STM32 MPUs Software development tools

The Nucleo F446RE pops up with a media directory as soon as I plug the USB into the ST-LinkThe STM32MP157A-DK1 does not do that. And when I try to program it it says NO ST-LINK Detected. I have tried the Boot switches in every position but I understand Boot 0 Off, and Boot 2 On should let me program the M4 over the ST-Link. Help.

Hi!My question is: how can I create a stm32mp1 project with STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0 from scratch?I've browsed through the wiki pages, and I only came across examples where they import ready projects.If I create a new project by choosing for example the stm32mp157c-dk2 card as target, the project is created without any problems.I can modify and build the Cortex-M4 subproject without any problems.I can also modify the .ioc file and regenerate the code.I am able to build GTK and Qt userspace example programs in the Cortex-A7 subproject (I built the st-example-image-qtwayland image and the SDK).So it all works. What I can't do:In CubeMX I select which IP belongs to which context. CubeMX generates the new device trees. I believe HSE is 24 MHz, DIVM3 is /2 (12 MHz) DIVN3 is X34 (408 MHz) DIVP3 is /2 (204 MHz) But the screen says it is 208.87793.   I thought I knew how the PLL worked. And it is not like this.   I have a screen shot.

 am getting things like Multiple Problems have occurred. Compacting Resource Model. Refreshing Workspace, Workbench Autosave Job. An internal error occurred while showing an internal error. It says look at the .log file. I have not found where that is on my Linux computer. I am running workspace 1.5.1 it looks like the latest is 1.8. Should I just wipe out the STMCubeIDE and start over? I think a java update for the IDE yesterday killed this. I remember seeing it say something about running out of mermory. My whole system is using 5.6 GB out of the 32 GB installed.

Hi   When generating for CubeIDE firmware executes fine in both production and engineering mode. But for IAR/EWARM only engineering mode works. And, yes, I am aware of production mode not supported out of the box. I'm creating a project using STM32CubeIDE for the STM32MP1. I've followed the steps outlined in AN5630. I notice in the root project, under CA7\DeviceTree, that the directories for kernel, tf-a and u-boot are created. I'm planning on creating either a bare metal project or an RTOS based project, not a Linux based project. What caused the generation of these directories and how do I get rid of them, assuming I need to? ThanksLee Thalblum

Hi,We are using stm32mp157a-dk1 target.I have an issue i.e,when i use uboot source code dts file in u boot source code its works fine.when i replace original dts with stm32 cubemx generated dts it didn't works.Can i use cube mx generated dts in place of original dts in u boot.Thanks in advance

I am trying to Debug m4 in production mode. M4 is not halted.I am getting an error "Failed to insert breakpoint".I can successfully debug in Engineering mode. but, I need to Debug in Production mode.Can you explain how to solve this issue?

I've build all part (linux, tf-a, u-boot) in stm32cubeide, acording to my device tree configured in cube.I would like to ask if there is short way to create sd-card image from cube gui? Hey , In the OTG block diagram (attached below ) pin PA11 and PA12 can be configured as OTG_FS but using CubeMx we can't set the functionality of these pins.

My problem is, that on the one hand, the SPI3 configuration is lost after I close CubeMX. The assignment is lost to the M4 core (changed from A7 to M4 and after reopening, its again at A7. The changes have been saved and tried on different machines). If the assignment of the DMA streams for the peripherals has been done, after reopening CubeMx and *ioc file, the DMA streams differ or are completely lost.   So, what I am doing wrong here? Is there maybe another problem with the GPIO or whatever, which can lead to this unexpected behaviour? Or is this a known issue?   Thank you for the help.   Best regards, Jan-Otto

Hi there!   I just purchased an STM32MP157D-DK1 discovery board, and noticed that in STM32CubeIDE there are no definition files for this model, only a subset of the other MP1 discovery boards (but curiously not all of them).   Is this product unsupported by ST or can I obtain board definition files from elsewhere?   Thanks.

i followed the setup procedure described in the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEzfqKt3exE.i checked the path that is displayed in the error message and it does exist. the file the debug session is trying to write to is the name of the executable and it does exist.any help in understanding what this error means would be appreciated.thanks,vince

Hello, i´d like to change the clock of the M4 and some of the corresponding periphals. To do that i changed the clocks in CubeMx (Stm32CubeIde integrated version). I tried to create and deploy the .dtb as showed in https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_manage_OpenSTLinux_projects_in_STM32CubeIDE but this didn´t change my clock speed at all. So i think i this .dtb doesn´t change the clocks. Can i change the clock tree with the STM32CubeIDE and CubeMx? If yes is there a manual for it ?   Thank you in advance.

1. Select STM32MP151A2. Select an GPIOx and set to GIPIO_EXTx3.Select again GPIO under Pinout View, right click -> Pin Reserved -> Cortex-M44. Goto NVIC: EXTI lineX interrupt Enable Check.5. Select any of the peripheral devices, enable Cortex-A7 or Cortex-M4, and disable it.6. Goto NVIC: The enabled EXTI lineX is automatically changed to disable.And Pin Reserved for the corresponding pin is automatically changed from Cortex-M4 to Free.It is very inconvenient that the set EXTI is all initialized due to the above phenomenon.Is the way I proceeded wrong? Or maybe it's a STM32CubeIDE(1.6.0) bug. Please check.

Hi ST Teams!We've made a custom board with sdcard and mmc, all these device can be viewed from uboot/linux userspace. We are mainly using starter kit (v1.2) with modified tfa/uboot.For mmc programming, using Cube Programmer CLI(v2.5) we have only uart option available.I've got few questions about emmc:**What is the maximum baudrate we can have on UART boot in order to program emmc (921600)?
