Sir,I am working on the imp34dt05 sensor but how could we configure its parameter.Could u guide us for that.What should be sampling frequency and what is the range of the frequency that it can capture and what should be sampling frequency of pcm and what should be size of pcm output and what should be size of buffer and data size of pdm output captured by the stm32f4 controller?

Currently designing a  low power embedded system for monitoring application using IMU LSM6DS032, tried both low power/normal mode and the ultra low power mode setting on this IMU, but I could not find the significant difference in the power consumption in these modes.Any suggestion on the way I am configuring the IMU in ULP mode would be really appreciated.Steps taken to turning on the Ultra low power modeAccelerometer is powered-down by setting ODR_[3:0] bits to 0b0000 in CTRL1_XL register.Gyroscope is powered-down by setting the bits ODR_[3:0] = b0000 of CTRL2_G register.Setting XL_ULP_EN bit of CTRL5_C to 1.Setting XL_HM_MODE of CTRL6_C to  0.Using the FSR of 4G and ODR of 208Current draw for the MCU interface with IMU is ~2mA  with IMU in ULP/Low-Power mode and MCU in deep sleep. I am reading through TN0018 and saw that it is possible to have signal and plane on the bottom layer. Does this apply to flex PCB with 50-150um thickness? 

Hello, We are using the ASM330LHH in a design and are seeing extremely large gyro biases (~250 deg/s). I am trying to figure out what may be causing them; here is some information on the experiment. We collect data while spinning our custom boards (with an ASM330LHH mounted on them) at various rates from 0-800 deg/s on a rate table so that we can calibrate the IMUs. Below I have attached two images of the data collected at the same time (using the same software) from two different ASM330LHH units. Note that in this particular collect, the devices are positioned so that the y axis is aligned with the axis of rotation, but these biases stay regardless of the orientation relative to the axis of rotation. Any ideas what could be causing such a large bias? Unit 1 (exactly as I would expect the data to look) Unit 2 (apparent bias of 255 dps in the x axis and -130 dps in the z axis)   

Hi,I’m using the NUCLEO-STM32F401RE with the X-NUCLEO-CCA02M2 board, which has two MP34DT06 PDM microphones. I want to capture stereo audio using I2S2 and convert it to PCM using the PDM2PCM middleware in STM32CubeIDE.In AN5027 (page 18), a timer is used for stereo mode. This confuses me — since I2S2 can generate the clock and receive data, is the timer still needed to capture stereo PDM signals?I’m new to this domain, so any guidance is appreciated.Thanks!

For special test case, that directed connected IIC's SCL(LUX_TILT_SCL) to GND and kept for 5mins, will this action hurt or damage IIS2DLPC?IIC worked with 100kbps.Work with IIC. We found that after this action/error injection:Sometimes, the sensor cannot response with IIC ACK/no response from sensor.Sometimes, the sensor responses with incorrect axis data. 

Hi, I'm curious to see if it is possible to connect more than one STEVAL-EVK-U0I boards to a computer and read images of all of them? The SDK has  an init function that allows you give a board id, but it is unclear what the board id means or if it will give the desired effect. Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

Hello, I'm looking for a very high precision inclination sensor. I found this IIS2ICLX. I have some questions on the specifications.1) What is the repeatability of the device?2) From the spec sheet, it might seem like the repeatability of the device is 0.075mg but it's unclear. If that is the spec, can you help me in converting this to degrees?3) Are there other devices that have a higher repeatability? Thanks

Dear ST team,Hello, I am using the VL53L1CX with the 3.2.1 library and have noticed that when measuring the distance to an iPhone, the results are not very accurate and tend to jump between several different distances. Is this caused by the iPhone’s Face ID sensor, the reflective glass surface of the iPhone, or some other reason? What can I do to improve the measurement accuracy in this scenario?Thank you for your help.

Hi All,I'm developing a proximity switch using VL53L4CDMy unit works perfectly 99.9% of the time but I’m seeing occasional instances where the unit triggers very briefly even when there’s nothing in range. It may go an hour between such events, even several hours, but equally it can on rare occasions do it twice in a minute. It’s almost like a fly flew through the beam. It’s literally on in one frame and off again in the next.I’m using the UL driver without thresholds (RS_IT_DEFAULT), since I need to enforce some hysteresis. My ranging frequency is 20Hz. The unit has the standard cover glass and I’m calibrating it before use with a 17% target. I get the problem whether or not the cover glass is fitted, and the amount of ambient light doesn’t seem to be a factor.I only allow a change of state to ‘on’ when ToF status = 0 and distance <= threshold, so that must be happening occasionally even when there’s no target.This is a production ready pcb but in an effort to see what was happenin

