Hi, I am looking for an LPAd (Local Profile Assistant - Device) for Linux to manage eSIM profiles on a Linux-based system. Does ST provide an LPAd solution for Linux, or could you recommend a compatible alternative? I am currently trying to download a profile on the eUICC ST4SIM-CP2. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  

Hi Everyone,I am working on enabling Direct Test Mode (DTM) for BLE-SPBTLE-RF, which is connected to my STM32L053 via SPI1 on a custom PCB. The goal is to perform RF testing so I can submit the board for regulatory certification. Hardware Setup: MCU: STM32L053 BLE Module: SPBTLE-RF Connection Interface: SPI1 Available Debug Pins: SWDIO & SWCLK (Used for ST-LINK flashing & debugging) Custom PCB: Already assembled, so I cannot access additional UART/SPI pins easily or can design(only things i can do is i take out connection from  the ble pads by soldering jumpers if req) Challenges: Since SPI1 is used for communication with the BLE module, can I still enable DTM mode without a direct UART connection? The official DTM firmware expects an HCI UART interface. Is there an alternative way to send DTM commands via SPI? Given my limited access to only SWDIO & SWCLK, is there a way to configure the BLE module into DTM mode through firmware modifications on STM32L053? What I Ne

Hello,I am currently experiencing issues with my S2LP. When I start it, I switch it directly to STATE_READY, and it works as expected.I then proceed to configure all the necessary registers.Between each register write, I make sure to monitor MC_STATE0, which always remains equal to 1 (so STATE_READY + 1, as bit 0 of XO_ON is set to 1).Once my configuration is complete, I switch to RX_STATE.This is where the problem occurs: right after switching to RX, MC_STATE0 becomes 0, meaning even XO_ON is cleared. Even if I try to switch back to READY, STANDBY, or any other mode, I can change states, but my XO_ON remains off.However, I don't encounter this issue when switching to STANDBY or SLEEP—in these cases, XO_ON is not affected.For reference, my code worked on one of my circuits—I was able to switch to RX without issues—but it no longer works on the new one. So I am inclined to blame the hardware, but I would like to know if there could be another possible explanation.Thanks in advance,Best

We use STM32L162xx MCU to communicate with S2_LP and SP_BTLE drivers via SPI.   With S2-LP, it returns the MC_STATE as READY during inital setup for power , sync word etc. But when I Strobe the RX command it returns MC_STATE as LOCK_ST(0x14).  DMA is enabled for SPI tranfer and we user HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(...)  to clock out the bytes. Similarly for SP_BTLE, As part of initialisation we perform hard reset followed by reading version from SP-BTLE chip: s part of the BLE initialization, following a hard reset the firmware  attempts to read the Version from SP-BTLE enable chip select (configured as active low)  Write Send command(0x10) via SPI and receive a 2 byte response from chip (0x02 and 0x7f) Disable chip select (with Time delay) Enable chip select (with minimum delay) Send actual command to read version ogf = OGF_INFO_PARAM(0x0004), 0cf = OCF_READ_LOCAL_VERSION(0x0001) Disable chip select. Wait for interrupt event. enable chip select.

Hello,I was researching ST eSIM offerings, and what I found out is that SIM provisioning goes through partner 1Global. My primary use case is to be able to provision the eSIM with multiple profiles without using 3rd party.Can you please tell me are there any eSIM solutions that I can use without going through 1Global (profile download as it is implemented in consumer eSIM devices)? And if not are there any plans in the future to offer consumer grade eSIM solutions that use provisioning without 3rd party?Thank you

I am using STM32L34 with STPM34, where I am trying to disable CRC once the power up sequence is done ( global reset),but STPM34 chip always sends row 0 values. can anyone tell me what could be the issue? I am also attaching SPI bus data. 

Hi,I am using a SIM7080G module along with the eSIM model ST4SI2M0020TPIFW, and when I use the AT+CCID or AT+CPIN? commands, the module responds with "+CPIN: NOT INSERTED". I have followed all the steps in this tutorial to activate it, and I managed to do so, but I find that on the Truphone page, the session status of the eSIM, despite the SIM status being activated, as shown in the image I attached at the end, is it possible that the SIM7080G module cannot recognize the eSIM because I apparently activated it incorrectly? Should I only follow the steps in the application note I attached to use the eSIM and make calls or connect to the internet, or do I need to perform any additional configuration with a local operator in my country? I hope you can help me.  

Dear all, Im currently using STSW-IOL4LSV1 package for evaluation.My Company has no IO-Link venodor ID, based on IO-Link regulations we are allowed to develop devices for ourself even without it but we dont want to use our old Stack anymore. I cannot Find any license terms, am i allowed to use the delivered Mini Stack for productive applications and sell them or is it limited or restricted? Thanks a lot

Hello,I'm using BALF-SPI2-02D3 with the S2-LP chip at 433MHz.However, my application is only for reception, and no RF transmission. What should I do with the Tx pin on the Balun? Open, Resistor to GND or Capacitor to GND?I also need the same answer for the S2-LP TX pin. Thank you! 

