STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Hi All,I am trying to setup a build pipeline for the STM32 platform to be able to compile projects in an automated fashion. So far, I have an .ioc file which I use the to generate the project using the STM32CubeMX commands which are invoked via the script in the cli mode. The flow works on an Ubuntu machine which supports GUI. However, when I try to containerize the flow into a docker container, the build breaks as the STM32CubeMX tries to render a progress bar for the Loading IOC step followed by a Rendering UI progress bar. It is not possible to load display components on the docker and hence STM32CubeMX code generation fails. Is there any way to launch STM32CubeMX in a headless non-gui mode so that we can run this on headless machines?This is the UI that pops up.The following is the contents of my script fileconfig load <filename>.ioc project name app project toolchain STM32CubeIDE project path <path> SetCopyLibrary copy all SetStructure Advanced proj

Hi,While configuring STM32F446RE on CubeIDE for writing and reading on SD Card using SDIO mode (1 bit mode), when I'm generating code I get this error message :   - Main Config: These peripherals still have some not configured or wrong parameter values: [FATFS, Verify the Platform Settings Tab , Clock] I cannot find a way to resolve this error. I click on generate the code anyway.Kindly help

Hi, I'm using the STM32H563ZIT6 microcontroller with an 8 MHz external crystal oscillator. I have set the HCLK to 250 MHz, and my GPIO LED program is working fine. However, whenever I enable DAC channel 2, I encounter an HCLK configuration error. The system automatically sets the HCLK to 64 MHz, but I need it to remain at 250 MHz. My question is: why does enabling the DAC cause a clock configuration error, and why does the HCLK automatically change to 64 MHz? is there any clock setting to modify? When I disable the DAC, the HCLK works perfectly at 250 MHzi was enabled the DACafter giving resolve clock issues it automatically generating 64mhz for hclk

Hello,I would like to know how to configure the SD card of an STM32L552E-VE evaluation board, I have an example with this evaluation card 'FatFs_uSD_Standalone' but It's not easy for me to understand how to configure the 'SDMMC' with this board since there is no '.IOC' file. I have the example code but not the '.IOC' configuration file. Can anyone tell me how to configure the SD card via STM32CubeIDE ?Thank you for helps.

I have a custom board with LSM6DSV16XTR connected to SPI2. The configuration was created by CubeMX 6.11.1 and now used in CubeIDE 1.15.1 Now, I am wondering how to use the functions in lsm6dsv16x.c ? Do I have to initialize an object of type LSM6DSV16X_Object_t before calling LSM6DSV16X_Init( LSM6DSV16X_Object_t* ) ? Shall LSM6DSV16X_RegisterBusIO() be called before and if so, what are the correct parameters? Any hints are welcome.

Why isn't VREFBUF enable available in CubeMX for the STM32L432 series? I believe the reference manual says this series has control over the VREFBUF. It also seems there's no struct for VREFBUF control in the stm32l432xx.h file.

Hi,I just watched this video here: How to build an USBPD Sink application using the X-Cube-TCPP software pack - YouTube which explains how to build up a project with TCPP package for CubeMX.I use the newest CubeMX 6.11.1 but it looks different than in the video: means that the tab "PDO Sink" is missing. Any idea?Best regards,Achim  

STM32CubeG4 v1.3.0 contains STM32 OpenBootLoader 2.0. How is this used/accessed? I cannot find it anywhere in STM32CubeMX.I have STM32CubeMX v6.0.1 and STM32Cube MCU package for STM32G4 series v1.3.0.

I'm trying to generate a project from a .ioc file automatically on a headless system. This sees to be a very common source of problems. Is there a definitive solution for this? Otherwise I'm just here adding my vote for ST to add support for this.OS: OpenSUSE.I can't find a way of doing this with the STM32cubeIDE install. But if I install STM32cubeMX separately then the docs say you can do this via a script using ./STM32CubeMX -s yourscript. That nor the -i (for interactive) arguments work. The solution as provided in threads from 2019 is to do: "java -jar /path/to/STM32CubeMx -q yourscript". Why are the docs still wrong / why is this workaround still required when this has been a reported issue for 4 years?The next issue is that even this workaround isn't true CLI, as it still requires a display, if you try to run this headless you get: No X11 DISPLAY variable was set,And when running it on the local machine I see a small gui progress bar, and then a dialogue box pops up asking if I'm

I have been using STM32 microcontrollers for development for several years, and I am very grateful that development ecosystems such as CubeMX and Cube IDE helped me speed up development.However, the latest version of Cube MX requires user login, and I confirmed that login is not possible due to the security policy of the company I work for.The login window became unresponsive and the program had to be forcibly closed.This was very annoying.Will manufacturers actually gain much benefit by encouraging users to log in?I cannot agree.Rather, with this software structure, there will be people like me who cannot use it.I present a solution for users like me.1. i am using mxcube version 6.1.1 so i want to code  for udp ethernet ping working code for mx cube version 6.1.1. 

