Posted on February 05, 2018 at 14:39Hi ,I'm new and I 'm developing on SPC570S40E1.I've a demo board and my final target board.When I try to debug my application I've 2 different behavior between  demo board and final target: on demo board during clock initialization I see by ME_GS register that the system is DRUN mode, while , on my final target, sw go in irqSysHalt called  by spc_clock_init SPC5_CLOCK_FAILURE_HOOK because system mode is RUN0.My demo board is SPC570S-DISP , my target is the same  micro 64 pin and I use UDESTK with microUSB.On the final target , after load the program, if I power on the board, the program run correctly, while with Debugger don't  run because is locked in irqSysHalt.#spc570s40e1 #ude #udestk

Posted on February 01, 2018 at 15:26Hello to everybody.I'm doing a research about different microcontrollers suitable for safety application, SPC570S50E1 is a very interesting candidate.The discussion is about what kind of support can I have for this microcontroller, I mean: I read the safety manual (DM00076080), all the indications about safety concepts are explained, but is there some software library already developed for this device (from ST or third party) in order to accomplish safety routines, or have I to write on my own?Or, is there some IDE that has these libraries?Thanks for help!With kind regards,Daniel

Is this possible using the free FreeGCC v4.9.3 with VLE support? If so, is there a guide available on how to solve this? Has been parked here.... I didn't changed any code...

Posted on January 15, 2018 at 18:20My problems same as https://community.st.com/message/10560 The SPC5Studion was upgraded to 5.7.1But I selected SPC56-DISCOVERY(BOARD) , DRIVERS --STM My toolchains is the GNU make builder of spc5studio default.Keep the example codes from code generation...it is giving following errors, - Symbol 'NULL' could not be resolved - Symbol 'uint32_t' could not be resolved - Symbol 'int32_t' could not be resolved - Symbol 'uint16_t' could not be resolved - Symbol 'uint8_t' could not be resolved... I was tried to set in C/C++ general ==> Preprocesseur IncludeIt cannot be to solved these problems.Can you help me resolve these?Thanks in advance for all your help.Chamberplus #spc56

I have just installed SPC5Studio 5.7.1 and am attempting to use the Eclipse Marketplace to download the PowerPC-VLE GCC compiler as per the SPC5Studio installation instructions. Posted on January 08, 2018 at 16:10hello everybody,we use the SPC56EL70 discovery board with Spc5 studio as IDE and UDE STK - 4.8 as Debugger.Today we got the following failure message - please see the following picture.The only thing we changed was the additional usage of the A/D-port E12. After downloading the extended code we got the above failure message. Now we can�t flash the SPC with another source code.Please let us know how we can put the SPC back into operation. Posted on December 21, 2017 at 14:42i am developing boot loader for spc56ec64l7 controller.my bootloader application is at address 0x00 and boot loadable application is from 0x0001_0000. i integrate flash driver from one demo project.when i try to use pFlashErase() its stuck in unhandled exception.i think boot ladable application page is erased but code stuck in unhandled exception.here i attach screen shot of cpu resister which shows that it goes in unhandled exception from pFlashErase()  and also attach project.can any one help?#flash-erase #spc56-flash

Posted on December 12, 2017 at 02:47Hi,I am using the sample application SPC570Sxx_RLA FreeRTOS SERIAL Test Application for Discovery and my hardware is the SPC570S-DISP board.I found that if i enable the 'Use software timers' in the SPC5 FreeRTOS component RLA, then generate and build the code, and program the board, debug through it, it suppose to stay in the 'vTaskStartScheduler();', but it doen't. It will step through it and fail the sample application. I wonder what is the cause for the failure? According to FreeRTOS documentation, if it run out of heap or other problem, it will step out of the vTaskStartScheduler().Did i do something wrong or the software timer is not supported?BTW, i noticed the Timer task stack depth is 2048, is that too much? I sort of noticed that during my experiment of my application, if i asked for 1000 stack depth for my task, the application will fail. Posted on December 12, 2017 at 02:55Hi,I am using sample application for serial operation on SPC570S-DISP, from serial_lld.c, it looks like SD1 is mapped to LINFLEX0 and SD2 is mapped to LINFLEX1. I have no problem read/write SD1, however i need at least 2 serial port, one for console and one for API. But when i add a line of code 'sd_lld_start (&SD2, NULL); ' after the original 'sd_lld_start(&SD1, NULL);', the application stops working. Debug showing it is stuck in the first xTaskCreate (...) function call i had. If i comment out the sd_lld_start for SD2, then the xTaskCreate function call can complete and application works. I wonder what i have missed.I have set the SPC570Sxx Low Level Drivers Component RLA/LINFlex Settings/LINFLEX1 to Serial (default was None). I don't know if there is any other place i need to change.Best Regards,Job#serial

Posted on November 30, 2017 at 02:49Hi,I need to use UART to send data from the SPC570S-DISP to a different board, looking at the UM2025 User Manual for the SPC570S-DISP: Discovery + Evaluation Board, section 2.9 LINFlex and UART, it says the LINFlex supports LIN Master mode, LIN slave mode and UART mode, but not much detail information there.So, what are the PINs i can use for the UART? I expect to find 3 PINs for TX/RX/GND, but for TX alone, there are TX, TXD, K TXD, LIN_TXD. Also is there any jumper to configure for the UART mode?Besides the UM2025, is there any other document that offer more detailed information about the SPC570S-DISP board? What am I missing?
