STM32 MPUs

I am trying to achieve hard real-time under 100us on the STM32MP157f-eval, specifically, on the Cortex A7 dual core.Note: I specifically target the Cortex A7 cores because the M4 is already taken for other tasks which requires much smaller latency.What I did so far is:Build the Yocto openst-linuxAdd Preempt-RT patchAdded several software: irqbalance, tuna, hiccups... to monitor and tune the system.Isolate one coreTested high-priority process, also IRQ. Hello     We are using STM32CUBE ide (Ver 1.9.0) for debugging of stm32mp157a cortex-m4 core by using j-link programmer. In this, while entered into debug every time we need to select stm32mp157a cortex-m4 in j-link target settings. So, any option is available for store this j-link configuration. Hello Everyone, I am working on a custom board based on STM32MP157F-DK2.  Our custom board have two external ADC (AD74413R) connected to the main processor. I have changed the device tree added proper driver for the external ADC. While reading the files from iio folder, i am getting "Connection timeout error". Hello, I would like to integrate ethernet2 in my bare-metal project. I am aware that not only eth2 pins have to be properly configured, but also a 10th pin of MCP IO expander. However, the eth2 seems to be disabled after all. I am doing the same configuration steps for eth1 and it simply works. The question is, what am I missing? Could it be PMIC? Best,J. Schneider

Hello.I am on porting STM32MP135F-DK Discovery Board source to STM32MP133D based customizing board.With bitbake build, the firmwares work well with STM32MP135F-DK.But with our developing board, it stuck on BL2 boot with panic. The main difference is like below.1. PMIC is connected to i2c5 not i2c42. DDR ram size is changed from 512MB to 256MB3. There is no display controller. (LCD).4. Hi, Does myir MYD-YF135 development board support Bare Metal Project?

Hi there, I'm building an ST-Linux distribution with Yocto (ST Distribution package) on a custom board (based on STM32MP153), and, now that I've tested it, I need to optimize the final image.My distribution should be completely headless (so no HMI and no library for graphics) and should be as small as possible.I based my custom image on the st-image-core image, and, for example, I noticed that in the final distribution, there's a complete filesystem dedicated to ST demos, which at this stage is completely unuseful. Is there a way to remove that filesystem? Is there any common way to remove any graphics library (and maybe also the weston user!!)? Thanks a lot!

I am using STM32CubeIDE v1.4.2 and experiencing issues with editing IOC files. I am using Ubuntu 18.04.05 as recommended by ST. Often when when I am using the integrated Cube MX editor I experience 100% CPU load and the IDE locks up. I have tried increasing the Java heap size to 4MB. 3 years ago I did a project using the separate Cube MX program and had no issues with it but since ST integrated it into the IDE it seems pretty much unusable. Does anyone have any ideas how to make this software operable?

Hi, during Embedded World I got MP135F devkit. I'm not into Yocto, but guy from ST told me, that MP1 can be used with RTOS but with halved max frequency. I have experiance with ThreadX on H735.Can you hint me how to start? Are there any tutorials? I couldn't find any when googling, only some YT videos about Linux.

I am adding the STPMIC1 on our custom board.While configuring device tree, when we are using scmi, how should device tree configuration look like? Should we still need to add i2c4 node? Or just adding scmi_regu entry will be enough?Regards,S 

Dear all,on a custom board based on STM32MP157D I successfully managed to configure an LCD display that works perfectly using "modetest -s" and "psplash-drm". But I cannot run the examples in the st-example-image-qt because I always get the same error: # /usr/share/examples/opengl/hellowindow/hellowindowQEGLPlatformContext: Failed to create context: 3005and nothing is shown on the display. Here is the my /usr/share/qt5/cursor.json:{ "device": "/dev/dri/card0", "hwcursor": false, "pbuffers": false, "outputs": [ { "name": "DPI-1", "mode": "640x480", "touchDevice": "/dev/input/event0" } ]} Attached you can find also some verbose logs that could help troubleshooting:- modetest.txt: output of the command "modetest -Mstm"- verbose-hellowindow.txt: output of the command "hellowindow" after setting verbose QPA logs- dmesg.txt: dmesg output running "psplash-drm" and "hellowindow" Do you have any hint?Thank you!  

I am attempting to implement a second ethernet interface on STM32MP157F-DK2 by using the Arduino Ethernet Shield, which is based on the Wiznet W5500 chip. The implementation aims to use SPI assigned to A7 core to communicate with the shield, which will then convert the SPI messages to be transferred over Ethernet. I have been unsuccessful in configuring this thus far and would like any help possible. What I have tried so far:- Modification of the kernel was done using the following page: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Distribution_Package 1. Modified the distribution package using menuconfig to include W5500 support such that CONFIG_WIZNET_5100=y and CONFIG_WIZNET_5100_SPI=y. It is my intention to use linux/drivers/net/ethernet/wiznet/w5100-spi.c in order to achieve my goal of SPI->Ethernet. Specific Problems:- I am not sure how to configure SPI4 in the device tree for this application.
