This post can be removed as I found out what was wrong...But otherwise when you want to do DDR tuning some experienced quirks:- RTFM twice!- Make sure the target board is in Engineering Boot Mode!!- Notices that latest CubeMX and STM32CubeProgrammer (2.17) does not find the path to the .._CLI even after setting it in CubeMX. Using an older version (2.16) did work.- Besides the wiki, it is necessary to check the community too just to make sure you have the latest info. In the wiki there was mention of the U-Boot SPL to use. Then moment later the community post revealed that it was depreciated. So I got a copy of the DDRFW package from GitHub.- The DDRFW package could generate a problem when building the software. I traced it back to a python script used as post build command. Installing `python-is-python3` solved that problem. I managed to get the firmware running using STM32CubeIDE and debug mode. hi,I'm currently designing a custom board using the STM32MP157F MPU, and I'm referencing the schematic of the STM32MP157F-DK2 evaluation board. I'm stuck on identifying a specific component with a 0603 footprint. Is it a 0-ohm resistor? Additionally, what does 'ULO' mean at the end of the footprint? Lastly, what is the component labeled LNK2? 

According to the wiki here: ROM_code_overview, the pins to boot from a serial NOR flash chip can be modified by the OTP Register. I understand that I must set the bit 0 of the word 3 to 1, but how do I define which function I move to another pin? which pins can i use?For example, could I move the QUADSPI_CLK signal from pin PF10 to PA7? Hi,tI am trying to understand maximum PTP clock frequency. On page 5122 of the STM32MP2 the maximal frequency defined as 100MHz, but on page 1037 (RCC section) the maximal clock frequency of clk_eth1_ptp_ref is 200MHz. Which one is correct? Can I have 200MHz PTP timer clock? Another question, I am looking for a way to supply external clock for PTP timer, is there some way to do so? Thanks!Alexey.

Good morning,I am trying to send a buffer consisting of 896 elements to a Wi-Fi Chip from STM32MP131. I am trying to use the HAL Driver DMA (which uses interrupt to transfer blocks using IDMA).Although the code has several checks and balances. I am not encountering any failure when that function is processed. I monitored with the logic analyzer, and I am seeing transmission. But I suspect that the transmission did not go through well. I tried to read the set of values with and without writing and the values are same Indicating that the receiver has not responded.If I use polling instead of IDMA. the receive FIFO is empty when trying to receive. I cannot send through polling and receive through interrupt as that would be an interrupt issue.I tried to send the set of elements byte by byte using CMD52. In that case the tests are failing.Kindly suggest and help me here. If possible, point me to a location where I have access to some HAL_SDIO drivers that can be used for STM32MP131.Thanks a

I created a qt quick app onqt  version 6.7.3 for the stm32mp157f-disco. I was able to test using qt creator and boot 2 qt on the target board and it worked just fine. Now, I'm in process of building the linux image for the target. Since I don't fully understand how to use yocto, and it seems there's no support from st side for qt on stm32mp15, I decided to go the other path, using the boot 2 qt. I created a custom recipe with my qt app and was able to bitbake this recipe. I'm following the starter and distribution package for the stm32mp157f-dk2.A few weeks ago I was able to flash my target board with the starter package and can confirm it initialized the st gui and so on.I also added the usb gadget in my vm as stated on another post.Now, I'm trying to flash the st-image from the distribution package but its not able to reconnect.\I'm using an iphone quick charge that outputs 5v 3A and it worked for the starter package. I tried with another power supply just to confirm that's not the issue and I got the error in st-link. I'm unable to set the clock frequency above 650Mhz, but according to the datasheet, the mpu i selected should be able to reach 1000mhz. What am I doing wrong?

