Hello,  Began learning STM32 MCUs with my Nucleo-H753ZI board and I think I found a bug. The IO configurator on CubeIDE thinks user LED2 is on PB7 and is blue coloured. I'll paste the code it generates below. But in fact, the user manual UM2407 says user LED2 is on PE1 and is yellow coloured, which is indeed correct. Generated code from CubeIDE for Nucleo-H753ZI:#define LED2_PIN GPIO_PIN_7 #define LED2_GPIO_PORT GPIOB Appears to be a bug that should be fixed in the BSP.

It seems that after I updated MacOS to Tahoe 26.2 the IDE does not show selected text if over multiples lines correctly. This is a nightmare to work with, as it does not show selected text and can make you delete (overwrite) lines while editing.Anyone else? Is there a setting to fix it?

After updating the STM32CubeG4 Firmware Package from version 1.6.1 to 1.6.2, I discovered a bug that causes incorrect deadtime prescaler settings for HRTIM when using the LL driver and CubeMX. After a recent update I am unable to run my code from vscode on my Windows 11 machine. The compilation succeed, but when I click on Run -> Start Debugging nothing happens. The System Bundle Manager shows that I have installed all the latest versions, but the bundle manager of the projects shows only a few of those bundles (see attached). How can I install the bundles in the project section?Note that I have already tried the usual things: remove the build, .vscode and .settings folders, rebooting the pc, upgrading the stlink firmware.I tested the same code on another linux pc and there it works as expected. Hi everyone, I am facing an issue with an STM32U5 regarding the entry into STOP3 mode after a production programming cycle using the STM32CubeProgrammer CLI. I use a .cmd script to flash the device. In the script, I use the -c port=swd dLPM mode=UR flags to ensure the first connection during the multi-step programming of several binaries. At the end of the script, I perform a software reset via -c port=swd dLPM -rst. After the script finishes and I unplug the ST-Link, the microcontroller fails to enter STOP3 mode (current consumption remains high, in the mA range). I noticed that if I manually connect with the STM32CubeProgrammer GUI without the "Debug in Low Power Mode" (dLPM) option enabled, perform a software reset, and then disconnect the JTAG/SWD, the device enters STOP3 correctly. It seems that the dLPM flag used during the CLI session is "sticky": it sets the DBG_STOP and DBG_STANDBY bits in the DBGMCU_CR register, and these bits persist even after the programmer is physically d

Hi Team,I’m prototyping on a Nucleo-F303RE using STM32CubeIDE. In the clock configuration, I set the system clock to 36 MHz from HSI (HSI → PLL with the /2 divider), as shown in the clock tree screenshot. However, my firmware misbehaved. After debugging, I found that SystemClock_Config() function isn’t applying the HSI/2 divider when feeding the PLL. Instead of: RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSI;CubeIDE generates: RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSI_DIV2; This effectively makes the system clock 72 MHz instead of the configured 36 MHz.Did I misconfigure something in the clock setup, or is this a CubeIDE code-generation bug when using HSI with the PLL /2 divider?

After upgrading STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code to version 3.8.0, the code formatting function is no longer available. Currently, while writing the code and entering ";", the formatting feature is not functioning. When saving the code, the code will not be automatically formatted; both "Format on Save" and "Format On Type" in the settings have been checked.

I was trying to implement emulated EEPROM and I think I set the EEPROM page area right into the critical option bytes area. Notably, this didn't happen until I added the actual eeprom_emul.c and flash_interface.c files into the cmake configuration, compiled and flashed the program once. This obviously makes a call to "HAL_FLASH_UNLOCK()" so I think it's pretty messed up. Either way, after this, I could not flash the chip beyond 0x80000050, additionally, it would instantly lock up on boot. I believe my Option Bytes were also grenaded.  PCROP_RDP turned itself on, ESE turned itself on and the rest I am unsure of changes. Either way, I managed to turn off RCROP_RDP by setting RDP to 1 and then to 0. After this, flashing the chip, fills every line with the same repeating nonsense bytes. So I think write protection is disabled, but it's still uploading nonsesen. Notably, trying to hit "full chip erase" does not work, and just hangs. Now ESE remains checked. When trying to uncheck

