Hi, I am new on STM32 and I started a product prototype using STM32F769-Discovery. I developed all software using default clock configuration, which uses HSE. Now I want to change to HSI, but USART is not working ( Not true, only works when board resets after downloading the program. Hi,we are examining if we can apply our March-C test to the STM32H562. It is tailored to the RAM address order of the STM32F446. Unfortunately, the documentation does not seem to provide any hints here. Is there a difference in RAM address order between these two controllers?

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to configure the MPU of my microcontrollore in order to have this behaviour.I've a framebuffer in ram that is big 384KB. I've modified my linker in order to have the framebuffer starting at location 0x24022000The RAM_D1 starts at 0x24000000 and finish at 0x2407FFFFI like to use the DCache for normal operation but I would like to disable the cache for the region 0x24022000 - 0x2407FC00 in order to avoid graphic glitches due to the DMA and LTDC accesses.I'm aware of the SCB_CleanDCache_by_Addr and SCB_InvalidateDCache_by_Addr functions but I would like to make this ram not cacheable so I can not use these functions anymore.I've configured my MPU in this way: void MPU_Config(void) { MPU_Region_InitTypeDef MPU_InitStruct = {0}; /* */ HAL_MPU_Disable

Hi all - I'm new to the STM ecosystem and I've been stuck on an STM32H743/ Micropython issue.My (custom) board can upload Micropython firmware via both SWD and DFU. So DM/ DP work.VCC measures 3.21V, maybe a little low, maybe just my DMM.I'm not able to get this board to communicate over TX/ RX or see the board as a USB device. The STM32H743 does not need series resistors on DP/DM and it has an internal pullup on DP. I built a new Micropython firmware with (AFAIK) the correct settings/ pins for USB in mpconfigboard.h-Do I need to configure the internal pullup? And how? -What am I missing?TL;Dr custom board w STM32, what does it need to run microPython?

I have two MCUs and I connected them by SPI, one of them is master and another is slave.On slave MCU, I used two SPI1 and SPI2 and I connected them serially by wire, sometimes connect and disconnectthem by S1, I want to ask is it possible to have this switch by software?

good morning everyone, i am trying to use the ADC of the stm32h745 disco. for that i connected my ADC to a breadboard with a potentiometer. I wanted to change the value of the potentiometer so i can see on my computer the values. I got inspired by this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsZLgqhqfO0. unfortunately, it did not give the values that i want. as you can see, the values where moving between 2000 and 3000 and did not change when i changed the resistance of the potentiometer, even when i disconected directly the wires from the breadboard:

I'm using Nucleo32-F303K8. I'm running low on pins and can't upgrade to a bigger MCU. I was thinking of using NRST pin as an E-Stop. Would that be a good idea? The GPIO pins would be externally driven low or high while under and after the reset, especially on UART2. Looking at the diagrams in the reference manual I think it'd be ok, but I'm still unsure.

Hello, I am using STM32G0B1,  i have implemented the FDCAN communication but the issue i am facing with the cycle timei have set the cycle time for 500ms i.e. every 400ms CAN messages will be transmitted. every thing works good until i am not receiving the CAN message in my callback function but when i send the CAN messages the cycle time for message increases to 1000ms 1500ms and come back to 400ms this happens often.cycle time when not receiving CAN message (refer below image ID 7A1, 7A2) cycle time when receiving CAN message (refer below image ID 7A1, 7A2)

HI All, I am trying to connect an STM32F413 and the TDK ICM-42688 IMU chip using SPI.  The connection works correctly and the ICM-42688 responds, but the data doesnt seem to be clocked into the STM32F413 chip.   The ICM-42688 Timing data is: So CPOL = 1, CPHA = 2 and SCLK ic high in idle.(I have also tried CPOL = 1 and CPHA = 1  which also delivers an identical result)The Device Config is as follows:  hspi1.Instance = SPI1;hspi1.Init.

I would like to determine MCU's behavior when two simultaneous events trigger interrupts on a single timer.  For instance on TIM2, if both the output compare register and auto-reload register hold the same value and both corresponding interrupts are enabled, is a single interrupt generated or are interrupts generated for each event?  In the STM32 HAL (stm32f1xx_hal_tim.c) a single ISR (void HAL_TIM_IRQHandler(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim)) is called for all interrupts generated by the timer events.  The ISR essentially prioritizes interrupts through a sequence of if/else instructions.  I think if two interrupts are generated, a callback for the high-priority would be generated while the other interrupt would be pending.  Otherwise, only the higher priority interrupt would be recognized.  I did RFTM but did not find the answer to this. 

