Hi all,I'm designing a product that will have a USB boot-loader.I would like to choose a micro-controller that supports secure-boot as well as an ability to completely lock down the micro-controller such that no flash can be read from it. I understand this to be read out protection. Please correct me if I'm wrong.What's the best way to sort ST's micro-controller offerings based on the criteria above? If anyone has recommendations for micros, that would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

Hello,I'm desperate. Just want to concvert some data with the ADC3 with DMA on a H755.No chance! DMA doesn't work, and even a cyclic sample only produces the right values for the first turn. After that, only max. resolution is returned. 12 bit => 0x800 as the result.Can anybody help ?

I succeed in receiving the device address (0xE5).However, afterwards, when I tried to read two registers' value consecutively. I always read the first read's value, so they are both the same value. I have not figured it out yet. I set SSOE bit and HW NSS is also set. Could anyone explain where I missed? Posted on May 15, 2018 at 09:13Hi,I need to send the CTS status from my target hardware to the Virtual com port driver in windows, USBser.sys.I have managed to do all the other handshake signals (DTR, RTS, DCD and DSR) working except CTS. Apparently there is no provision for CTS in USBD PSTNv1.2 form USB.org and there seems to be a bug in the windows USBser.sys driver. The CTS signal status get set whenever you set the DSR signal but then you cant clear the CTS signal again. I am not using CTS for my hardware flow control (It is not necessary) but the program that needs to connect to the VCP driver uses the CTS signal in a login process together with DSRDoes anyone have a clever idea how to manipulate the CTS signal in the CDC class?Your input would be highly appreciated.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to run the STM32N6 (using the STM32N6570-DK discovery kit) in Execute-in-Place mode. I followed the official tutorial for this, and everything works fine. The tutorial uses very low clock speeds for the CPU and AXI, namely 64 MHz, which is of course way too slow for actually using this. Increasing the CPU clock (SYSA) in CubeMX to 600 MHz works fine. However, as soon as I increase the SYSB clock (AXI) to anything higher than around 120-160 MHz (400 MHz should be maximum?) it stops working completely. Of course I made sure that XSPI2 stays at 50 MHz all the time (because I did not enable the I/O speed optimization for higher XSPI speeds).Is there anything else that needs to be done in order to use the MCU at its full speed when doing XIP? hello everyone.. I am using the STM32F429 Discovery board and want to prevent reprogramming of the internal flash after initially flashing the firmware. Once the code is programmed, it should continue to run normally, but no further programming access should be allowed. How can I achieve this? Please suggest an implementation method.

Hi Team, We are utilizing the STM32F373VC controller in our product. However, we have observed that the controller hangs after performing an RS test and only recovers after a power cycle. The device functions normally under other conditions. Below are the relevant details:An external crystal of 32 MHz is used as the clock source.The peripherals in use include ADC, SDADC, USB, I2C (external EEPROM), Timer, UART, RTC, and an independent watchdog.The following analysis has been conducted:The watchdog is functioning as expected.The device is not hanging in any while statement in the application code.The controller is not in any fault handler.The device is not responding to any external operations.Could you please assist in understanding and resolving this issue?Thank you in advance 

Hello,I am using an STM32F401 board and trying to read a sensor using DMA. The sensor is a receive only sensor, i have tested with block SPI if the sensor works and it does. I am trying to read the sensor via DMA as it must be implemented with multiple SPI sensors, yet i can't get the buffer to read correctly? something like that. Launching the code with DMA in receive only causes the DMA interrupt, that would signal a succesfull read, to trigger before the data transfer is complete. I can see an SCLK from the MCU to the Sensor and some data that returns. Just not correct data. I have also tried using SPI Half Duplex Master, as this allows for prescaling the CLK output as well. Connecting the Sensor to the MOSI pin instead of the MISO and using the DMA TransmitReceive, while using dummy packages for the transmit. This causes the code to crash after a few succesfull DMA completions, yet the data is still i

Hi all, I am desperately trying to sample 15 ADC channels using the 3 ADCs of the F405.First I tried using the multi ADC triple mode, with 5 channels set for each ADC. I used DMA to transfer data to memory. It seems to work, but I get garbage data in memory.Then, as an alternate solution, I decided to use the 3 ADCs in independent mode and perform 3 ADC scans of 5 channels on the 3 ADCs, again with DMA.Strangely, I only get one sample by each ADC instead of the 5 expected. Every DMA calls the HAL_ADC_ConvCplCallback as it should, but memory contains only this one sample value. Every ADC also has the overrun bit set in its status register.I do not understand what is wrong.My setup is : my own board using a STM32F405. I use CubeMX and the HAL with FreeRTOS.Attached the main.c and .ioc files showing the init of the ADC, DMA and start of the ADC with DMA.Thanks in advance for your help.

In this code, when I use the temp command, I always get output as "No response received." That means my python CLI is not receiving any data from the STM 32 board. But when I run the same command on the screen terminal on my mac, I get the data. Hello, the STM32G0 low-power state diagram (Figure 8 below) is in the ref. manual RM0444 on page 127.It shows that a direct transition from Run Mode to LP Sleep Mode is not possible.Questions:* Is there a simple method to transition from Run Mode to LP Sleep Mode by 'passing' through LP Run Mode? * After waking up from LP Sleep Mode, where does code execution continue?Reason for the question:Our application needs a low-power mode where the MCU is turned off (no communication with external devices), but can wake up within approx. 500 ms and begin executing at a specific point in the firmware.Thank you!

We have been using an STM32 U585 with additional external FLASH connected to OSPI1 and external PSRAM connected to OSPI2.  This is not on a dev kit, it is our own hardware.  The PSRAM is memory-mapped and is using the HyperBus protocol.  We have noticed that every once in awhile the PSRAM will skip two bytes while reading from the memory.  As this is a memory mapped peripheral, we are reading it via memcpy, and we don't see HAL_OSPI_ErrorCallback or HAL_OSPI_AbortCpltCallback hit.   It appears to always skip 2 bytes after the first 8 bytes of the memcpy, and it still transfers the full number of bytes, walking 2 bytes past the end of the desired read.  Even stranger, if we immediately issue the same memcpy after detecting this issue, it works correctly on the second attempt. I have walked through the errata and the datasheets and cannot find a rhyme or reason as to why we would be determi