Hello everybody.I have a STEVAL-FCU001V1 board and I would like to use the SPBTLE-RF BLE module included. I have read the board datasheet and it indicates that the module uses the SPI1 pins as an interface, but in the module datasheet there isn't a section for commands or registers, so I wonder how I can control and configure the module, I have found in some posts that it uses the HCI commands, it's correct?Any help will be appreciated. 

Are there any samples I can order? I don't see it listed on any of the distributor sites. If anyone knows where I can get one that would be great! Also, if an ST rep can state when they will be available to order that would also be great!   Thanks

I am working on a project with the STPM3x chip. We have a custom PCBA that does not appear to be working. I am able to communicate with the chip via SPI. I can set the gain registers and read them back. However, the voltage and current measurements are not correct/existent. I can read them in but they make no sense. Doesn't matter if I have power applied to the chip or not they come back erroneous. We copied the board design from the evaluation board. The code works with the evaluation board so I'm confident the firmware is correct. I did notice on pin 27, we connect to VCC (3.3V) and it looks like on the evaluation board that shouldn't be but I can't imagine that is causing poor measurements. Curious if I could get an FAE at ST look over the design and see if they seen something I don't.  We are using a different crystal than the eval board but I imagine if I can read/write registers than the crystal is not the issue. I imagine the crystal is used to generate a clock for the digi

 I am working with the STPM34/STPM33 chip and using the STPM34 evaluation board. I have noticed in my own hardware and the eval boards that when you attach power to measure voltage it shorts something and blows up. Is this a known issue? Is there a known solution. I attached a photo. Looks like a resistor that's blowing.  

I saw the B2279 ST60A2G0 Circular Patch antenna RF board listed on the attachment (ST60A2 product development kit list). How can i find more info about that ST60A2 development board? I want to know more about the circular antenna used in RF board & spec before purchase. Thank you

Hi everyone,I am developping an application on the BlueNRG-M2SA module (BLE 4.2) supporting Multiple connections.In my case, the BLE device is configured as PERIPHERAL and is able to serve two connections from two different Android devices simultaneously.The connectivity is quite stable (from a few hours to even 48 hours con) where both devices remain connected and getting data from the BLE device every 1 second.Sometimes this connectivity brakes unexpectedly with Error code 0x28(Reason: Instant Passed). This could happen very often or sometimes after 48h of no disconnection problem. Is there any way to prevent these disconnections caused by "Instant Passed" errors?Thanks in advance,

I have B-L462E-CELL1 development board with ST4SIM200M IC. this board came pre-provisioned with the Truphone profile but I didn't find any way to add a new profile. According to the datasheet eSIm chip supports up to 7 profiles but How can we add and switch between different profiles?

Hi, I am using a SIM7600 and a SIM card to get cellular connectivity. Now I would want to use an e-SIM instead of the SIM card holder. However I cant find information regarding if ST Electronics e-SIMs could use any cellular network provider or if it is linked to one.Whenever I hear e-SIM i get the idea that you could have multiple profiles on it but I cant get an answer. Are the e-SIMs linked to one provider, or I could have multiple providers like Verizon or SK Telecom or Truphone, etc, or could I use the e-SIMs to a single (any) provider in the world.Thanks

Hi everyone, In my company, we are currently working on the IOT solution that implements ST4SIM-200M module on our PCB. To shorten things up, we are using SIMCOM modem with the psychical SIM card and it's working ok as we expected. Our next step was to implement eSIM so we practically replaced the psychical SIM card with the ST4SIM-200M module. Out of the box, after activating default 50Mb profile on Truphone portal, network is started and working ok.  So, the next step for us was to be able to add some more profile to the eSIM module and SIMCOM provided us with some AT commands to manage/manipulate these profiles on the eSIM module. For example, we acquired the local provider QR code with the eSIM profile and activation code for our mobile data plan, but somehow we are not able to do this. Is there an support or some manual/tutorial for the ST4SIM-200M where this profile management procedure is shown or this cannot be done in this way at all.Sorry, t

I may consider embenet as option. Another thing that I'm trying right now is Contiki NG. I use STM32L152 Nucleo and S2-LP. I succesfully ran border router app and udp client. After connecting successfully to the smartphone application:1. We can transmit 1 or 2 bytes from smartphone to the BLE target.Any attempt to transmit more than 2 bytes fails.2. We can transmit from BLE target to the smartphone up to 20 bytes.   Any attempt to transmit more than 20 bytes fails. I’m testing S2-LP sub-GHz transceivers in stack packet mode. I’m encountering an issue where the sequence number in ACK packets sent by the receiver doesn’t seem to be populated correctly. If I’m not mistaken, when automatic acknowledgment is requested by the transmitter, the receiver should send back an ACK packet with the same sequence number - that's how the transmitter knows which packet is being acknowledged. However, in my case, the receiver is using 'its own' sequence number, incremented with each transmitted acknowledgement, regardless of the sequence number it received from the transmitter. Effectively, transmitted and received sequence numbers on the transmitter side don't match and 'TX data sent' interrupt is not triggered.The table below shows the transmission and acknowledgment process between one transmitter and two receivers.
