STM32 MPUs Embedded software and solutions

I have a STM32MP157f-dk2 board, the USB OTG port is configured by default to appear as network ethernet adapter when plugged into the PC. I would like to configure the USB OTG port to appear as a mass storage device when plugged into the PC. I am new to kernel and device tree and I wasn't able to find any specific instructions on how to do this. Would anyone be able to provide the steps to do this? Thank you.

Hello.I'm currently trying to download the X-LINUX-AI package for MPU ecosystem v5.0.0.I tried on MP135F-DK & MP157F-DK2, but neither showed a valid installation and both were stuck when executing "apt-get update".For both boards, I used high-quality ethernet cables and checked the connections were okey by executing "ping www.baidu.com", which is the most well-known search engine in China. I'm new to yocto, I'm trying to add the 'pwquality' pam module to the image for my stm32mp1 but I'm struggling with it, initially I have added this line to the local.conf file:DISTRO_FEATURES:append = " pam"which added pam and some modules but the module that i want which is 'pwquality' was not part of the installed modules, any idea how to add it?  

Hello Dear friends From Last couple of days I struck in issue while doing bitbake for stm32mp1 mpu dk2 board.When i do $ bibake st-image-core  (Enter)I got error's which posted with snap shots To resolve the issue i did changes  to set max value sudo sysctl -w fs.inotify.max_user_watches=65536but still i am not able  to bitbake  Please help in this regards

Hello everyone,we have a custom board with STM32MP157F. The board is equipped with SD and eMMC. We do not have USB on endproduct. Our plan flashing eMMC is as follows: 1. create yocto image for eMMC 2. create SD image 3. generate SD raw image with the script "create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh" 4. dd the sd raw image onto SD card 5. boot from SD After this point, there will be a custom script/program, which will flash the eMMC.Currently all information requires the usage of STM32CubeProgrammer, which will be in our production and post-production service-technicians not feasible. The plan for flashing eMMC is:1. activate both boot partitions on eMMC2. dd TF/A onto these partitions3. dd generated raw eMMC image containing the partitions and fill the partitions with images (rootfs, optee...) Is this supported at all?Are there any offsets to take care for dd boot partitions?Which parameters should be used to activate the boot partitions?Is there any o

Dear community,I'm currently having a problem setting up an OPCUA client. Using the open62541 package, I was able to connect to an OPCUA server created in Node-Red. I was able to both read and write to the server's addresses. The connection was made synchronously (ua_client_connect).However, when I used another computer, the connection to the Node-Red server is made asynchronously (the ua_client_connect function doesn't work, but the ua_client_connect_async function does). Hello,I'd like to setup a DMA transfer to feed a SPI Display with 8192 bytes per DMA cycle. To offload the MP1 I want to do this with the help of the M4 coprocessor. For my tests I am using the CubeIDE and a custom board. As a basis for learning I tried the example "SPI_FullDuplex_ComDMA_Master". The example (FW_MP1_V1.6.0) itself waits for a keypress and then starts exactly one DMA transfer, I can see the clock pulses on the scope.Since I need a peridoc refresh of the display, I tried as an experiment to wrap a simple loop together with a delay around the DMA-Send section but for some reason the DMA does not repeat, it gets stuck in ahspi->State = HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY_TX_RXstate and the error handler is called.  while(1) { if(HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&hspi4, (uint8_t*)aTxBuffer, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, BUFFERSIZE) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } HAL_Delay(50); } Why is the "DMA-in-a-loop" not working?I can increase the time to HAL_Delay(1000) but that makes n

I have changed the device tree added proper driver for the external ADC. While reading the files from iio folder, i am getting "Connection timeout error". Dear all,on a custom board based on STM32MP157D I successfully managed to configure an LCD display that works perfectly using "modetest -s" and "psplash-drm". I wrote u-boot video driver for my board. Everything is fine but I cant find the place where STMLinux disables the DSI power loading the kernel. Has anyone succeeded in keeping the u-boot splash screen on during the boot?

As Mickledore is no longer supported (by yocto) when can we expect an updated yocto release from ST for the stm32mp1 series?

I want to make my rootfs writable read only for STM32mp135f processor using https://github.com/marcusfolkesson/meta-readonly-rootfs-overlay/tree/mickledore this layer. Although I am adding this layer into my build process successfully but my rootfs is not becoming overlay type rootfs(means if edit some file in it then changes should not exist after reset). I have used this layer for Renesas processor where this layer incorporate into init script and works properly.Kindly give some solution !

I have deleted fip image for my board and have no idea how to rebuild them bitbake -c clean <image>does not help

Hello STM community,I've been encountering some difficulties with ADC acquisition on my STM32MP157D-DK1 board. I've attempted to perform an acquisition of a potentiometer value using the ADC, but unfortunately, I haven't been successful.I've tried two approaches:Starting with an STM32 project with pre-set pins (Discovery kit with STM32MP157D MPU).Starting with an STM32 project without pre-configured pins (STM32MP157DAC1).In both scenarios, I've failed to obtain a correct analog readings. Despite trying various configurations, I haven't had any luck. Here's what's happening:Upon connecting the signal connector to the correct pin on the board, I consistently observe the same value (the maximum) for any voltage value, except when the potentiometer reaches the end of travel (0 voltage), at which point the value begins to fluctuate. Hello, I was wondering by using X-AI package. Will I be able to use the XGboost model converted to ONXX format in STM32 MP157 A7 core.  Or it only supports Neural Network models? I was browsing through the forum and found that ONXX runtime recipe is required in order to achieve this. How can I create a writable readonly rootfs using meta-readonly-rootfs-overlay layer? I am able to add this layer in yocto build for stm32mp135f-dk but its not working like overlay readonly. Is this possible to create a writable readonly rootfs? I know one method by that my rootfs is becoming total readonly but this is not what I want. Kindly help.
