Hello,I am currently working to get CAN transmission to work on a STM32F072B-DISCO. I am continuously getting a BIT_DOMINANT_ERROR in the LEC of the CAN_ESR when attempting to transmit. I am using a TCAN1044 (https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tcan1044v-q1.pdf) as the CAN transceiver with the following connections:TCAN PIN | Connection1 | PA122 | GND3 | 5V4 | PA115 | 3V6 | CANL7 | CANH8 | GNDThere is also a 120 ohm terminating resistor at both ends CAN Bus, and only one other device is connected, which is a PCAN-USB reader for viewing transmitted CAN messaged. I lost debug messages from my LoraWAN end device. I made some changes using MX on my project, and this way, I lost debug messages displayed on a serial wire monitor (for example, on Arduino serial monitor). I think it was the cause of this problem. No, I see that red and blue LEDs stopped blinking. Usually, red links when a concentrator doesn't accept a join, and blue blinks when sending messages).I checked the settings responsible for logging and debugging, and I see that they have the right values:Is there anybody who can explain how to revert my end device to its former state?

Am I overlooking something here?We're now using a cypress PSoC1 for capsense and an NXP M3 mcu for ethernet connectivity and we wanted to merge them into 1. I'm not that familiar yet with the STM32 product portofolio but the devtools seem to work very well.With kind regards

Hi,The RTC block was driven by LSI (internal RC osillator), we just found few boards failed to initialize the RTC block and the program was stuck there. What could be the possible reason? Is it due to the floating pin of Tamper?thanks,Qi

hello I today trying can communication loopback mode working but normal mode bit LEC register showing timing error.

We just found few boards failed UART communication. The debug process for this issue points to the LSI and RTC block inside the MCU STM32F401RET6. The RTC block was driven by LSI (internal RC oscillator), these boards failed to initialize the RTC block and the program was stuck there during the source code debugging. What could be the possible reason? Is it due to the floating pin of Tamper? Or something else?Could you pls help check  whether ST had some update on the MCU parameters in 2022? Because we didn’t found this issue in MCU with date code of 2021. Thank you!

Hello, I am trying to establish standard CAN communication between the sn65hvd230 IC and the stm32f4 discovery and stm32f103. While the loopback mode works fine, when it sends data to the normal mode, the output goes to 0 and then back to 1. I still haven't found a solution.

I'm using a STM32L432KC Nucleo board, and reading a voltage with the 12-bit ADC. On this board the ADC Vref is connected to the board 3.3V, which in this case actually measures 3.315 V.  With a 12-bit resolution, I would expect that 4095 ADC counts = 3.315 V and therefore (4095 / 3315) = 1.235 counts per millivolt.  In fact, I measure the following ADC outputs for the given input voltage in mV: mV, ADC 0, 0 53,0 54,1 64,10 72,20 80,30 100, 54 500, 549 1000, 1165 3000, 3635 3375, 4094 ( Any larger voltage also measures 4094, it does not look like 4095 is an available output code.) It looks to me like the ADC has nearly the expected linear slope in counts/mV except that about 53 mV is subtracted from the input voltage first, before the ADC conversion. Is this the expected result? Is there any way to measure smaller voltages than 54 mV on the ADC with this board, without using a separate

Hi,As per DS10685 Rev 7 (https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32l073v8.pdf), there are so much information missing, for example:1. Table 17 doesn't mention that the USB pins D+ and D- are bound to PA11 and PA12 ports, respectively, but Table 16 does.2. Table 22 doesn't mention ports PH9 and PH10, and of course, their alternate functions. These ports are mentioned in Table 16.Those are just an example of massive missing information... and it's Rev 7. I'm affraid :(

Hi,I am using a custom board to do some application (https://www.waveshare.com/openh743i-c-package-b.htm). On this application I should turn on LTDC (to use it with touchgfx) and I am also using the RTC.When I am only using RTC alone, the RTC clock is correct and I can see it on pin MCO1 via my oscilloscope a good shape.But when I turn on RTC and LTDC, the shape is wrong frequency (clock is slower 10seconds) is different then 32.768Khz and dutyCycle is different from time to time.Can I fix this issue via S/W?

