try to connect with the under reset and software reset on the Programmer;Update the firmware and driver on the Programmer, IDE and ST-LinkUpgrade;All of this with and without the jumpers (CN2 and JP1) and the problem remained.Errors that appeared on the Programmer during the attempts:No debug probe detected;No STM32 target found;Unable to get core ID;No ST-Link device found.What should I do?(P.S.: English isn´t my first language, so I`m sorry for the mistakes.)

Trying to get SPI1 to work on the NUCLEO-H7S3L8.Starting a new project from the Board Selector works with no problem, however starting from the MCU Selector, the HAL_SPI_Transmit gets stuck at in stm32h7rsxx_hal_spi.c in the while loop at line 4008.Eventually we will be using a custom board, so need to figure this out. I'm trying to create an ADC project using nucleo-h723zg. I want to measure AC voltage and current (simultaneously). I created electronics with isolation amplifiers, which have, as an output, a differential signal with a common DC voltage. The common DC voltage is set by the manufacturer to be 1.45V.I followed the STM32H723 manual and noticed that the input common voltage (for differential inputs) on the ADC should be around Vref+/2. So I need Vref+ to be 2.9V. So I created that reference voltage regulator on my separate electronics board. I also created a small power-up delay (~1ms) for this Vref+ voltage. 2.9V LDO's ground is connected to Agnd on the nucleo board.I removed R36 from NUCLEO board and connected my new Vref+ source.ADC signal is within 2.9V span (Agnd - Vref+), together with a DC common voltage. Hi,I'm designing a PCB using H755, and the corresponding Nucleo's reference design is a helpful resource that I've been looking at closely.I'd like to support supply config modes 2 & 3 on my board but would prefer to do this using jumpers rather than solder bridges, adding/removing resistors or changing capacitor values: all these being needed on the Nucleo. Hello, I am an engineer developing a board using STM32G071.   Currently, I am using all pins of the MCU, SPI, I2C, and GPIO, but one of the products is overheating and overcurrent is occurring. The existing consumption is 30mA, but the problematic product consumes 110mA. I would like to inquire about which pin of the MCU can cause overcurrent to flow. Or, if you tell me a case where overcurrent can occur in the STM32G071, I will check it out.

Hi ,I am using NUCLEO-H723ZG board for my project work. It was working fine and from few days I am facing an issue, when I try to debug or try to run the code an error pops up telling : Error in initializing STLink device. Target no device found.

Hi, there's something confusing in the schematic for the H755 Nucleo's reference PCB schematic (MB1363).I don't mind adding that I'm getting a bit tired of confusing and contradictory documentation from ST Micro.The description of changes when configuring PSU config modes 2 and 3 are as below:In the highlighted note at lower left it says that to enable Config 3: "Connect VDD_SMPS_IND_OUT to VDD_LDO".However, looking just above at Config 2 it seems clear that VDD_SMPS_IND_OUT is already connected to VDD_LDO via the node 1V2_MCU which is always connected to both VDD_LDO and VDD_SMPS_IND_OUT.Can somebody from please confirm how this should work?My understanding is that the two modes can be summarised as follows (ignoring some capacitor changes):Mode 2VDD_LDO == VDD_SMPS_IND_OUTVDBSD == VCAPMode 3VDD_LDO == VDD_SMPS_IND_OUTVFBSD == VDD_LDOI need a quick answer please because I've a PCB layout needing to go to manufacture.Thanks

Hello, I'm trying to use this nucleo board with the camera DCMI interface. This camera has operation condition between 2V8 and 3V1.Currently, I power the camera with a external source of 2.9V but the nucleo board is in 3V3.Is there a solution to power the MCU (but still have the st-link working) to 3V or 2V8? Thank you, Simon

Hi all.Am working with the STM32H573-DK, trying to get the ethernet connection working with FreeRTOS & LWIP over DHCP.I can see with Wireshark that it's sending the DHCP discover out ok & the DHCP server is responding with an offer but the code seems to miss that packet.I know the code is receiving some ARP packets from the DHCP server.I know that the hardware works ok if I use the ThreadX example (but I need a FreeRTOS environment).My best guess so far is the DK is not receiving UDP packets? (Which is the format of the DHCP Offer)Anyone else experienced similar with this DK? 

Hello, first of all I'm completely new with microcontrollers and I really don't know anything. This is my first experience trying out one. I'm a total noob.I'm using STM32F103C8T6 with STLink V2. I have 4 units of STM32 and 3 of STLink. I upgraded the firmware of all my STLinks in CubeProgrammer succesfully with no errors.I succesfully programmed a USB that simulates a keyboard that periodically sends the letter "r" to the PC. I also programmed two versions of a 16 button gamepad; one that uses polling and another that uses interrupts to detect button presses. I have the keyboard and one of the gamepad programs actually flashed into 2 of my STM32 right now. I also have a version of the 16 button gamepad in a ".bin" file that I copied with CubeProgrammer.So, everything was working properly; I flashed and tested 2 of my 4 STM32 multiple times with one STLink, as well as mass erased their memory also multiple times. Hi,I read (here) that it's possible to use a Nucelo board's in-built ST-Link Vn debugger to program/debug a custom STM32 board. However, I have a doubt about this.Please can anyone tell me whether such an approach is possible? I have available two Nucleo's: STM32F429 and STM32H755, and if either can be used to debug my custom H755 board that would be very good.Advice about how to connect boards would be much appreciated.Purchasing a debugger is obviously an option, but I don't like spending money.Thanks

I am developing the board using STM32H7R7L8H6H. So in our design we uses multiple interfaces like TFT LCD RGB888, Ethernet(RMII), RS485, Wi-Fi-BLE module, External Flash and PSRAM.So for better signal integrity, can you please provide impedance and length matching guidelines, specially for TFT LCD, Ethernet(RMII), External FLASH and PSRAM.

