Hi, I am using an STM32H7RS3x device with external QSPI flash connected to XSPI2 interface with address = 0x7000_0000.I have noticed that the base address of from the hexfile I have to flash into external XSPI (of course using external loader) is not 0x7000_0000 but 0x2407_1c00, which is, curiously, the address of the NONCACHEABLE RAM. What decides the the base address of the hex file? First of all, I am not using CUBE IDE, this is a bare metal.Second: STM32H523. ADC (continuous mode; DMA). ADC is configured on PA0 (i.e. INP1, single-ended), GPIO configuration is analog mode.On the pin I can probe (oscilloscope) my signal (correct amplitude): a sinus. But the data (from DMA) is noise.Configured with PA1, all works fine (so my soft is ok). Using ADC1 or ADC2 does not change anything.Second observation: with PA0, the DC is not fixed (floating pin), but configured on PA1, the pin is DC-driven (about VDDA/2, high impedance).=> For these reasons, I have the feeling PA0 is not connected to ADC. I can't find anything in registers/documentation/erratas explaining this (on H7 there is some analog switches, but nothing for H5).Any clue? Thanks! 

In the RM0456, the LPUART has a block diagram (67.4.1) with a register called LPUART_ RTOR but there is no documentation about this register. For USART, this register is related to Receiver timeout interrupt but this feature is not available for LPUART.

I am using the STM32L433RCT6 and need to assign a GPIO pin as an external interrupt, which will be used to wake and shutdown the MCU (shutdown must use minimal power).However, I am not sure if I have to use a specific GPIO pin, or if I can use any GPIO pin for the external interrupt ?The external interrput will be connected to a momentary push button (net PWR_SWITCH)...There will be a procedure to wake and shutdown the MCU as explained below (there is also a link to a video to demonstrate the procedure)... Start the switch-on cycle by clicking the button once. After approx. one second, an LED will flash. You mustacknowledge the LED light immediately by clicking the button again. This sequence - a click as soon as the LED appears - will be repeated two more times. Dear,We would on the STM32H7B0RBTx connecting 2 external QSPI RAM of APS6404L-3SQN-SN.Therefore we will use the 2 QSPI RAM chips in Multiplex mode, but we have only 1 NCS pin that we can configure.When we look in the application note AN5050 on page 27 we see that it is possible but with STM32Cube it isn't possible to configure the NCS pin on port 2.What we doing wrong here?How we should configure the other parameters of the QCTOSPI in STM32cube for the used RAM chip?OCTOSPI1OCTOSPI2:

Hi, Since there's a huge market for microcontrollers on boards such as the Arduino, like the ATMega and ATTiny, which are available in 20- or 40-pin DIPs, I was wondering if ST competes (could be with the 32bit or 8bit line) with those somehow. If so, what are the options of microcontrollers that compare with them?I'm asking because sometimes using an STM32 is overkill for certain projects, while some STM8 options are too restrictive. Having the flexibility for adding those TH components makes everything much easier when designing boards that do not necessarily need the complexity of manufacturing in SMD. Best,Alessandro

Hello，I want to use the PB6 pin as an external interrupt input. When the PB6 pin is triggered, the program enters the low-power stop mode from the normal operation mode. When it is triggered again, the program enters the normal operation mode from the low-power stop mode. According to the above, the test found that after the program enters the low-power mode, it cannot return to the normal operation mode again. Does anyone have experience in this area and can provide me with a solution?

Hi STM Community,I am using a custom board based on the STM32F407VGT6 MCU. Currently, I’m not getting accurate RTC time when using the internal LSI clock (the drift is too high for my application). So I’ve decided to use an external 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator connected to PC14 (OSC32_IN) and PC15 (OSC32_OUT) as recommended.Could you please clarify: What are the exact hardware requirements (crystal specs, load capacitors, recommended ESR, drive level)? How should I calculate and place the load capacitors to match the crystal? Are there any layout best practices (trace length, shielding, keep-out) to get stable LSE operation? Any recommended crystal part numbers that work well with STM32F4? Any common issues or troubleshooting tips if the LSE does not start?

This is driving me crazy, whay timers on STM32 are so complicated and no normal information / datasheets etc, how to use.Timer2 is working (external clock), Timer interrupt (TIM_IT_UPDATE) also working, but not capture interrupt. And signal is also present on capture pin, when I manually write capturing code without timer inside main() thread, then it's working. Moved from this thread. What is the maximum amount of time required after bringing nRST high for a Pattern 11 MCU to determine that flash is blank, recognize that BOOT0 is high, and enter the ROM bootloader?  I suspect we may have a timing issue, in that my application may not be waiting long enough before interrogating the bootloader.  (I would test this right now, but we handed off the project to our customer some time ago... they will be testing it later today).  Is this maximum time specified anywhere in ST's documentation? Hi All,I am successfully programming and debugging a NUCLEO-STM32F401RE by its embedded ST-LINK programmer using STM32CubeIDE v.1.12.0 on a computer running Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS, updated and upgraded.I have a second PC running exactly the same Ubuntu, CubeIDE, CubeProgrammer versions but when I try to debug the same NUCLEO board I get the error message "No-ST-LINK detected! etc etc".I deduce that my USB cable is just fine, that no hardware issues are present and that my two PCs looks the same but some set up difference(s) should exist between them preventing the interface to run properly on the second machine. I wasn't able to identify this difference and solve the problem.I am aware that several "No ST-LINK detected" posts are present on the STM32 Forums but none of them fixed the issue.Finally, I upgraded STM32CubeIde and Programmer to a third computer (same Ubuntu version) to their latest release, while keeping the other two PCs "identical", and can confirm that the upgrade did NOT fi

