HelloI'm using Abracon 25MHz( ABM11W) crystal for HSE clock on STM32H750.CL1 and CL2 are set to 12pF after some calculations. And it works on the prototype.Question is regarding the resistor do reduce/control driving level to this crystal. I have been looking into ST application note "AN2867 Pierce oscillator design" and chapter 3.5.3 Calculating the external resistor.According to DS for the crystal the maximum driving level is 10uW typ and max 100uW.If I calculate the Rext I get 531 ohms to start. ( Rext=1/(2*PI()*25MHz*12pF)Then the app note recommends a potentiometer and turn from 531 ( I guess ) "until an acceptable output and crystal drive level are obtained". Questions.1) How do I define a good crystal drive level when I measure with oscilloscope ?2) What is the drive level from STM32H750 to drive a crystal in uW? it this number is lower than 100uW the resistor can be taken away.3) In th

I have enabled USB Device FS and successfully use it as a virtual com port.I now need to determine the best way to send messages from master to slave over this port, and how I will handle potentially corrupted data, timeouts, and how enabling CRC will help.My message format includes a start byte '12', then a payload size byte, then a command byte, followed by data payload bytes and 2 CRC-16 checksum bytes.What happens if the master sends a payload of 2 bytes, but the slave receives corrupted data and interprets the payload size as 64 bytes?  I have the master 'retrying' if it does not receive a response back from the slave after 100ms, but should the slave also have a timeout to reset?  I can see the slave expecting 64 bytes in my case, potentially never parsing a complete valid message, or the slave and master becoming endlessly 'out of sync' .  I'm seeing the timeouts on the master and slaves potentially triggering in a way that would also cause

Dear ST,I try to use SPI1 in full-duplex slave mode with hardware NSS and interrupts.Interrupts work fine, the only problem is that data is all 0After connecting the logic analyzer I noticed that the CS and SCK signals are ok but the MOSI and MISO are low. I generate the SPI data using MCP2210 breakout board, it works fine if I connect only the logic analyzer to the MCP2210 all signals are fine. when adding the nucleo in the circuit MISO and MOSI are pulled low!!! I use CubeMX for configurationpins are:PA5 - SPI1_SCKPA6 - SPI1_MISOPA7 - SPI1_MOSIPA4 - SPI1_NSSHas anyone ever seen anything similar.. where to look for the issue ?Thank you

i am using IMU ICM-42688-P sensor communicating with stm32 GOB1CET6N board using spi protocol. but, i am not able to read WHO_AM_I Value for more than 2MHz frequency. i have tried all settings but nothing is working. datasheet of sensor says SPI works on upto 24 MHz frequency.i have given my main.c file in attachments. 

I'm using a Nucleo-H563ZI in non-secure mode.When I access the FLASHSIZE_BASE address:#define FLASHSIZE_BASE (0x08FFF80CUL) /*!< Flash size data register base address */I get a hard fault (16 or 32 bit access).In the debugger the memory dump at address 0x08FFF80C only shows question marks.Is there anything special to access the flash size data register for the H5 family? 

Hi to all!I have the following question: why do the relays in the circuit start switching when I connect the STM32F1 microcontroller to the computer through the programmer?And similar happens when I initialize RCC. As if all the contacts are being checked and the relays are starting to switch.What could be the problem?I will be grateful for the answer!

Greetings,I'm attempting to make use of the tamper backup registers.I am enabling the RTC and have using LSI as the clock source.ROP is not enabled, I am not using the TAMP input pins, and i am debugging via SWD.As it is at the moment, writing a value using LL_RTC_BKP_SetRegister() then immediately reading back the value using LL_RTC_BKP_GetRegister() always returns a value of 0.I've read through the reference manual. There does not appear to be mentioned any other peripherals/clocks/flags that need to be enabled before using the backup regs. Is that correct?Thanks in advance! 

I am using STM32G0c8t6 microcontroller to make a BLDC motor controller. I am connecting the Rx and Tx of UART to a VCU and they are sharing the same battery. Apart from these, there is no other connection between them. And sometimes, for some unknown reason the microcontroller is getting shorted when UART is connected. It is not happening every time, so I am unable to monitor the voltages, etc at the exact moment. On one of the damaged microcontroller, the Tx pin of microcontroller was shorted to ground and Vcc. Rx pin as intact. What could be the potential causes or how can I identify the root cause? how can I protect microcontroller in this case?This is how they are connected.

Hi Team i am facing some issue related to flashing code. previously i flashed the STM32Cube_FW_WL Lora wan example code into my stm32wl5cc controller PCB using J-link debugger. after successfully flashed the code i am trying to flash another code into my controller but i am facing issue like Debug access port can't be initialized or target DLL is been cancelled. i noticed that their a function in the source cod like disable debug port in low power modes. because of that function i can't able to access debug ports.i tried to mass erase the source code but for that also i need to connect debug ports.please give any solution regarding this issue.

