Hi,I have 2GB emmc on SDMMC1 bus.I wish to have first 1GB (0~1GB) as application code area and the rest 1GB(1GB~1GB) as FAT file system that access by user as USB MSC. Even more, the first 1GB i wish to have 2 partitions(like A-B bank) for fail safe firmware update mechanism.So is that possible to do that?if not,how to use flash on xspi1 to have fail safe firmware update? like if update fail, roll back to old firmware.. 

I'm using a Nucleo-F446RE board and have successfully flashed my application code to Sector 5 of the internal flash memory. The code runs correctly right after flashing, but it does not run after a reset or power cycle. It seems the MCU still boots from the default start address (Sector 0), and doesn't automatically jump to Sector 5. :question_mark:My main questions are: How can I make the STM32F446RE boot from Sector 5 after every reset? Is it necessary to place a custom bootloader at Sector 0 that manually jumps to the application code at Sector 5? Is there any other way? Any guidance would be very helpful. Thanks!

I am working on FDCAN communication using an STM32G0B1CCT6 microcontroller. I am trying to perform a simple Tx/Rx loopback test (and later communication with external tools like Vehicle Spy), but I am facing the following problem: FDCAN is not transmitting or receiving any message. I have configured the peripheral in Normal mode with the following settings: Clock: 64 MHz Bitrate: 1 Mbps Prescaler: 16, TimeSeg1: 13, TimeSeg2: 2, SJW: 1 Frame Format: Classic CAN Auto-Retransmission: Enabled I also added a filter (Filter 0) to accept all standard IDs into RX FIFO 0, but still no data is received.

I have purchased STM32F103c8t6 microcontrollers from three different vendors, but they are behaving differently.I am working on CAN, and on the microcontrollers from one vendor, it is working properly. But on the microcontrollers from other two vendors it is having issues with receiving CAN data. I am using same firmware on all microcontrollers and the CAN bus hardware is also same. by just replacing the microcontroller from different vendors I am having issues.So, what could be the issue which is causing the receiving issues with microcontroller. I tried lowering the baud rate from 500,000 to 40,000 as I thought that it is having issues with high frequency. but it still is not working. The problem is only for receiving, it is able to transmit properly. I also set a breakpoint inside the receive callback function, but the program is not even going there. The microcontroller which is working properly

Hello,  I am currently in the midst of developing a super simple system to create a varying load. It's basically to resistors in series with a transistor in parallel of the second resistor. The transistor is driven by a PWM signal to bypass the second resistor and modify the load.I've been trying the circuit with a function generator and it's working perfectly.I now need to switch the PWM generation to a timer of a STM32. I have a nucleog474RE.I used one of the example code available via cubeIDE (TIM_PWMOutput) and changed the frequency to match what i need (3.2kHz) but whenever I try and use my circuit with it, the signal generated by the nucleo is nowhere near clean and smooth, there is a huge jitter that basically renders my circuit useless (I need very high precision and stability). Would any one have any idea why this is happening and what to do to correct it ? Thanks for the answers ! 

Hello all, i got a firmware configuration problem, basically im using USB in FS modem and when i plug in the usb to  the pc what happens is that sometimes it can be recognized and i see a network disk called ''boot'' but most of times it cant be recognized, so i gotta power up again the whole circuit until it can be seen, i thought it would be a frequency problem, but i already saw that configuration is set to 48MHz , so its correct, i added also a delay before initialization of the usb but it still doesnt work, what else i can try? can someone give me some tips? i already read on many forums but still didnt find out

I have the following function to verify that a full flash sector is erased but the code never seems to exit this function and I believe it gets stuck at the point where I dereference the address value. Hello,I am trying to implement Modbus protocol in an efficient way. Untill now I have implemented everhting with UART interuot based Transmission and recption. Now I would like to implement with DMA to offload controller from much neavy lifting. For your refernce, I somhow managed with the below code t transfer the TX_Array from 0x00 to 0x09. I verified this in oscilloscope. But this aimed frame is appearing only once then only 0x00 is seen infinitely. even DE pin is not driven to low. Which indicateds that ISR is not being called and transfer is not stopped. Or somewhere it make the controoller to hang. The new revision of errata sheet for STM32H7 mentions a new error relative to SPI: It is particularly vague.What "fast software" and "slow SPI" frequency means exactly ? What is the minimum ration between both frequencies to avoid the issue ?What "add a delay" means ? How many clock cycles ?With this description it is impossible to evaluate if a software may have this issue neither to implement a workaround. 

I'm trying to use the LCD screen in STM32N6570DK, but it has an error like this`Break at address "0x18003a1a" with no debug information available, or outside of program code.`. Hi, I'm trying to implement read ADC1 value triggered with TIM6 then write it via DMA(GPDMA1 CH0). I created CubeMx project and generate code accordingly (Using LL driver). But I can't enabled DMA channel. Is there any code example about it? 

I am trying to calibrate 512Hz RTC  to 1ppm or <1ppm. Desired Frequency = 512HzAverage Frequency Obtained is = 512.0073HzWhat should be the value of CALP and CALM ??? (I used the CALP = 0 and CALM = 15, but still the ppm that I obtained is ~14) Could you please help me with what should be take care of too obtain a value closer to 1ppm. I used both oscilloscope and 53131a universal counter to measure the RTC calib frequency out.   

Hi,   I want to generate a bipolar square wave with a pulse width of 100us per phase using the DAC in STM32F446RET6.      But when I measured the DAC output (PA4), I found that the DAC output was not an ideal square wave, but a trapezoidal shape with a long rise time. However, according to the STM32F446RET6 manual, the DAC conversion time should be only a few microseconds. I used the DMA function and triggered the DAC output via Timer 6, but there was no improvement. How can I make the DAC output as perfect as possible?   Best, Junzhe

Hello everyone,I’m working on an STM32F7 project where I’m trying to establish USB communication between my STM32F746 Discovery board and a PC. I am really new at this really first time. I have configured the board for USB_OTG_FS in STM32CubeMX, and I’m trying to use it as a Virtual COM Port (VCP). However, when I connect the board to the PC using the USB_FS port, it’s not being recognized as a COM port or any device at all in the Device Manager.The only time I see a COM port is when I connect the ST-Link USB, which shows up as a Virtual COM Port. I have already:Enabled the USB_DEVICE in STM32CubeMX and selected the CDC class.Generated the code and set up the USB_DEVICE middleware.Tried with different USB cables to rule out a cable issue.Checked the board configuration, and the USB pins are correctly assigned.Additionally, I configured the board to flash an LED to confirm it’s functioning, which works fine. Hello all,I’m working with an STM32 microcontroller (specifically the STM32H743), and I have a question regarding the use of an external TCXO as the HSE clock source.As per the datasheet, when using an external clock source (such as a TCXO), the HSE must be configured in bypass mode, and the input clock is expected to meet the digital I/O thresholds (e.g., 0.7 × VDD for logic high). However, many high-quality TCXOs have typical output swings of only 0.8–1 Vp-p (clipped sine wave), which do not meet CMOS thresholds when VDD is 3.3 V.Therefore, directly driving OSC_IN with such a TCXO in bypass mode is not viable per the datasheet.That said, I made an observation I’d like to confirm with you:While using a crystal in crystal resonator mode (not bypass), I probed the OSC_IN pin using a low-capacitance active probe and measured a signal of approximately 1 Vp-p. Hello.. i m programming F446 using registers, and i found from F446 reference manual to configure PA1 as both input and pull-down mode. i don't understand , can anyone advise how could1.