I have two functions to calculate the phase via DFT. In both functions, real and imaginary parts are first calculated, and then the phase is determined using different methods.The first function employs the standard atan2f function from the math.h to calculate the phase. The execution time for this function is approximately 126 us.The second function utilizes the CORDIC phase function, which essentially performs the same task as atan2. Surprisingly, the execution time for this CORDIC-based approach is not much faster, taking around 121 microseconds.This result raises questions because, according to the reference manual, the CORDIC calculation should take approximately 10 clock cycles, equivalent to around 50 nanoseconds on my MCU. I am utilizing HAL_CORDIC_CalculateZO() to obtain the results.Is this expected and does anyone have an idea how to get the specified calculation time. I would be pleased with 10us?

In this document it's stated that STM32H5 devices implements the FPv5 floating-point extensions.From there, how do I know the proper flags to pass to gcc to enable the FPU? -mfpu=fpv5-sp-d16 -mfpu=fpv5-d16other ? 

I wrote an interrupt service function HRTIM1_TIMA_IRQHandler() for PID tuning at a frequency of 200kHZ. Is this frequency selection reasonable, after I enabled this IRQHandler, the main program in main.c no longer works, what is the reason?

Hi, I had configured the clock to LSI RC 37KHz using cubemx with AsynchPrediv is 124 and synchPredivdivider is 295 after the RTC initialisation i'm trying to read the time using HAL_RTC_GetTime() but i'm getting the values what i initialised but doesn't increment. can anyone suggest how to solve above issue.Thanks & Regards,Vijay Rakesh

Hello,   I created the STM32H735G-DK project with the board selector in STM32CubeIDE. The OSPI_HyperRAM_MemoryMapped project was created by the example selector. Its HyperRAM test codes were added to the STM32H735G-DK project as below. The reading sequence was repeated twice on the same address w/o increasing the memory pointer. However, the 2nd reading was always failing while the 1st reading was fine as below. Please help me to solve this issue. I'm working on Custom boot loader based on Openbootloader by ST, existing example is based on STM32G0/G4 series but I'm using STM32F417 and there are losts of differences in terms of internal flash memory architecture(G0 to F4 series) and HAL/LL library also,I made losts of changes in existing example to make it run on STM32F4, while using STM cube programmer showing read flash successful and write flash also, but there is no data on desire location, The issue is bad configuration of Options byte and write protection,So I want to know what's the process to write the data in flash?Thanks​​

Good morning everyone,I’m trying to get FDCAN working on a STM32G431 however with very limited success. I’m not able to get a valid output signal on the TX line (measured with an oscilloscope) however, if I put the FDCAN peripheral into External LoopBack Mode, then a valid message appears on the TX. Even though there are no other CAN devices connected to the CAN bus, I still expect a few (3?) valid TX messages to be registered on the oscilloscope before the buffer fills up and throws an error.In order to exclude any hardware issues on the PCB (first rev. of the PCB), I switch over to the NUCLEO-G431RB Evaluation board instead. Unfortunately, the exact same issue appeared, no valid data in Normal Mode but when in External LoopBack Mode, I do get valid TX.Right now I’m just trying to get valid TX data out on the NUCLEO in Normal Mode, so I’ve based my code on an example from the STMCubeIDE. I will use the STM32U575 with OCTOSPIM as Quad SPI (master) adapter.Q: The DQS signal is intended for DDR mode (I know).Could I use also DQS as input in SDR mode (when OCTOSPIM acts as SPI or QSPI master)?Idea:I want to compensate the "Round Trip Delay" on QSPI (or OCTOSPIM as SPI).Could I provide a SCLK' signal via DQS (delayed, with external DLY line) so that the READ cycle will use this signal in order to sample the response bits?Or is DQS only "working" in DDR mode (even I would 'enable' DQS also in SDR mode)?Quad-SPI in SDR mode should use DQS with external delay in order to sync D[3..0] during a READ transactions. Is it possible? (feedback SCLK with a delay line to DQS)
