I'm looking for the low power function of the STM32F103TB. I have some questions about this function:1. I read the code of the AN2629, there has no interrupt routine code. So when we use the RTC alarm and the PA0 (wake-up pin) to wake up the MCU, where the MCU recover from after the stop mode entering (WFE +NOP)? it starts to implement the RTC interrupt (or EXTI0) or RTC alarm (EXTI17)?  or just to continue to implement after the NOP? I checked the document, I guess it may not cause any interrupt actually, just to wake-up, then to continue to the last instruction (NOP). Is it right? But the corresponding bit is still available, so user should then to check the flag bit to identify which has happened? Is it right?2. When recover from the stop mode, all the clocks should be re-initialized (configured again). But all of the other registers of the peripheral don't because they are keeping the values. is it right?3. Hi, Currently, we are working with STM32L476JGY6TR MCU. We are facing HAL_I2C_ErrorCallback - 0x00000004 error randomly while communicating with MCU.  We are communicating with the MCU Frequently with particular time intervals. In this scenario, some of our communication to MCU fails and shows the above ErrorCallback in MCU, and The Slave I2C gets reset. May I know the reason for HAL_I2C_ErrorCallback occurs and NACK receives?How could I debug this issue? Configuration : We configured i2c-2 as a slave in MCU and communicated from the host with the 400kHZ frequency. We use a 4.7k ohm pull-up resistor with a 1.8V source. We use the HSI Internal oscillator.  Kindly hel

Hello everybody,I want to use the STM32F042G6U6 MCU with one button on PA6 pin if I press the button it should toggle between STOP mode and run. Is this possible at all?How can I do this? I was able to enter STOP mode or exit from it but I cant toggle it in the same interrupt.And how does exactly this routine works? Hello! I am using the STM32F446RE Nucleo Board and succeeded in sending a signal chain via DMA to the GPIO Bank B, i.e. the BSRR register.  The DMA trigger works very fine. However, one of the 8 signals is missing/not generated/skipped... This is where I need help. I cannot figure out, why there is only one signal missing, "rw_pulse2", while all the others are generated correctly. Hi,We have a custom firmware running in an STM32F427, and I'd like to find out what the highest frequency supported on a timer with an external clock source using ETR function.Based on AN4776, I can use a prescaler function (ETR) to read clock frequencies above the timer clock speed, due to resynchronization, I must respect a 1/3 order of the maximum APB speed. Given our APB of 90MHz, the maximum TIMClk is 30MHz.My issue is, can I prescaler x8 this source clock and utilize it with a 240MHz clock input using the ETR function? (Timer Clock = 240/8 = 30MHz)?Or perhaps there's something else I'm overlooking.

Hi all!I am making a PCB with STM32H723, and have chosen this MCU due to its greats specs and versatility. However I would like to add at least 4Mbit (0.5MB) of RAM, either as SDRAM, SRAM or PSRAM etc. using the FMC (Flexible memory controller). However I am lost in the process of choosing the best possible external RAM for this MCU.I want to achieve the highest memory transfer speed, but it needs to be compatible with the STM32H723. I see there are technologies like HyperBus and OctoSPI, but I assume parallell is the best. In the .ioc file, the FMC can be configured to run at 275 MHz, but I don't know if that is realistic to achieve reliably.I can see that in this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h28D4AaPSjg the achieved frequency is 95 MHz, but using a SDRAM which in theory have lower performance than SRAM or PSRAM. I m using FreeRTOS functions and discovered that the osDelay could only works on mini second, anyway to perform at micro second and nano second delay? If i create a micro second delay using timer TIM1 will that satisfy real-time prerequisite? Anyone can advise? 

Hi guys -I am designing a motor control board around an STM32G474. Main power (for driving the voltage regulators, motor drivers, and ultimately the STM itself) will be provided by a large LiPo. Backup power (VBAT, to keep the RTC on the STM, and its external 32.7680 kHz MEMS oscillator, going when the STM is disconnected from main power) will be from an ML1220 coin cell. I would like to shut down entirely the main power on the board for extended periods of time. I would like to use the RTC on the STM to enable/disable (using an RTC_OUT line) the main power MOSFET controller (a TI LM74700-Q1) on the board at scheduled times (or, when a restart button is pressed, or when a wakeup signal is received over the LPUART channel), and then to disable this main power MOSFET controller when the motor control board can again be turned off.For this to work, I think I have two main questions:When the STM is in VBAT mode, at wake-up time, is t

Hello,I need to detect input when it goes over REF/2 (1.65V). I do supply VREF+ pin with 3.3000V.My signal has offset of 1.2V, and it will go over 2V when I apply signal to it.Everything is working, but it has unexpected behavior. I can only use negative input as VREF, if I set it to anything else, I get constant 1.I tested my VREF+ input, and it is 3.3000V ( 0.5% REF chip). Also testes signal on PB0 pin, and it is 1.200 or >2.00VWith debugger I do see BRGEN and SCALEN bits enabled.  But it just does not act as it suppose to. What do I am missing. is Vrefint needs to be enabled? I was unable to find this information... Also I am using LL libs.