Using STM32G030F6 and STM32CubeMX, I am trying to do a sequence of single channel conversions on each edge of a PWM signal (generated by an internal timer).  PWM is setup fine and working on TIM3 channel 1.   TIM3 TRGO is set to OC1REF.  ADC is set up to start conversion on Timer 3 Trigger Out (both edges).  DMA is setup up for ADC.  As soon as I enable the timer, I get one ADC conversion complete callback with 500 valid samples, but that is all.Any suggestions on how to make it so that the conversion sequence will automatically re-start the DMA on each timer trigger? EDIT:  I suspect this code actually does one sample each PWM edge then interrupts after 500 edges (due to continuous mode not set).  What I actually want is to do 500 samples on each edge and interrupt after all 500 samples are complete.EDIT 2: I also know that calling HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t

HeyI work with NUCLEO-H723ZG and I try to work with 3.3V External power supply.I try to connect the board according to the datasheet:and I saw few problems:1. My code is not working. I proggram simple code of blinking. when I work with 5V (external/usb) I can see the blinking but when I work with External 3.3V I can't see nothing. I also try code with toggle some gpio (not led) and measure with oscilloscope. I get the same resault, when the supply is 5V I saw the GPIO toggle and when I use External 3.3V I don't see nothing.2. When I use External 3.3V the LED5 is turn-on. I don't understand why because we can see in the datasheet

I am writting unit tests for storing data in Flash. First test pass.Second test checks page erasing. After erasing first 8 bytes of given page are not cleared. However if I comment line 50 test is passing. Why is this happening ?

Hi, I'm designing a low power tilt and shake detection sensor module using the STM32 blue pill board. I'm trying my best to attain the datasheet values of 2-5µA. I have done the following:1) Set all GPIO pins to Analog 2) Disabled all peripherals manually：3) Enabling PWR_CLK decreased current consumption by a little4) Break PWR LED and PC13 LED5) All serial wires disconnected 

I'm working on two custom boards using STM32H753 and DP83848 PHY. I have setup TCP communication in this setup with LwIP and RTOS and has been running in properly for the last 1.5 years. Out of the blue, in one of the boards, the TCP connection failed and on detailed analysis, I found that the Ethernet HAL initialization fails with a timeout error. It appears that the register reset issued by SET_BIT(heth->Instance->DMAMR, ETH_DMAMR_SWR); is failing. The reference manual suggests that this can occur if any of the clocks are not stable during initialization. But all the other peripherals used in the board(CAN, SPI, I2C and GPIOs) are working fine. I have also verified that TX_CLK and RX_CLK of the MII interface is 25MHz as expected. I still needs to check the status of the MDIO_CLK to the PHY. I have replaced the DP83848 in the board and also the 25MHz oscillator connected to the PHY. Both these changes did not fix the issue.

Every positive cycle on this channel requires an interrupt,When the first channel is in the positive cycle, which is between 0 and 1000 msec, I want to interrupt the second channel. Depending on the intended ARR value, I want to interrupt CH2. Hello people, i want to create 4 different PWM signals that has total period of 100 microseconds and working with %25 duty cycle. My timers are working with 50 MHz Speed but it is not necessary to do so. I need them to be shifted 25 microseconds apart from eachother. What i mean by this is actually; PWM1 starts-> 25 microseconds later PWM1 Pulse goes LOW and PWM2 goes HIGH -> 25 microseconds later PWM2 goes LOW and PWM3 goes HIGH and so on. Is there anyway to do this with STM32F411RE/407VG mcu's? I have both eva-boards for those mcu's. I know it will be slight differences between those signals because it is not a FPGA board but i am willing to see what i can achieve with those 2 controllers. Thank you all!

Hello everyone,I'm writing to raise awareness of a potential problem with quartz resonators that could affect clock designs.In your AN2867, you provide a formula for calculating the load capacitances of quartz oscillators.The datasheet for the STM32L431 states that 10 pF can be used as an approximate estimate of the total capacitance of the contacts and board. Does this mean that the quartz must have a nominal load capacitance greater than 10 pF?If the answer is yes, then why is the quartz MC306-G-06Q-32.768 with a CL=6 pF parameter, which is additionally loaded with capacitances of 6.8 pF, used for power consumption measurements

When I2C master transaction (both Rx and Tx) is started while SCL is pulled to 0 externally, it goes into BUSY mode (I2C_ISR=0x8001) and remains there indefinitely, without setting any interrupt-generating flag, even after the external SCL->0 is removed.This is extremely simple to reproduce, well, just short SCL to ground and write any START-containing "command" to I2C_CR2; and then remove the short, while observing I2C_ISR. It's enough to do it in debugger with stopped processor, the result is obvious enough.I expected, that either1. I2C throws a BERR (I would prefer this, but BERR's description says its scope is limited to a very particular bus error involving only STOP and START - and the BERR-related erratum dismisses its real-world usability entirely), or,2. upon removal of SCL->0 I2C proceeds with the transaction as normally.Documentation says, it's 2.:
