Posted on March 16, 2015 at 15:58Hello Members,I am trying to generate the PWM output on channel 1. As per my understanding, channel 0 is PA9, channel 1 is PA10 and so on. I am using the test application ''SPC560Dxx OS-Less PWM-ICU Test Application'' for this. I performed following steps,1. Changed the platform component to SPC560D30L3.2. Tested the app for PWM on channel 0 (PA9) and it is working fine.3. I changed the PA9 to PA10.4. Under HAL drivers, I modified the eMIOS settings for channel 1. (i.e. disabled ch 0 and enabled ch 1, keeping the callback function names as it is)5. Generate application and build the project.6. Debug and testI am not getting the PWM output on ch 1 (PA10). What is the reason? Is any other settings are required for this?Your earliest help in this regard will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Mike. #pwm

Posted on March 16, 2015 at 19:15Hi I want to use 2 can port , i tried a lot for this issue in two MCU : SPC560B50L5 and SPC560B54L5 Both of them Have a same Response in this family when i look at the datasheet i saw a Flexcan1 have 3 CANRX pin And 2 CANTX pin  in program you can set the function of pin for can driver when you set pins manualy or set with pinmap . Finally I found the Special pins for can is work correctly : only PC[10] =CANTX1 and PC[3] =CANRX1  the Refrence manual and datasheet said you can select the pin  but it is not correct is this bug or not ? best regards Vanima

Posted on March 12, 2015 at 18:04Hi When i want to config Pin for flexcan1 in spc560b50L5 i set the pin PC10 and PC11 for TX and RX but flexcan1port not work.  (same function work for CANFlex 0) then i change the other pins in pinmap wizard like output but when i close the pinmap and next time re-open the pin map all CANRX pins have an error. when i check the pins pinmap automaticly change the CANRX and Flexcan1 do not work is this a bug or not ? please help me thanks Best Regards Vanima

Posted on March 09, 2015 at 15:01using the SPC560B-DIS board I'm having trouble with eDMA. I've got a very basic function set up to write a succession of 32bit words from one array to another using the eDMA. but it doesn't seem to ever get on to the second (or subsiquent) major loop iterations (as in CITER decriments the once but then not again) If i manually reset the TCD.START, the next iteration happens (and if I keep doing this the iterations continue till CITER is zero and the done flag is activated) However I assume that subsiquent 'loops' should be started by hardware. Any help with this would be appreciated. #discovery #iter #dma

Posted on January 19, 2015 at 10:45Hello,I am trying to build a project created using SPC5Studio Wizard. The steps used are File->New->SPC5Studio Wizard. Afte this I selected SPC560D-DIS as the product line. Then selected all the drivers with OSLess version. I selected all the available applications for this configuration. I tried building one of the application - SPC560Dxx OS-Less Test Application for Discovery, it is giving following errors,- Symbol 'NULL' could not be resolved- Symbol 'uint32_t' could not be resolved- Symbol 'int32_t' could not be resolved- Symbol 'uint16_t' could not be resolved- Symbol 'uint8_t' could not be resolvedSimilar errors for different defines used in main.c file are there. Few errors are for the functions used like osalThreadSleepMilliseconds().Can you please help me resolve these? Is any project setting/configuration missing?Your earliest help in this regard will be highly appreciated.Thanks in advance for all your help.Mike.

I've never had any specific experience with such a kind of MCU indeed i'm having some trobles about how to implement basic function like making an ADC or providing an DSPI or CAN Comunication. Actually I'm working with SPC56EL70L5DISP Discovery Board. I'm using all the Graphical Tools present inside the SPC5 Studio for SPC56 MCU line but nevertheless I'm following the procedures I'm having software problems since I've not found many supports about how to use the API related to the different HAL Components. I've searched for several reference notes in the ST forum and site but unfortunately I've not found in them basic informations about how to use the Drivers related to the HAL Components. Posted on February 12, 2015 at 15:43Hello, Currently I am using the SPC56EL which gives the user the possibility to use it in LSM (Lock Step Mode) or DPM (Decoupled Parallel Mode). In Application Configuration ==> SPC56ELxx Platform Component ==> Runtime Settings I saw the option ''Dual Core Mode'' but it can´t be changed. Is this function prepared for use but currently not implemented in SPC5 Studio? Is it planned to implement the function in one of the next SPC5 Studio releases? Best regards, Patrik

Posted on February 18, 2015 at 14:22Hello Members,I am using SPC560D030 for a product. I have connected PE0 and PB1 to use as wakeup. I want to have system wakeup functionality based on CAN request received (PB1) or when a +5V is applied to a pin PE0. When I try to configure these pins for wakeup using SPC5Studio, it asks for the ISR vector number. I tried assigning number 46 for both the interrupts but it generates an error. As per the reference manual (CD00259063.pdf) table 143: Interrupt Vector Table, these two interrupts fall under WakeUp_IRQ_0 having IRQ ♯ as 46. It looks like my understanding is incorrect for IRQ and ISR vector number. How can I identify the correct ISR vector number for the required wakeup signal? This I want for external interrupt as well.Thanks in advance for your help.Mike. #vector-number

Posted on February 12, 2015 at 15:09I am currently working on a BLDC control application using SPC560P40 (Pictus) microcontroller and making use of the CTU (Cross-Triggering-Unit) to trigger ADC channels related to BEMF reading in closed loop control. The conversion for the ADC channel configured in CTU mode works fine, however  while CTU is active (CTUEN=1) I cannot start a normal conversion for any other channel which is configured in NORMAL mode. Is this a limitation of the PICTUS? The user manual is not very clear here... Thanks for advice, Benone #spc56 #adc #bldc #ctu

Posted on February 10, 2015 at 08:33when I use DSPI , I send two frames 16bits per frame, and I monitor that there is a pulse inter frame on MOSI pin (suppose I send two frames  0x00000000 ), it is very strange , I checked step and step,when I set MOSI pin as SIU.PCR[38].R=0x0604 or 0x06xx; MOSI will change to high value; So I guess the interframe high level shown is due to MOSI return to default value high. But can I set default value of MOSI as low level value ? --Note , there is no external pull up on MOSI , and when I configure MOSI as output low , the pin still show highlevel.

For that case, I wrote a small demo program. The outputArray isuint16_t and contains 256 elements.Each element stands for a state of 8 GPIO pins. The software should write these elements circular to the PGPDO[0] register, but it doesn´t work. I tried adding the same to 'source' folder. I also modified the project properties to include the source folder. Still when I build the project, it is giving error for the new file as no such file or folder exists. What other settings are required? The project generates different PWM signals on the PWMA pin of submodule0. I was able to adapt the PWM configuration to generate the same signal on PWMB pin of submodule0.