Hi Team, we are using STM32 for our project there is a need of repeated reading and saving of values, for this purpose currently we are using RTC Backup registers.RTC_BKP_DR0 0x00000000URTC_BKP_DR1 0x00000001URTC_BKP_DR2 0x00000002URTC_BKP_DR3 0x00000003URTC_BKP_DR4 0x00000004UEach register can store 32 bit values all of them occupied and we need to store additional 24 bit.Can you please help me to find similar registers to store this 24 bit data.NB: Other than flash.

Hello, I am trying to implement a Normal Mode CAN communication using the STM32F407 discovery board and sn65hvd230 transceiver. It works fine for Loopback mode but when I change to Normal mode I get a Bit Dominant error. I am setting the bit rate to 500kbits.Here is my code. Hello,Please, I am working on a Custom Project with STM32H7 platform and I am using a NAND Flash for Data Storage (W25N01GVZEIG). I can execute correctly all commands except :(32h) Quad Program Data Load . I can write using (02h) Program Data Load with SPI mode with no issues, but once I switch to Quad mode (32h) the data written is not correct, seems there is some bits corruption.{0x11,0x22,0x44,0x88} is written {0x91,0x22,0x04,0x48}. I suspected the pinout first but the Quad read is working fine. I saw a similar question QSPI of STM32L496A but didn't fix my issue.Could you support on this?Thanks,Ayoub

Hello, I am trying to program Can Bus protocol with two stm32 boards. I used MCP2551 and VP230 can transiciever but both of them doesnt work or my code doesnt work I dont know. I am programming normal mode. My purpose is when press the any button of boards the other board read the data of button interrupt and blink the led. This is for beginning. I'm developing a board with an STM32L452 and would like to find out if I can improve power consumption while it remains connected via USB (as a device). I've tried putting the device to sleep using the following code: while (1) { // ... do stuff HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode(PWR_MAINREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI); HAL_ResumeTick(); } My configuration for USB is CDC and has SOF, Low power, and Link power management enabled. I've tried changing these settings, but none of these seem to make a difference. The issue is the USB IRQ keeps the device from staying in sleep mode, so there's very little difference in power usage overall. I would like to keep the USB connection, otherwise the host pc software would have to poll and try reconnecting constantly. I know the host can tell the device to suspend, but is there a way the USB device can tell the host to pause

Hello,I'm trying to send a message from slave to master using spi (I'm using only one stm board) and so far nothing I tried has worked. AFAIK for the slave to send data to master, the master has to initiate communication first by sending clock signals, and dummy bytes. 1) To be able to send data from slave to master, is Full Duplex is a must (for purpose of Master to send dummy bytes while simultanously receiving bytes)? 2) I tried using HAL_SPI_TransmitRecieve() in Master size but I'm not sure what function should I use with the slave, and what is the order of function calls. I would appreciate your help, Thanks!

Hi, I am struggling to get SPI and I2C to work at the same time on my project I have tried multiple things (DMA, interrupts etc...) are there any example projects that already have this implemented? Hello everyone,  I'm exploring the feasibility of transitioning from 2x Teensy 4.0 boards to an STM32H755XI for a sensor-intensive application. The project involves interfacing with 16 VL53L4CX sensors and managing their data acquisition and processing. The Teensy boards have been efficient so far, but I'm considering the STM32H755XI for potential performance improvements and to consolidate the design. Also, this would implemented on a custom-designed PCB rather than off-the-shelf components.  I'm seeking guidance on whether the STM32H755XI is well-suited for handling multiple VL53L4CX sensors, particularly in terms of its I2C capabilities and ability to manage these sensors efficiently. If there are specific advantages or considerations to keep in mind when transitioning from the Teensy 4.0 to the STM32H755XI for this application, I would greatly appreciate any insights. The CAN communication between the main control board (SMT32F407VGT6) and the same server board (STM32F407VGT6) shows that the ambient temperature is below -10 degrees, the communication is abnormal, and the ambient temperature is above -10 degrees! Immediately returning to normal, may I ask what the reason is? Confirm that the CAN communication interface hardware chip meets the requirements!
