Hi all, I am currently using the STM32F0 MCU. I would like to understand how errors are handled when the CAN bus triggers errors. Specifically, how is the error handling process for each error category implemented? Additionally, how can the system recover to normal operation mode? Are there any related example codes or documentation that you can provide for reference? Thank you very much!

I want test out using an STM30 MCU, I was wondering if anyone could suggest dev board/ processor? I don't want or need wireless communication (wifi and Bluetooth)I want to run a lot of linier potentiometers/ fader / lingering encoders. Using usb CIn whish list for final product I want to have USB C throughout for data, My primary design constraint is that I want final production units to cost no more then $100.So I want to find right MCU that is cost effective for fader inputs with out bells and whistles. Thanks for you help,Jim

Greetings! I am using STM32 for a very first time. I made my custom PCB with 10MHz oscillator. In the Clock Configuration window I have sellected the PLL and the HCLK is set to 80MHz (max for the uC). The outputs are all 80MHz. Here to be precise: while ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) < wait) { } I checked with oscilloscope and the quarz is working! I also tried different interrupt priorities for Sys Tick Timer.Any other suggestions?I have no experience with these uC.Thanks!

Hello,I need to connect more than 2 MCUs with SPI connection(1 Master, 2Slaves). Here is my Hardware connections :MISO1->MOSI2 && MOSI3MOSI1->MISO2 && MISO3SCK1->SCK2 && SCK3NSS1->NSS2 && NSS3But I don't know how I can select each slave with master (MCU1). Is there any SPI chip select available in the MCU or it i desired?

Hello all, I am working with a NUCLEO-STM32H7S3L8 board, but I am unable to connect to it using STM32CubeProgrammer or flash firmware using STM32CubeIDE. I am currently integrating the AR0144 sensor with STM32 using the DCMI interface with DMA for image capture. Hello,I have an STM32H743 on a custom application PCB and I need to use the IWDG as well as the standby mode to save precious battery current.I have noticed the following strange behavior:1 - I mass erase the STM32H743 using STM32CubeProgrammer2 - I read the options bytes and confirm that the FZ_IWDG_STBY is unchecked. So the independent watchdog is not running when the STM32H743 is in standby mode.3 - I program my application to the STM32H743 then I disconnect STM32CubeProgrammer as well as the STLink-V3MINIE from the PCB4 - I send the command (custom communication over USB) to put the STM32H743 into standby mode. However, at this point, the IWDG wakes up the STM32H743 after it expires as it was still running!5 - I power cycle the board and I send again the command to put the STM32H743 into standby mode. Now it works as expected, the IWDG does not wake up the STM32H743. This correct

Hi there,I have a new custom PCB with STM32H735IGT6 with Infineon HyperRAM S70KL1283 connected to OCTOSPI2.This RAM device does not use HYPERBUS but xSPI (Octal) interface. It seems to be using a combination of HYPERBUS and regular command SPI mode as protocol.As far as I understand the supported frame formats in the STM32H735 our RAM device is not supported by the OCTOSPI interface.Is that correct?As a solution we have to take the HYPERBUS variant (S70KL1282) of the RAM device.Can anybody confirm my thoughts?Many thanks!

Hi All,I know the dreaded 'Failed to load MI command' error has been much discussed on the forum but I can't find any posts which match this set of circumstances, so hoping somebody can help.My project was working perfectly on STM32G0 but I need to port it to STM32C0. My IDE was at version 1.13.2 (I don't like updating unless I'm forced to and this is a good example of why) but C0 is a new part so I had no choice. It updated to 1.17.0 and of course that also forced an update to ST-LINK.Now nothing works. I can neither debug nor run my previously working code on the target board, which I know is just fine. I've tried swapping the ST-LINK to a different USB port and also changing the port number in Debug Configurations to no avail.Note that I elected not to migrate the project across to 1.17.0 when it was offered as I thought changing the least amount possible would be the best approach. Maybe that's the issue but I don't know how to take up the offer now.

Hi, I am using STM32G0B1x MCU on my custom hardware and using built in FD CAN controller for communication with external CAN 2.0 device. ATA6560/1 is the CAN transceiver chip from Microchip I am using on my custom board. As per datasheet this chip is CAN FD ready.  I have gone through application note AN5348 and also video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGRvVKfs2-0 for using FDCAN in normal operating mode. It tells me to use kvaser tool to calculate values for parameters for CAN controller settings. I used this tool with following inputs to achieve Nominal and Data bit rate as 125Kbps.

I have some data that is accessed from a normal context and also from an IRQ. I am disabling the interrupt to prevent interrupted access. So no concerns there. However, what about forcing both the normal context and the interrupt context to have the same data? Do I need to declare every accessed variable as std::atomic? HiWe are facing problems when reading a data that is written to the flash using the following function?Every time we write in reading the data the micro-controller crashes. The memory I'm writing is 16-byte aligned (both flash destination and RAM source) and a multiple of 16 bytes in length. Using HAL to write the flash. Writing the first quadword fails with the error OPTWERR. This is quite unexpected since I am not, as far as I know, doing anything with option bytes.The data a sizeable chunk of just over 2KB (falling within an 8KB page), but it fails on the first quadword anyway. The context is storing a user-modifiable look up table to support a UI. We use two pages as a simulated EEPROM.The code is basically just __HAL_FLASH_CLEAR_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_ALL_ERRORS), HAL_FLASH_Unlock(), HAL_FLASH_Program() in a loop, HAL_FLASH_Lock().  Inside HAL_FLASH_Program(), there are calls to FLASH_WaitForLastOperation(), FLASH_Program_QuadWord(), FLASH_WaitForLastOperation() - again. The second call to FLASH_WaitForLastOperation() is where the OPTWERR bit is set for some reason.Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