Hi all,I'm having an issue with a pre-existing project. It was initially built a few months ago on version 1.16 of the IDE, and confirmed to be working. I have since updated to stm32cube ide version 2.1, and am having an issue with this project not being able to launch.  The projects builds with zero warnings or errors as expected, but on trying to flash my board I get "Unable to launch. the selection cannot be launched, and there are no recent launches".    One change I made (that I'm not sure if it is relevant) is updating the GCC flags to inlcude "-Wno-implicit-function-declaration", as it was having trouble finding a C wrapped extern method.  I have seen a previous thread that resolved this issue by using the example importer (Solved: Unable to launch, The selection cannot be launced ... - STMicroelectronics Community), but I want to avoid that to prevent any unintended changed to the current project structure. When I open Help -> Manage Embedded Software Packages in STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0, I'm unable to click the arrows to expand the package versions under each STM32 family. If I click the "+" icon in the top right corner, everything expands, but then I'm unable to check any of the boxes next to the packages to select them.  FYI, I do not have any of these problems in the standalone STM32CubeMX 6.4.0: I'm running this on macOS Monterey 12.2.1 running on Apple Silicon (arm64).

Hi all.  I have been witnessing a rapidly shrinking amount of free space on my C drive.  On a regular drive clean up of non-essential data, I can generally remove 1 Gigabyte or so of temporary files.  This however, does not account for the rapid depletion of available free space. On further investigation, I looked into the 'Other' (Manage other large folders) section of the 'System -> Storage' properties of my Windows 11 C drive.  I was a little gob-smacked to discover that - between them - the ST related folders: stm32cubeide, stm32cubemx, STM32Cube and ST contain over 100Gb of data.Obviously allowing for software packs and the various STM applications in daily use, I found a considerable amount of data was held in several .jxbrowser folders across more than one location.  For example, the .jxbrowser-7.38.2 folder inside the stm32cubemx directory - alone - is at a whopping 17.5Gb.  I don't see any way of cleaning them or whether or not it is safe

I am running CubeMX in a WIndows on Arm VM on a MacMini, which is connected to a KVM. When I switch the KVM to another machine and come back, all of the windows have changed size (not unexpected). They all revert to their original sizes and positions, but the window for CubeMX does not redraw/scale it's content.For example, I see this before I switch away:And this when I switch back (note the double menu):Dragging the edge of the window to cause a (very small) change in size restores the expected view.CubeIDE and TouchGFX do not show this behaviour.

With the attached ioc, CubeMx 6.17.0 freezes when I click on "Generate Code" on macos 14.8.3 . Hi, I'm trying to access SD cards with an STM32C091 MCU. It seems like FatFS is not supported by default in CubeMX, therefore I looked into FileX. I don't have a need for running an RTOS, so I would like to run FileX in standalone mode. However, the FileX parameters in CubeMX don't contain FX_STANDALONE_ENABLE (see attached). IntroWhen I'm using the "STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code" extension, I often want to edit C source files outside of my workspace, which are listed in my CMakeLists.txt and get compiled into the firmware just like any other C file.  Unfortunately, with the default setup, the language server (clangd) cannot find some of the headers I include, and it doesn't know the right compilation options, so intelligent features like inlay hints (red squiqqlies) and the "Go to definition" command do not work properly.  The ST extension attempts to communicate this kind of information to the language server by putting a ".clangd" file at the root of my workspace folder which has a line in it like "CompilationDatabase: build_release".  But clangd won't consider that file when looking at source files outside of the workspace.MotivationI have multiple STM32 projects that share some common libraries, so my folder structure looks like:lib/lib1/lib1.clib/lib1/lib1.hlib/lib2/lib2.clib

I started learning embedded systems recently, and have been using the Nucleo-F303RE board with the STM32CubeIDE toolchain. Recently, I compiled a program and started stepping through it in the debugger. Everything worked fine as always. I started to modify a single line of code, but decided not to make any changes as I wanted to run the debugger again first. Despite being the exact same program, it took much longer to reach the breakpoint in main from the startup ... maybe 10 seconds instead of 1.5 seconds. Single stepping through a line or a single instruction worked, but was clearly must slower than before. Stepping over a function that writes maybe 10 registers took about 10 seconds. When I let the program run freely, it was no longer reaching a breakpoint in my SysTick handler, even though it was before. How can I get the debugger to work?I tried cleaning the project and rebuilding, but that didn't work. I tried another simple program to make sure the board or ST_Link wasn't someho
