Hi,   I have a firmware runing on STM32F405RGT6 whith is reloacted at 0x800C000 and is called by a bootloader. The problem is if I enable UART DMA, the program will be interrupted by non stopping DMA interrupt immediately. However, there is no stream data in the UART port.  The same code work well if it run without a bootloader, ie start 0x8000000.   This is weird , it seems the UART DMA HAL driver is not relocation compatible. Could anyone know me why or provide some possible cause ? Thanks.  Martin 

Hi all!uC: STM32L433VCTCubeMX, CubeIDE, CubeProgrammerI've configured my RTC to set an alarm every minute. When an alarm occurs, the next alarm gets set and so on.About once to twice a day, the rtc alarm is skipped, so there's a continous error, because no future alarms are set.My function to calculate the next alarm is correct (rtc_get_next_time()) and the alarm was set to the correct time, regarding to the rtc handle (RTC_HandleTypeDef hrtc;) Just the alarm interrupt doesn't get triggered.It is not happening at the same time of the day, it's pretty random. I'm running the board on 3.3v, and as per documentation: +3V3 power supply Using the +3V3 (CN4 pin 14) directly as power input, can be interesting, for instance, in case the 3.3 V is provided by a shield board. In this case the ST-LINK is not powered, thus programming and debugging features are not available. When the board is powered by +3V3 (CN4 pin 14), the solder bridge SB14 and SB9 (NRST) must be off Solder bridges SB14 and SB9 are open. ST-Link should not be powered. Runs perfectly but the power consumption when in deepSleep is over 2mA. BUT, when I plug the micro USB into the computer (effectively powering up ST-Link) the power consumption drops to less than 20uA while in sleep mode. I reviewed the schematics of this board and cannot see what interactions could possibly be going on between the processor and the ST-Link circuit to cause this? Hello Experts, I designed my custom board with reference to AN5419 application note (Getting started with STM32H723/733, STM32H725/735 and STM32H730 Value Line hardware development). but it doesn't work.When i apply to power to the board and connect it to ST-Link utility, Program is displayed "can not connect to target". I'm a newbie about circuit design. so i referenced the application notes but I am not sure if it's designed properly.I simply want to use GPIO port and communications.Please let me know what i can check. Sincerely,SH.

Had a look at the newest 'F437/439 datasheet (wonder why 'F427/'F429 was not updated with the same things, e.g. ETH_MII_RXD2 missing in the AF table for PH6):I don't think it was supposed to look like this.JW

I want to execute a program by copying it from flash to RAM on power-up. How can I achieve this?STM32CubeMX's PCC tool as shown in the diagram:  

If you put an MCU in sleep mode with WFI, such as the STM32L452, you are supposed to suspend the SysTick and resume it after. Usually this is done in the main thread context. However, when you have an interrupt, I believe the next instruction will be in the IRQ handlers. Would the only way to ensure the SysTick be running within any ISR be to call HAL_ResumeTick within each interrupt handler? Seems like there should be a better way.

Hi, I'm programming an STM32F030C8T6 MCU. When I attempt to upload my code, it gives me an error: "Could not halt device (19)". I noticed that this only happens when ADC is enabled from CubeMX. When I disable it, everything works fine. The code doesn't even use it. It is only when I have enabled ADC in the .ioc file in my project directory in STM32CubeIDE. I need ADC for my project. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?Thanks.

Hello,I am working with a custom board communicating via USB-2-USART IC (FT234XD-R). Upon power up, the board operates as expected. I can communicate with the device . After some time--usually 60sec or so, but not perfectly periodic-- the device will stop responding. Using a logic analyzer, it shows the FT234 is still sending data to the chip, but the chip is not responding.The graph below shows a power up, communications start, MCU stops responding and reset button restores COMS indefinitely. I have left the board running for 24hrs and do not see the same issue after reset.Using the hardware reset button on the board, I can reset

Hi All, I managed to be able to bootload the STM32H723 device using the STM32 Flash Loader (STBootLib) but do not like how I have to pull BOOT0 high and also reset the device right before I program the device and then when the boatloading is done reset the device again. Is there a way to control the BOOT0 pin and reset the device through the serial RX/TX lines of the USART? All I have available are RX/TX lines. I do not have control signals like RTS, DTR, etc available. Do you have any clever ideas to control BOOT0 and RESET through the serial link?Thanks,Eric Norton

Hello,I wonder if someone has knowledge about any difference in how variables are initialized and handled when launching an application from CubeIde vs starting up the MCU.My case: I use a STM32H7 and the application runs regularly when I launch it from CubeIde, no matter whether it is normal or debug mode. I can even reset the MCU, it restarts regularly.However, after I power cycle it, the application gets stuck somewhere and don't know how to debug that because obviously connection to debugger is lost. Resetting doesn't help. I suspect a memory leakage or incorrect use of uninitialized variable.Any suggestion? Thanks!

