I'm working on implementing USB Host support for the STM32F407 without using the STM32 HAL. I've followed the datasheet and gotten as far as sending a GetDescriptor packet (though I haven't confirmed that on the logic analyzer yet), but I don't know if the peripheral has received a message back as the GRXSTSR register seems to be invalid.The value remains unchanged from initialization through to completing the port reset and sending the GetDescriptor packet, and is 0x1621E30E. Bits 21, 25, 26, and 28 are high in the reserved section, which doesn't match the reset value of 0x00000000.The channel number is 0b1110 = 14, which is larger than the 8 channels the peripheral has.The data PID is 0b11, which is MDATA, and the byte count is 230.The packet status is 0b0000, which is reserved.The GINTSTS register is 0x14008829 and HPRT is 0x21401, which indicates there isn't actually any data received as the RXFLVL bit is low, meaning I can't

hi i am having some difficoulty's where i cant find a solve for: problem 1 ADC1_channel12 feeds me a value back around 4030 while its voltage on the pin is 0.0Vproblem 2 ADC2_channel3 is always reading 0 i configured all ADC channels to place data in the memory using DMA.different channels different prioritys and all but no resoultcheked hardware but same resoulti am using SWD for debuggin and am running the microconroller for a few seconds. than add a breakpoin and than check the registers assigned to the ADC ADC1Values&ADC1Values# note i am not using the conversion complete callback becouse i dont really care about the moment when the data is read out honestley i am not very good at this and just started so i let the IOC configurationhandle all of the settings please review my code and settings i hope i forgot something simple but i am in to it for 3

Dear SIR,What is the max number of external inputs using interrupt at the same time?In my application, it uses 22 GPIO as external input as Fig.1.1. I use STM32CubeMx to set "PB1" to "GPIO_EXT1" then set "PC1" to "GPIO_EXT1", after setting "PC1", the "PB1" change to unassigned state? it seems not allowed to set PinX1 at the same time? (see Fig.0)I want to hook an interrupt for each external input, but it seems not workable after I see the document and codesee Fig.2, Fig.3 and Fig.42. The max external input using interrupt is 16, is my understanding correct?3. If it supports more than 16 external input pins, how to set it in STM32CubeMx?

Any Core Hardware Register available to user which is not used by HAL or the Processor itself which I can safely use without disturbing the rest of the MCU?I am using an STM32L431. To keep the System State in check I am using a Volatile uint32_t variable and doing bit manipulations and using it as a 32 Bit Register.I have to check or update this variable at MHz rate and I was wondering if I can use a "Free" Hardware register of the core to speed things up.I have to keep track of multiple bits, even in Interrupts. I know a faster processor is the best answer but I am currently stuck with this processor for the prototype and I am almost have full utilization of the Core and desperately need any Bit of Performance available.I initially thought of using only HAL but to get some more performance I made faster (unsafe) versions of functions and optimized everything I can as per my skills allow.I think that if I use a Hardware

Hello,I would like to program the STM32 to control the circuit SAA1064 by I2C, using the STM32cubeIDE and HAL functions (HAL_I2C_Mem_Write,HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit, HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady). then with the function "HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady" shows that : the I2C communication is OK,  but I can't send data to the SAA1064 to display the digits on 7segments.thank you for helping

Hi everyone,ı was trying to make adc to dac using DMA. Shortly the adc value is writed into DAC data register. So that the potentiometer is turned then the digital value is writed ADC register. The brightness of led is changed. However, ı get ADC value via DMA then ı writed into DAC register and nothing happened. I did the project without DMA and it worked as what ı want. How can ı do that using DMA. In my solutions are multi DMA, triger event. Also, the ADC channel to pin A0 and DAC pin to A4. Hi,We are referring to the bill of materials of the STM32F412G_DISCO board. We are looking up for QSPI flash IC (MICRON N25Q128A13EF840F) used in the development board for our new design and found that its lifecycle is obsolete on mouser india. Also the IC is non stocked by most of our suppliers hence availability is difficult. Ok here is the situationDid a board design, when plugged in i noticed 3.3v was not outputting correctly. Realized I put the wrong 3.3v regulator, maxes out at 100ma. Removed and put in a 3.3v regulator that goes up to 800ma which i thought would be fine for the STM32H745IIT6. Now when I plug it in i get 2v and its trying to pull over 1000ma which is where my meter maxes out. Obviously there could be many issues that could cause this but I want to start at the chip and just make sure I have it wired correctly for power and I didn't miss something on its power section. If you can give any thoughts on if any of the power pins are not supplied correctly would be super helpful as i'm very new to this specific chip. What MA should I expect with this chip? If i did anything wrong with this post just let me know! Thank you!  

Hey guys,I set the SWD up for a project inculding a PCB with an F411CEU6 and an VL43L8CX. To test the pcb, I wana get the distance printed to the SWD console. I set up the SWD and with the main.c file it works fine, but with the vl53l8cx.c the printf statements don´t get printed...Do you guys have an idea?Best regards,Julian

I have had a couple of Nucleo 144 test/demo boards for a couple of years and have had no issues with them. So I decided to try and create the simplest PCB from scratch. What is happening is the chip itself is resetting when powered with a repeated signal as measured on an oscilliscope. The devices is powered from a 3.6V LDO regulator that can provide 500mA. Before I try to program the device I am trying to get the supply to the chip stable. What I have done on connections all VDD and VSS connected with 100nF caps with the 4.7uF as specified. I have POR-ON, NRST and BOOT0 pulled high through 10K resistors. Now the USB (I am not using) VDD33USB I have connected to 3.6V which it says I can in the spec sheet and bypassed with a 100nF capacitor. I have also connected and bypassed the VDDA pin also. Am I missing something I need to do or does the empty chip reset itself this way until it is programmed?

Hi,I have had partial success implementing DMA with I2C as below but the only way I can receive the data "val" is by adding a HAL_Delay of 1uS and the "val" is shown as an incorrect value. I have a project that is using DMA channels to transfer ADC values to DTCM. The values seem to be getting to the memory correctly but I was confused by Figure 1 of the datasheet which shows the ADC/DMA/SRAM on the AHB but the DTCM on a bus that appears to be disconnected from the AHB -> https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0410-stm32f76xxx-and-stm32f77xxx-advanced-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf What is the path the data is taking from the ADC to the DTCM? Is there any timing penalty from the data taking this path?

Hello together,when inspecting the behaviour of the HRTimer regarding the compare output, I found that with Clk multiplier 32, there is a non-linearity in the compare timing (stepwidth) of about +150 ps (330 ps step instead of 180 ps between adjacent compare values). This seems directly to correlate with the depth of the delay line, as I can see this step equally distributed each 32 steps.Is this known or is there a way to avoid this behaviour and get a more linear behaviour?My test setup is:STM32G474, HRTim1Channel B: 1 MHz pulses, continiousChannel C: single shot, resettable, triggered by Chan B, variable compare value. Set on compare, reset on period.I checked the delay of the output C regarding to B. Basically I get quite good results with a standard deviation of appr. 30 ps but I wonder of this non-linear step. The step e.g. happens when changing the compare value from 183 to 184 (or 215 to 216).

Is it possible to burst transfer a block of data from STM32 internal Flash/SRAM to an external memory mapped peripheral device with an SRAM style interface i.e. Address, Data, CS and R/W using the FMC fed via DMA?

I'm using an STM32L010K4Tx in a device that is primarily a timer.I'm not sure I need them, but I wanted to install a High Speed External crystal (HSE) and a Low Speed External crystal (LSE). In the STM32CubeIDE, I have a STM32L010K4Tx set up, and from the Pinout & Configuration Tab, I can select System Core -> RCC. Under RCC Mode and Configuration, I select High Speed Clock (HSE) and for Low Speed Clock (LSE), I select "Crystal/Ceramic Resonator." The pinout diagram seems to show pin 2:RCC_OSC32_IN and pin 3: SCC_OSC32_OUT, which is where I believe that I should connect either side of the HSE crystal and its capacitors. There's

I have designed a set of boards for a client with one USB interface to the main controller.  We can bootload it by the usual methods, and bootload the CPUs on the other boards by pass-thru from the main controller.  I send coded messages to the main controller which properly toggles BOOT0 and nRESET on the downstream boards and then goes into pure passthru. So far, we have always toggled the BOOT0 pin to the main controller to signal when to exit pass-thru mode.  Always worked, no problem.We have a new version using an STM32H725.   I now find that it has a dedicated BOOT0 pin.   Prior CPUs always had the BOOT0 pin mapped to a GPIO pin, so that we could read it to exit pass-thru, but I can't do that now.I have dug around hoping to find something in a SYSCFG register to read the BOOT0 pin, but no luck.Am I totally shot here, or is there any trick to read a dedicated BOOT0 pin that isn't mapped to GPIO?   If

HelloI am using STM32U545RE (LQFP64 package) for my project as master controller. I have interfaced a slave ADC to the uC using SPI1 port. From datasheet, SPI1_SCK  can be either :PA1, PA5 or PB3.While configuring PA1 as SPI1_SCK it was observed that the CLK did not get generated on the particular pin.So it was changed to PB3 & PA5. With both these pins as SCK I was able to read the data(clock was generated) but the data is read only once after board reset.But the same works with STM32L496RE uC, may I know what is the cause of this problem here. On referring to the STM32U545xx Errata sheet, we got to know that the device that I use also has Z marking.Is there a workaround available if the above problem is because of the untrimmed uC samples?  RegardsRoshan Anand

Do you think that it is common for the function bellow (arraySize = 32) to take approximately 125us to execute? The for loop is the main problem as it takes almost 120us to execute.I am using STM32G474ret6u MCU, with clock at 170Mhz?