Has anyone found an error in CubeMX when trying to use one of the examples (specifically I2C_OneBoard_Communication_IT_Init) where CubeMX is stating that it is based off of the V1.3 software package.  My updater says that V1.3 is not available, but the CubeMX is still requiring it to be downloaded.   TIA

Hi to all,I use the Device MSC provided by CubeMX.I wrote my own diskio.c file and every works fine with an SD of 2Gb formatted in FAT.When I use n SD of 8Gb formatted in FAT32, WIndows take about 2 minutes to access the root directory. After this time, the Mass storage works fine.What is the delay in enumerating files in FAT32?Attached my usbd_storage_if.cP.S.: FATFS works great with the same user_diskio.c and user_spi_diskio.c (attached)Thanks to all.

Hi, I had to manually navigate to the /usr/local/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeMX/ folder to create the desktop shortcut.Xubuntu, VERSION="22.04.2 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)"

there is a strange phenomenon. I write some chinese comments in main.c and other files. when I use cubeMX to regenerate the code. the comments in main.c are partly changed and can't be display correctly. but the comments in the file that don't be regenerated by cubeMX are correct and don't be changed.then I regenreate the codes by stm32cubeMX.the mistake happend. I use the defualt configuration. but when I set encoding with GBK. the problem disappears.

Hello,I'm new on STM32 devices and would evaluate some MCU.I bought my eval kit, install the IDE and stuck on an error 1 minute after install ....I have this error each time I start a new project.I'm on Debian 12 and use the generic linux version.Also tried in root, but same problem.Someone can help me ? Using Nucleo 32H723ZG board, would like to add WolfSSL to it  Working on an SSH server app.Using the LwIP_HTTP_Server_Socket_RTOS example... watching this video:https://youtu.be/pUd2HEfBp3w?si=jiB2MysS9unIuVDr&t=1727It appears that my problem is this example does not generate an ioc file so that the pack I downloaded and put into CubeMX will not be applicable.  Is this right?  Will I just have to construct the example project and import it by hand? 

 

Hi, I create a new project with STM32CubeIde 1.15.1 (but same with 1.10.1)I add SDRAM 1 - BANK 1When I debug this project, after HAL_SDRAM_Init function in MX_FMC_Init(), I can wath the memory in MEMORY BROWSER at address 0x60000000.But on reference manual, SDRAM should be at 0xC0000000.I select Default mapping in Bank Mapping : If I select bank swapped, I have my datas at 0xC0000000.Is it a bug of STM32CubeIDE ?  

Hello,I'm working on a CMake F030 based project, generated with STM32CubeMX (MX and firmware package up to date to last version)So the CMakeList.txt link to a stm32cubemx library. Generating the basic project is ok. But now, I have created a libPWM that is in its own directory, with it own CMakeList.txt. It add some compilation_option such as -Wconversion and -WerrorThe pwmLib has to be linked to the stm32cubemx (for Driver include, cpu information...)But as the stm32cubemx is an interface, when generating the libPWM, it rebuild the stm32cubemx (for example Libs/libPWM/CMakeFiles/libPWM.dir/__/__/Drivers/STM32F0xx_HAL_Dreiver/Src/stm32f0xx_hal_flash_ex.c.obj) The problem is that it use the compile options that were defined in libPWM (-WConversion -WError). And the compilation failed because there are conversion warning in Drivers.How to avoid the stm32cubemx to be recompiled when linking to it, or how to avoid my compilation option to be propagate to the stm32cubemx lib when recom

Dear All,        In my project, I am using STM32F405RG MCU for file read/wirte operations using FATFS.I declare the physicaldrive as USB DEVICE (Mass storage Class) ,while I am generating a  code  for USB DEVICE(Mass Storage Class) its only works for  STM32CUBEMX V6.3 and its not working  higher version of 6.3.       If any specific reason behind that,please guide me.       STM32CUBEIDE V1.12.1      STM32CUBEMX  V6.3

Hi, I am frequently getting tired while working with the STM32H743ZIT6 144-pin Nucleo board / STM32H743IIT6 controller board and an externally connected Ethernet module using a communication protocol. Despite trying many different ways, it is still not working. The Ethernet module cannot be pinged.I’ve tried older versions of STM32CubeMX, including 5.0.0, 5.4.0, 6.10.0, and 6.11.1, as well as older firmware versions, but it still isn’t working.I have only used the Keil MDK-ARM V5 toolchain.Can anyone please help me with this communication protocol? If anyone has worked with the controllers I mentioned above, could you please share your code? Thank you!