Hello,We are working on a stm32f429.The application uses ADC1 to sample data on Channel 0-7.ADC1 and channels characteristics are:- Mode: Independant- Sampling clock: Around 2.8 Mhz- No DMA access- Sampling delay: 20 clocks periods (max value)- Resolution: 12 bits- No scan mode- NO continuous conversion- Single conversion mode- Channel sampling time is 480 clock cyles (max value)- Vref+ = Vdda = 3.3V- VSS = 0VEach channel is connected to a sensor with a voltage variation of 0-3.30V.The signal on each channel is a low frequency.The sampling period for all channel is 1 second.Channels are sampled alternatively in the following order 0,1,2..7.This works pretty well, with a very good precision for our application. Now the specific issue we have is:When the sensor voltage on channel N is >= 2V, The voltage measured by the ADC on Channel N+1is lower than the nominal value by 0.3V.Only channel N+1 is affected all the other channels are not. Hi STM Team, We are using STM32H757XIH6 microcontroller in our design for one of the project. We are having the query regarding FMC port. We are planning to use 8 bit data bus (FMC_D0-D7) of FMC port to drive multiple peripherals like LCD, Keypad, ADCs, IO cards etc.We understand their are 4 Chip Selects NE1,NE2,NE3 and NE4.We also intend to use GPIO pins to work as additional Chip Selects for all above peripherals. Can we use the FMC port data lines (FMC_D0-D7) along with GPIOs as additional Chip Selects for above application? Request you to please share the steps to configure FMC port for this application. Could you please also confirm if we can use FMC port signals as GPIO signals? Appreciate your support.

I'm working with an STM32H7 board and trying to interface with some external RAM using OCTOSPI over the HyperBus protocol. I'm attempting to run the RAM in memory-mapped mode and have mostly followed the STM32 application note provided by STM.Most of the code was adapted directly from the application note. During the delay calibration step, the code gets stuck when trying to access the external memory. Specifically, the fault happens here:*mem_addr = Cal_buffer[index]; // IT HAPPENS HEREThis results in the program entering MemManage_Handler(void), and execution halts. I think i might have some misconfigurations.I had to make a small modification to the DelayBlock_Calibration() function. The original line:HAL_RCCEx_OCTOSPIDelayConfig(delay, 0);was replaced with:__HAL_RCC_OSPI_CONFIG(delay);because the original function didn't compile for me. Hello all,we are using the STM32H7S3Z8T6 in a project. It has four VDDxSPI pins for an external power supply if XSPI is used. I also found some information in app note AN5935.However, we are not using external memory and therefore we don't need an additional power supply. Unfortunately I didn't find any information on what to do with these pins if XSPI is not used. Leave them open? Connect to Gnd? Connect a capacitor? And an additional question: the "normal" SPI buses are not powered by VDDxSPI right? Those pins are just for XSPI?

I am having issues with the STM32G0 ADC measurements. Hi all,I am designing a PCB using the STM32G030K6Tx and for my application I only require the HSE external crystal, which I believe I connect to GPIO pins PC14 and PC15. When I go the the .ioc file in the STM32CubeIDE (System Core -> RCC) I see there is only an option to enable the LSE and no option to enable the HSE. How do I go able enabling the HSE? Hello,I'm trying to implement an I3C target device which sends inband interrupts when I push the blue Nucleo button.But I also want it to be ready to receive data via a private message.To do this I call `HAL_I3C_Tgt_Receive_IT` after receiving a dynamic address. But to send an inband interrupt I must abort this action and before being able to call `HAL_I3C_Tgt_IBIReq_IT`.The problem I'm facing is that the abort only finalizes if the controller tries to send a private command. My expectation is that `HAL_I3C_Abort_IT` would abort the pending receive action right away so I can send an inband interrupt.Is there any way to realize this by modifying the HAL library? Configure STM32G0 to sample 11 channels; When voltage is injected into only one channel each time, the sampling values of all channels are correct. When voltage is injected into 11 channels simultaneously, the sampling values of all channels are incorrect and random values are displayed. Could someone help me explain the reason for this problem and how I should configure it? Thank you.

Hello,I am beginning development with MCUs, am new to this.  At the moment, I am at the design stage.I have identified a device which seems most suitable for my application, STM32G0B1CET in this case.I am trying to understand the I/O constraints.  I would like to be able to, once in a while, use the bootloader to update firmware in-system.On this particular device, If I understand correctly, the bootloader is designed to use any of a long list of peripherals (two USART, two I2C, two SPI, USB, and FDCAN) - and it accordingly configures the device for this purpose.This appears to very seriously constrain how the pins may be connected on my board (to avoid unwanted interaction or conflict during the boot phase).So it seems that, even if "naively" the device has enough I/O for my application, many of them can't be used just because of how the bootloader (even temporarily) configures them.What am I missing?Thank you.
