I'm using an STM32H563 and the STM32CubMX for initialisation. I'm trying to use the USART in DMA mode and having trouble with the Tx DMA.I use:HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart10, (uint8_t *) uart10RxDMABuffer, UART10_RX_BUFFER_SIZE);for the receive and get characters into my buffer and an interrupt after IDLE. In the interrupt I start a timer (for a delay). I get the timer interrupt then attempt:HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart10, (uint8_t*)uart10TxDMABuffer, uart10TxSize);This completes with a HAL_OK. But I don't get any characters from the UART and I don't get a transfer complete interrupt.The DMA of the H5 (M33) is completely different to previous series. Are there any other steps I need to take that are particular to the H5 DMA controller?Edit:I've also noticed that if I comment the HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA I can receive multiple strings from the UART Rx and each time get an interrupt on the IDLE. Hello,I am using the STM32H563RGT6. I am using the OCTOSPI peripheral to connect a quad spi connection a flash chip. I can successfully read the status registers on the flash chip, send the write enable command, write an erase command to address 0x0, read status register 1 and wait for BUSY flag to clear, then send the write enable command again. I am using an STM32F407 to communicate with an LTC1760 dual battery charger via SMBus.If I restrict my queries to either the LTC1760 alone or a battery, the communication is flawless.However, the moment I switch from addressing LTC1760 to a battery or vice-versa, the latter does not respond at all.It would be great if someone could help me figure out the underlying cause of the issue.PFB the connection diagram set up.

Hello Forum,I have an issue performing continuous conversions with the ADC on my STM Nucleo board. I want to continuously convert once the ADC is initialized and started and do something with the data afterwards (what is irrelevant to the problem). However, for some reason, if I place the HAL_ADC_Start_IT function call outside the while loop the HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback function is only called once. I have configured DAC in nucleol496zg board using an internal voltage reference of scale around 2.048V , it is 12 bit DAC so step size would be around 0.5mv but when i write HAL_DAC_Start(&hdac1,DAC_CHANNEL_1); HAL_DAC_SetValue(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1,DAC_ALIGN_12B_R,0);In multimeter it shows around 24.7mv-25mv for all the count values up to 25mv instead of step size DAC. Only if I give greater DAC count value (which produce above 25mv) it gives the correct millivolts in multimeter.

After using cubemx, I tested the single channel round-robin acquisition and there was no problem.After changing to DMA acquisition, as long as VREFINT and VBAT exist at the same time, the data of the first channel is wrong. Posted on May 30, 2014 at 17:16Any ideas what would cause a STM32F4 Discovery board to suddenly invert the DAC output, such that 0 gives 3V and 4095 gives 0V? This does not seem to be a programming issue as the identical program worked fine prior (and on other boards). It also does not appear to be a single bad board, it has happened to me on two boards. The issue seems to unrecoverable, reloading a program, cycling power, etc do not fix it.I had been hooking and unhooking leads, so it is possible a stray voltage went somewhere bad, but I would still like to understand the mechanism. The boards work fine otherwise (including the ADCs).Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to set the following parameters for I2S in Device Configuration Tool (STM32CubeIDE v1.14.0): - Master Clock Output enable - audio frequency: 48kHz - Data and Frame Format: 16 bits I want to connect an external 12.288 MHz clock to the AUDIOCLK input, but I get the following message: "With this I2S Clock (12.288 MHz), the divider value (0) is too low to obtain the desired Audio Frequency (48.0 kHz). The I2S Clock must be higher than (43.008 MHz)."

Hi, I'm trying to use AMC1336 Delta-Sigma Modulator with STM32U5A9 MDF. I have tried using polling and interrupts for data acquisition and got expected results. But when I tried switching to GPDMA the data jumped around and is not usable. I took 100 samples and graphed them out. I’m new to the STM32L4 community and currently working on an assignment for my studies, using the STM32L475VGT6. My task involves configuring the DFSDM to acquire audio data.I followed the setup tutorial in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdDqVeIGhec , and everything seems to be working fine. However, my goal is to capture 8-bit audio samples at 8kHz and send them via USART1 to COM3.Currently, the code acquires 32-bit samples, as shown in the video. Could someone guide me on how to modify the code to handle 8-bit samples instead? I want to monitor my 4.2V battery and cant find any MCU which can convert such high voltage . It will be even better if it has differential ADC [can do 1.5-4.5].Previously tries STM32F303C8T6 but all the ADC pins are only 3.3V Tolerant. Its my first time posting so really don't know if i'm posting in the right page.

I maid  a custom board with ST32H745 mcu. The board is working fine but the ethernet part is not working. The Ethernet part is exactly the same  as the Nucleo H745ZI reference design. The code and Ethernet part working fine on Nucleo board. I checked all Ethernet part components  and found all are same as in the Nucleo schematic. I am using ST link V2 for custom board programming (SWDIO, SCLK & GND pins). I probed TXD0,TXD1,TX_EN,CRS_DV,MDC, MDIO pins on both Nucleo and custom board and found both are the same. I also checked PHY clock and Ref Clocks and they were showing 25 Mhz and 50Mhz accordingly. Both LEDs (green and yellow) on the Ethernet jack also working.I am using cube IDE and LWIP with FreeRTOS .What would be the problem behind this ?? I am totally stuck on this. I am Implementing RNDIS Over USB using the Stack provided by STM32 Team. The Data Received at the EP OUT Function is Correct for the First Few Bytes of Data, Post that the Data is Jumbled/Incorrect. Not Sure whats the Reasons though.I tried Verifying the Differences with Different lrndis Stack, i.e. Using Bluepill (STM32F103) and lrndis. Using F103 and LRNDIS, Everything worked perfectlyI modified the Endpoint Address and it's Configuration too, (Device Descriptors, RNDIS Configuration etc) of STM32 Stack to that off lrndis. Still Same issue.Thereby I tried to look at the lowest level possible, i.e. Sniffing the USB Ports via Wireshark using USBPcap.I found that upto certain Packets they remain the same

I have a STM32WL55JC part that spends a lot of time in shutdown mode. It's woken by an alarm on the internal RTC. However intermittently it fails to fully wake up.This is almost certainly a hardware fault - certain PCBs are more susceptible than others. The alarm is definitely triggering because there's a status LED on the PCB, and when it fails the LED illuminates dimly. If anyone has any ideas of where to start looking it would be greatly appreciated. This is my first project using an ST part, so there's quite a learning curve.

Hi I'm using the STM32F446RE with the latest FW Package - SMT32Cube_FW_F4 V1.28.1, and i have a MCP3221 connected to an I2C port.Its a strange ADC that returns a sample every 2 bytes when its setup to send data to the I2C master. There are no addresses like most I2C devices. Since it works in this way i can take advantage of this and I'd like to read it continuously in DMA mode, with no interruptions and so i tried DMA circular mode. The problem is that it runs 1 time trough the recv process and stops after the callback. For my current Project, I decided to go with the STM32H7B0VBT6 from the STM32H7B0VB family. However the 1.4MB SRAM of the MCU was too little for me, so I've chosen to go with an external SDRAM (IS42S16400J-7TLI [64 MBit | 8 MB). Now I wanted to get the pinout for the SDRAM from the STM32 (I use STM32CubeIDE), however under FMC, I can't find the SDRAM section (See attached Screenshot).