Hello, I have a set of extended CAN ID's I need to pas the bxCAN filter. I looked at some examples where one ID is passed the filter, but could not figure out how to allow a set of ID's. If my understanding is correct the mask is used to determine which bits of the ID are important. The information is valuable, so the flash programming must be robust to unexpected shut downs including ones caused by an external watchdog (that may reset the MCU unexpectedly at any point in time). In the reference manual RM0351 chapter 3.3.2 it is written that when ECCD error is detected an NMI is generated by the flash peripheral. What is the proper way to handle such interrupt when ECCD error was detected during reading of a faulty double-word?This problem occurs when the MCU is being reset while the flash peripheral is in the middle of programming a double-word (so the ECC has not been written yet therefore it's incompatible with the double-word that was being written).There is no reference of handling such a problem on ST's HAL code or in the re

Hi all, The STM32L412xx and RM0394 are quite clear about current use of the micro when in standby mode with LSI-RTC.One thing the docs are not so clear about is the effect of having combined VBATT and VDD pins on the low pin-count packages. With these packages is the stated low (~700nA) standby current draw still possible? So far ive been unable to drop the current draw under 5uA. This is my first foray into using the low power modes, is there anything else i should be looking for? Thanks in advance.

Hello,I'm having issues with software behaving inconsistently and freezing when I add certain lines, try to access certain variables, etc.  I suspect maybe it has something to do with the restricted flash regions in the MCU.  Is there any way around this?  Can I "democratize" the whole flash and eliminate all of these restrictions somehow?Here are my ROM/RAM settings in my project in Keil, if it is helpful for answering my question: Thanks to anyone who can help make my project compile and run according to my actual code!-Brian

Hello,in the Reference Manual of STM32H745/755 and STM32H747/757 (RM0399) on page 831:When I write more than two 32 bit words to the CRC data register, how can I ensure the crc unit has enough time for the calculation (the 4 AHB clock cycles) before I write the next word? The CRC unit has no "BSY" or "RDY" bits. Do I have to estimate/calculate the time I have to wait between two writes? Or is there some kind of blocking mechanism that prevents a write to the data register before the unit is ready to process the next word? If yes, what exactly is blocked: code execution in general, because the write is stalled?Thanks for any information.F

Hello all,i am facing a problem while wokring with adc on stm32f412rgt6. i am facing problem of adc accuracy i am using 5 analog channel (ADC1_AN1, ADC1_AN10, ADC1_AN11, ADC_AN12, ADC_AN13) in discontinous mode.when i am connecting analog input pin to ground, digital outout varies from 10-25 and linearity with input voltage change is also not good.while trying multiple this and that to solve this problem i found when i use sysTick as timebase source then average digital output varies from 1-4 and when any other timer as in my case it is TIM4 then average digital output varies from 10-25.here i am taking average of 200 adc samples per second.i have to use systick for FREERTOS tick so i have to any other timer as timebase source.i have to C files for your reference.Thank you.  

I'm using STM32H573IIK6TR and I download its IBIS simulation model from st.com [stm32h562_563_573_ufbga201.ibs]There are a lot of pin model, but i cannot understand what is the correlaction between the datasheet and ibis model. For example: I'm using pin H14 as SDCLK in high speed mode. In IBIS model pins have the following models: low speed (io8_ft_spi_ls_3v3), medium speed (io8_ft_spi_ms_3v3), fast speed (io8_ft_spi_fs_3v3) and high speed (io8_ft_spi_hs_3v3). In datasheet there are 4 mode: low, medium, high and very high. So, I think that "high mode" in datasheet correspond to "fast speed" in IBIS model, but results don't correspond at all. 

Hello,I'm trying to set up a micro sd on a nucleo-u575ZI through the sddmc1 with a port of FatFs.I am using a PmodMicroSD all wired up for 4 bits and the card detect on a GPIO.I am testing 3 sd card 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.I have confirmed that all 3 are working in 4 bits mode though SDMMC on a STM32L4R9I Discovery with FatFs. My current implementation on the U575 works only in 1 bit mode. All 3 cards are working and ExFat is enabled on FatFs and I can read and write files no problems.When I change the SDMMC to 4 bits configuration on the U575 only the 16GB sd card works. The other cards gives me a FR_NO_FILESYSTEM when trying to mount.I believe it comes from this line in ff.cif (fmt >= 2) return FR_NO_FILESYSTEM; /* No FAT volume is found */I'm a bit loss and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might go wrong. Hello, I am working with a STM32H743 with RTOS and LWIP, using LAN8742 as PHY. I have developed a custom board with this setup and it has been working very well.Now, after almost an year, the new production lot does not work anymore: when the firmware starts, the 2 leds connected to the RJ45 plug blink simultaneously. The producer assured me that he used the same components, only the PCB has been produced in a different lot, same master.I tried to handle the nRST pin by software, delaying its assertion as descripted in the LAN8742 datasheet but it's no use. With the "old" boards that pin was left high for the whole time, no need of hardware reset via that pin. Is there a logic table that describes what the actual LED meaning is? I think they are showing some kind of error state but can't figure out which.Big thanks in advance!   

HelloWe have Custom Board Build Around STM32F4 Micro Controller in one of the Micro Controller Boot-loader Version is 0x91 Available to do Flashing and All but in Other Board Boot-loader Version is 0xFF and Not Available to do Flash, Anybody Know About this And what Exactly Issue is there So kindly Share your Points on this. Thank You Aman 

I want to play audio on STM32F4 Discovery board. Audio is stored in SD card which connected by SDIO. On discovery board, I see below connections.I2S3_SCK -- PC10 -- (SCLK) CS43L22I2S3_SD -- PC12  -- (SDIN) CS43L22but PC10 & PC12 are also connected to SDIO_D2 and SDIO_CK.  SDIO has no alternate pins. Any suggestion on how to move I2S3_SCK and I2S3_SD to PB3 & PB5 alternate pins on discovery board.