I have a "NUCLEO-H723ZG" dev board. My current configuration is to power the dev board by 3V3 (CN8 pin 7 or CN11 pin 16), with all jumpers from the "PWR JP2" removed, as according to section "6.4.5 External power supply input from 3V3_EXT (3.3 V)" of the "UM2407 STM32H7 Nucleo-144 boards (MB1364)" document.In that section it says:"When the 3.3 V is provided by a shield board, it is worthy to use the 3V3 (CN8 pin 7 or CN11 pin 16) directly as power input (refer to Table 9 and Figure 4). In this case, programming and debugging features are not available, since the STLINK-V3E is not powered."Is there any way at all to safely program / debug / access the virtual COM port routed though the USB connector when the Nucleo is simultaneously powered by 3V3 (CN8 pin 7 or CN11 pin 16)? Looking for some input for selecting an lcd for my custom stm32F764 application.Currently I have the LCD that came with the stm32F746G-DISCO board working with my custom board.The "DISCO" lcd is 4.3: capacitive 480x272.  I need a 5" resistive LCD.  I think I have the resistive aspect figured out, but most of the 5" LCD's are 800x480. 1) I need to verify I will not have a memory issue going with higher res lcd.  What is the best way to determine this?2) The controller on the DISCO LCD is an ST7282,  Do I need to make sure the 5" LCD I pick uses a similar controller? If not, will I be re-writing a lot of driver code to get it to work?3) should I make sure display has same 40 pin connector with same signals,  seems like there is typically a 40 or 50 pin option.  (I will most likely have a separate connector for the 4 pin resistive panel) Just need some advice on this as I do not have much experience with using different TFT displays in custom a

The system has by itself a prescaller to 108 which i can not edit and the SWO clock is 2000.There is nothing printed in the port 0 . I have placed an interupt in the function above to ensure that printf really calls the write function. This is true it uses the write function but ITM_SendChar does not do anything,

Hi STM Community,I'm trying to use the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A board to measure the current consumption of an Arduino UNO during simple blinking states.Setup Description:Power output is taken from CN14 (OUT and GND pins) on the LPM01A.These lines are directly connected to the Arduino UNO's 3.3V pin and GND.The LPM01A is powered via USB and in normal measurement mode.Problem:Before connecting Arduino UNO, LPM01A display shows a stable 3.3V (or sometimes 3.27V).After connecting the Arduino UNO, the voltage drops to ~1.5V, and the Arduino does not power on.Working Comparison:Previously, I tested the same setup using STM32 NUCLEO-C031C6 as the target board.I removed SB2 and SB23 bridges as per the reference manual.In that setup, everything worked as expected — voltage remained stable, and current measurements were valid.My Questions:Why does the voltage drop when powering the Arduino UNO?Is it not recommended to supply power directly to the Arduino UNO's 3.3V pin using LPM

Hi, i'm currently working on the STMH747I-Disco board, and integrating the STEVALSMKI227AA, and within using the LSM6DSV16X IMU sensor fusion to get the game rotation vector data via FIFO. The problem is that we are ready the status of the fifo 0x00 as a result we are the getting the value of the fifo tag also as 0x00, even though we have configured the sensor fusion as well as the configurations for the fifo. We are getting the value of Gyro and Accelerometer through their dedicated registers, however, we are not getting anything through the FIFO. I'm sharing with you my code and its output, and as you can see, we made all the configurations related to them. If anyone has managed to get this working or knows the correct steps, I'd really appreciate your guidance. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

HiI'm trying to sample a sine wave between 400 and 500 kHz with the Nucleo H723ZG. I'm using the 16 bit adc 1 with following configuration:sampling rate: 2 MSpsT_sampling: 16.5 clock cyclesf_adc: 50 MHz (from PLL2P: 100 MHz)DMA circular modecontinuous conversion modeadc trigger: regular conversion launched by softwareI'm trying to calculate the correct frequency of the signal. The calculated frequency fluctuates between +-500Hz, which is not accurate enough.The code to calculate the frequency has been tested with pre-generated values with a given frequency and works fine with an accuracy of +- 1Hz.I already checked the reference voltage VREF, which is fine, and removed L1 (as described in https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/fluctuations-in-adc-value-of-stm32h743-mcu/m-p/331501#M79889).There seems to be a problem with the sampling / sampling rate.Any solutions will be highly appreciated .Thank you

When the STLINKV3 is used with the additional connector board (MB1440) the lower back can no longer be attached. This means that the LEDs on the top are no longer visible. I have designed a 3d-printable lower cover that remedies this :I have also made a little board that allows me to connect a 6-pin debug probe to the JTAG connector.The files can be found on my github page:github.com/olafdreyer/stlinkv3modCheersO.