Hello!If I run the openAMP example I can see the two new devices appear in the linux /dev folder: ttyRPMSG0 and ttyRPMSG1, so that's fine!I would like to give these entries another name, like instead ofttyRPMSG0 --> KEYSttyRPMSG1 --> FRAMQuestion 1: Can I "force" Linux somehow to use specific custom names that I supply via the M4 while creating an endpoint or does Linux name them always in its own way ("like ttyRPMSGxyz")?I tried to use the parameter "name" of the function "rpmsg_create_ept()" but another value than the default "rpms-tty" leads to the strange effect, that the channel is created with the new name (checked with "dmesg") but in the /dev folder the device does not appear at all anymore. It only appears, if the default name "rpmsg-tty" is kept.Question 2: Why does the device no longer appear in the /dev folder, if I give parameter "name" another value than "rpmsg-tty"? 

Hi ,I am trying flash the  Starter Package of Krikstone and Dunfell branch, but unsuccessful, but the starter package of  Mickledore branch successfully flash on sd-card.Note:  Mainly Error on Bootfs partition , and got the segmentation fault.         SD Card -- 16 GB

Hello, We are evaluating the X-STM32MP-GNSS1 eval board on STM32MP-157F-DK2.The X-STM32MP-GNSS1 has Teseo-LIV3F GPS receiver on it, which does not support NAVIC.Since we want to test receiving signals from NAVIC specifically, can we replace the Teseo-Liv3F chip on X-STM32MP-GNSS1 with Teseo-Liv4F chip?  (The pinouts of Liv-3F and Liv4F differ only for reserved pins ( Pin 13 (Ant off), Pin 18(Prg) and Pin 7 (Vcc_IO)

EDIT: Sorry I accidentally put this in the wrong topic.Hi,I am trying to bring up a board using a STM32MP135 and 256MB RAM (using one of these). I have followed the Wiki instructions to modify for 256MB RAM, and the project previously worked fine. Then I left it for maybe six months and come back to find the memory mapping has changed and now I am getting TZC errors right at "Starting Kernel ...".I'm using Buildroot with TF-A v2.8-stm32mp-r2, Optee-OS 3.19.0-stm32mp-r2, U-Boot v2022.10-stm32mp-r2, and Linux v6.1-stm32mp-r2. Full Buildroot tree.I have tried modifying CFG_TZDRAM_START in Optee, DDR_NS_, and, DDR_SEC_ properties in TF-A and I can generate even more memory errors, but this is as far as I can get. Can anybody point me in the right direction, or suggest some things to try? What happens right at "Starting Kernel"? As far as I know, U-Boot must be trying to put the Linux kernel in to protected memory but I cannot figure out why or where that is specified?Thanks for a

Being relatively new to Yocto, I struggle a bit with some issues.I intend to use ADC channels in my (user space) applications, but the channel names seem confusing.Listing /sys/bus/iio on a live system, I can see two ADC devices, device_0 and device_1 - which I presume to correspond to ADC1 and ADC2.The device 0 contains channels voltage_18_raw and voltage_19_raw, and device 1 contains channels voltage_13_input, voltage_14_raw, voltage_18_raw and voltage_19_raw.In general, do those numbers <nn> refer to  ADC1_INP<nn> / ADC2_INP<nn> in the datasheet ?The problem here is, ADC1_INP18 and ADC2_INP18 refer to pin PA4, and ADC1_INP19 and ADC2_INP19 refer to PA5. Which would not be a problem as such , but according to the board schematics, both pins are connected to USB_PWR_CC1 and USB_PWR_CC2, respectively.OTOH, there are 6 pins of the Arduino connector CN17 marked as analog inputs in the schematics of the DK, but the channel numbers liste

Hi,I am unable to see the can0/can1 interface on my brand new STM32MP2 Eval board after re-flashing the Starter-Package(FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp257f-ev1-ca35tdcid-ostl-m33-examples-optee.tsv).Previously I was able to see both the interfaces(with ls /sys/class/net) with the preloaded micro-sdcard OS that came with the board and was able to send/receive CAN data to external devices.But after flashing the firmware that came with starter-package: stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mpu-v24.06.26, CAN interface stopped working. I tried modprobe the can driver and also rebuilding/flashing the kernel/DTS using the Developer package but nothing helps.Unfortunately I didn't backup the micro-sd contents before reflashing. I assumed the sdcard was loaded with starter-package contents when the board arrived.Any help would be highly appreciated.Thanks,Satish
