STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

I have an STM32F407G discovery development kit. I activate CANBUS while doing pin configuration via CubeMX. Then in project manager > advanced settings > driver selector tab, I can select both LL library and HAL library in all options such as GPIO, DMA, USART, ADC. But when I want to select LL library for CANBUS, I see that only HAL library is available. Why is there no LL support for CANBUS in CubeMX? Is there any way to add it? I would appreciate if you can help me.

Hello,I've just bought two boards NUCLEO-C031C6 and I'm using Stm32CubeIDE to program the board.I would like to know if it's possible to connect an SD card with that board using SPI.I see that FatFS is no more available in Stm32CubeIDE, but there is Filex that should be the same, but there is no SD Interface checkbox, why?Any help will be appreciated.Thank you.Nello

Hello there :) I create a project with TouchGFX 4.24.1, then import it to CubeIDE 1.16.1, which are both the current versions. Once i open the .ioc file, it says the file need to either be migrated to 6.12.1 or I can use the file as is, which seems to be 6.12.0. So there might be some missmatch between the current software releases.  Furthermore, and what really is my problem right now, is once I adjust any settings in cubeMX (USB_FS, ETH+LwIP), the files do get generated normally in the project directory, but are not included/linked in the project in cubeIDE at all. For small things this does'nt matter that much, but e.g. for LwIP there is so much stuff to manually add... Do I have something setup wrong, can this be adjusted, or is this i known bug with the newest release? I already did a clean reinstall of all STM-Programs.Example .ioc file attached (i just did a quick enable of USB and lwip for testing).Thanks!

According to my searches on the internet, I found at least 3 solutions to add FreeRTOS on top of the code generated with stm32cubeMX for STM32U5 ...1 - Get FreeRTOS from freertos.org or its GIT2 - Get FreeRTOS from the demo available on the B-U585-IOT2A eval board, on which FreeRTOS has been integrated with TrustZone3 - Get FreeRTOS 'classic-coremw-app' for stm32u5 from ST githubWhich way do you think is the easiest way for FreeRTOS implementation ?

Hello,My original project was created for STM32F030c8t6 and I want to get the list of compatible  MCU, so that I can migrate my project to STM32f103C8T6. I opened the cubeMX table from CubeIDE. While I clicked the list of compatible MCU, the programs hangs at 52% as given in the picture attached.CubeIDE version 1.15.1 on Windows11Please let me know if you need more information

Is there any difference if I create two freertos tasks by hand in my code or if I do it using the cubemx interface?Things like preventive checks, checks that the stacks do not overlap or are too big compared to the available memory?

The USB code for STM32H523 and STM32H533 generated by CubeMx v 6.12.1 (from STM32CubeIDE 1.16.1) does not work. It is missing a call to HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB() inside HAL_PCD_MspInit() The example code in:STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-H533RE\Applications\USBX\Ux_Device_CDC_ACM\Core\Src\stm32h5xx_hal_msp.chas it manually added:Can this be fixed in CubeMx, please.

Good morning , I have a problem on stm32: USART3 is impossible to put  into available:   the schematics of my nucleo 144 tell me however to use usart 3:  I wanted to do it manually by turning directly the pins of PD9 and PD10 into tx nd rx but it doesn't want to turn on the usart3. I think I am missing something.  

I am using a STM32 part on a Nucleo dev board. When I am looking and the main page in CubeMX I get an overview of the processor and its pins but I do not have a handy mapping to know which Nucleo pins are connected to which processors pins.Could we have an optional overlay to the existing diagram to show which Nucleo pins are connected to which processor pins. This would save me some time trying to track this down through the schematics.Many Thanks

ST-LINK_gdbserver has been a very important part of my Arduino development with ST micros. I've used it extensively with the STM32L071 and am wanting to use it with the STMU073. But I need to upgrade it for the newer micro. So I've upgraded my CubeMX and my CubeProgrammer.However, ST-LINK_gdbserver is nowhere to be found! Could someone please tell me where to find it? I've looked everywhere (I think) and done lots of searching. Any help would be appreciated!TIA

Hello everyone,I’m currently working on configuring the memory mapping for the STM32G431KB3U and ran into a bit of a roadblock. I was expecting to find a memory management section under the Tools tab in STM32CubeMX, but I didn’t see anything there.Additionally, I’ve searched through the documentation for the STM32G431KB3U, but I couldn’t find any information regarding whether this feature is available or not.Could anyone clarify if memory management configuration is supported in STM32CubeMX for the STM32G431KB3U? Hello, I have designed my PCB with STM32F103CBT6 and a 16MHz crystal oscillator. When I generate code with CubeMX with the clock configuration like the one of the attached images, 'SystemCoreClock', a global variable shows it's 36MHz while it should be 72MHz. Also, the led blink interval should wait 1000ms while it does only 500ms. It seems the clock is not running properly. As you can see in the last image, I set breakpoints at Error_Handler(), but I couldn't catch any error there so I assume the config was okay. In CubeMX, why are some chip pins shown in dashed boxes? 

I am using STM32CubeMX and need to setnBoot0, nBOOT0_SEL, and BOOT_LOCK. (Stm32G031 series is being used and Pattern 11 is being used)I have difficulty connecting with the STM32Cubeprogrammer program,so I would like to process it with the CubeMX program if possible,but I would like to inquire about how to modify the register. Please let me know!! please. 

Hi all,I'm starting to just get the hang of STM32 using a Nucleo-L476RG board.Discovering I2C, I'm finding the STM32CubeMX generates the I2C1's SDA/SDL pins for this board at PB7/PB6, not at all where they are according to the schematic (should be PB9/PB8). I've repeated the 'new project' steps a few times to cancel out me using an incorrect nucleo board.Connecting up a sensor to PB7/PB6 (using physical pins on rows CN7/CN5, I2C works just fine.All documentation I've found using this nucleo board, shows STM32CubeMX generating SDA/SDL on pins PB9/PB8.Am I doing something wrong here, or might this be an issue in the STM32CubeMX version (6.12.1.202409122256 I'm using?Thanks!

Hi! allI may not be at the right place but since I can't even start on the CubeMx, here it is.I'm a long time user of Microchip PIC product but since this is my first attempt to use the STM32 I suspect I will have some big time to understand all it's new setup. After looking several video on simple program, I downloaded the CubeMx 6.12.0 and I try those. But as soon as I try to push the blue "generate code" button at top far right, nothing happen. Same thing with the icon on top center "myST" login, nothing happen. I'd like to be able to use the STM32 board for larger and more memory space, so if someone  can help me on this one so I can move on to the programming section, that will be great.I have the Nucleo-144 F429ZIT and STM32F4VE, and several smaller boards but never use them so far.My goal is to talk to the STM32F4VE to "full test " the internal W25Q flash memory.I also have the "St-Link V2" for those who don't have the link.P.S.