Heyho,I'm using the H733 (custom board) / H735 (eval kit) with Infineon's HyperRAM S70KL1281 / S70KL1282 at 100 MHz for some time now, all working great, except for one thing that is very annoying:the data throughput from / to HyperRAM seems to depend on compilation, even though the OCTOSPI peripheral was not changedafter some compilations it's about 178 Mbyte / s, after another only 54 MB/s.data throughput is constant for one compilation, no matter if I call the test function at MCU power up or while operating with all other peripherals runningno caching anywhereI'm pretty sure that it's not "faulty" timing measurements, using the cycle counter and disabling all interrupt calls around the for loops.Is there something wrong in my test function?Is it maybe "only" how the for loop / iteration is compiled?right now I

I am currently working on a custom bootloader for an STM32F407 microcontroller and facing issues when attempting to jump to the application. The application is located at the address 0x08080000. Here are the details: Problem Description When the bootloader tries to jump to the application, the stack pointer and reset handler are not set correctly, and the application does not start. Hi, the device have some kind of limitation on the usage of DMA?What I did:1 - Implemented DMA0 stream 0 and 1 to do the following:DMA0 stream 0 - Update the TMR2 ARR when TMR2overflow. Generate an Event on DMA transfer.DMA0 stream 1 - Sync with the Event generated, Update the TMR3 ARR.This worked fine.2 - Implemented DMA0 stream 2 and 3 to do the following:DMA0 stream 2 - Transfer data from ADC1 to Buffer.DMA0 stream 3 - Transfer data from ADC2 to Buffer.Both ADC are trigger by TMR3 overflow.This worked fine. 3 - I tried to implement the tests above together, and it does not work, TMR stopped to be updated.4 - What is stranger if that I tried to use DMA1 stream 0 and 1 for the ADC, but it also did not work. There is known or is some mistake I did? The workaround was to use the TMR2 overflow interrupt to update TMR2/TMR3, and let the DMA onl

In our application we are using part no STM32G0KCIU6 of LQFP32 / UFQFPN32 - GP package.in application we are using USB communication there by we also required 16Mhz HSE, but in this package Pin No 2 of MCU has additional options to configure as OSC_IN whether this pin can be configured for HSE requirement?

I have an STM32F103VET6 with multiple DMA Channels like UART2_RX, ADC, UART3_RX, UART3_TX, all at different priorities. The first one or two bytes of every DMA Channel becomes incorrect all of a sudden in runtime and corrects back only after power restart. Has anyone else also faced this issue? I have previously used multiple DMAs without any trouble in STM32F4 MCUs. Is it the change to Cortex-M3 that is causing trouble? I am thinking to implement a mutex (virtually, without RTOS) to restrict the DMA to one stream at a time. Is there any better solution?  

Hello, We are using STM32H573AII3Q in our application. One external IC is interfaced with this uC through SPI lines.  We are observing a tristate on MISO line. To investigate we isolated the uC and checked the MISO line. It is having a voltage level of around 0.4V. Ideally it should be pulled up as we have connected 46.4k pullup resistor on MISO line. SPI MISO signal image when external IC is isolated from uC. Just want to know how we can resolve this tri-stating issue?  Thanks Madhurani  

Hello I'm developing RTOS environment of dual-core in STM32H757.In OpenAMP communication mode, CM4 is the master and CM7 is the slave, and I used SRAM4 to create SHMEM.I could refer to the examples provided by STM32, and I read the application note AN5617. In the functions rpmsg_init_ept and OPENAMP_create_endpoint, if dest_addr and addr are equal to RPMSG_ADDR_ANY(0xFFFF FFFF), I know that the address is automatically assigned to the parameters. is it correct?just I try to above method, but the address is not automatically assigend to parameters, and the function OPENAMP_Wait_EndPointready fails. Any help is greatly appreciated! Friendly regards, Tau # OpenAMP communication mode : master CM4

I use the internal RTC with MCU P/N:STM32U575.The schematic has two power supplies,RTC uses the VBAT power supply, others use the main power supply.My problem is that the RTC can count time normally, but when the main power is powered off and VBAT is continuously powered, the RTC will be cleared and reloaded for me to set the time after the main power is restart.How to make the RTC still operate after the maim power is powered off?

Hi,I am trying to create a reliable communication in a noisy environment using RS-485 between 2 STM32 boards, one with STM32F302 that is receiving data from several sensors, performs some calculations and then send the data to a STM32H723 Board. On both MCU I have set the UART in RS-485 mode. The Rx, Tx, De are connected to a TXS0104E level shifter and then to ST485EBDR Transceiver. In the initialization code (for both boards) of the UART the DE pin is also initialized, however I was not able to find where the pin is set high or low to transmitting or receiving. Did I missed anything, or I have to manually set the pin state when transmitting or receiving? Thank you. 

Hello.STM32G431CBT6Is it possible to route the output from the comparator to the input of the Timer input? The reference manual says that this is possible, but there is no description. And in the comparator register there are no options for choosing where to send the output.Previously, I used stm32f072, and in the comparator settings there is an "OUTSEL"  bit field where you can select where the output will be connected.I need to measure the signal period (timer in "input capture" mode).