Hi,I am trying to read data from my ISM330DHCX using my STM32G491 Nucleo board over SPI3However, I am having trouble understanding the operation of this device, so I would like to explore the answers to the following questions:1) What is the most basic start-up sequence that would allow me to read data from the gyroscope?According to page 37 of the data sheet --> this is all that is needed to operate in SPI mode:SPI interface: I2C_disable = 1 in CTRL4_C (13h) and DEVICE_CONF = 1 in CTRL9_XL (18h).Is there anything else that must be done? 2) Is my SPI3 configured properly for the ISM330DHCX?CPOL = HighCPHA = 2 Edge 3) It seems like the ISM330DHCX always operates in MSB first mode --> is this correct?4) Is the INTx pin required for operation?Thanks!

Dear community,I am selecting an accelerometer to use in a project and I am looking for some advice.Essentially I am looking for the highest performance accelerometer (regarding noise) in the STM portfolio.The sensor requirements are: ~±2g scale support, I2C support (preferred), FIFO buffer, at least 1 (absolute) threshold interrupt. I am currently using the LSM303AGR in my design, which I am comparing to the LIS2DW12 and LSM6DSV16X as a potential replacement. For the comparison (see table), the most important factors are noise and active current consumption in high-performance mode. Note that the LSM303 and LSM6 are not pure accelerometers, since they offer additional functionalities (i.e., magnetometer & gyro).  Hi all, I'm back with another question re: our 5-TOF setup (VL53L4CX x 5, all 'looking' out of the centre of a spherical sculpture, trying to detect and interpret people approaching and interacting with it).I posted earlier about trying to multiplex these 5 sensors to avoid crosstalk, and that sort-of-worked but introduced enough lag that it wasn't worth it -- we have carefully managed the positioning of the cones and I don't think we are getting much crosstalk, or at least, once we started throwing out rangeStatus 4, 12, and 11 we got pretty good results.  We are basically only using rangeStatus 0 readings now.Further note: we are looking for targets at about .75-2.5m, so right at the edge of where these results seem reliable.My question is:I'm seeing a bit of 'bouncing' where on one read a sensor will report 2 targets, then just one, then back to 2... since we're only taking the 0 rangeStatus readings, I'm going to assume that it's basically having trouble confirming a sec

Hi! I inherited a project and we're seeing strange accelerometer values and I'd like to get a sanity check on my configuration. when Idle and flat, I see 1g on Z, 0g on X and Y. When my device is moving I see peaks on many axes beyond 1g, eg 2.5 on X or Z, and it does not seem real. Here is downsampled data from a log file. X (brown) goes from +1.5g to -1.5g, Z (gray) is over 2.3g. I am not expecting such numbers during a short banked turn at ~15 mph This is my init. Hi ST guys,I played with the LIS3DH accelerometer options and don't really see difference in interrupts.Can you explain the differences between 6D and no 6D because as per my understanding of AN3308 the AOI + 6D option is position detection which is where I should get an interrupt when position of device is configured.ex : I put 0xF4 in INT1_CFG to enable AOI + 6D + ZHIE, ZLIE and YLIE and it doesn't seem to change when I put 0x34The documentation is also confusing regarding CTRL_REG6 (25h), can you explain  :I2_IA1 Enable interrupt 1 function on INT2 pin.  (is it configuration of INT1_XXX ?)I2_IA2 Enable interrupt 2 function on INT2 pin.  (is it configuration of INT2_XXX ?)I2_ACT Enable activity interrupt on INT2 pin. (What is this option ?)My goal is to have detection of fixed position on one AXIS (let say +Z or -Z) for putting device at sleep mode and motion detection to potential theft of device. I'm trying to port the VL53L0X library for use with the RP Pico W for academic reasons, but I can't map the calls between the VL53L0X SDK and the RP Pico W SDK. For example, the function int32_t VL53L0X_read_multi(uint8_t address, uint8_t index, uint8_t *pdata, int32_t count) would theoretically need to be adjusted to call the function int i2c_read_blocking(i2c_inst_t *i2c, uint8_t addr, uint8_t *dst, size_t len, bool nostop) Attempt to read specified number of bytes from address, blocking. Am I right? Or should it be another way?Thanks

Hello!!I just started with the ASM330LHHX DIL24 module for the X-NUCLEO Boards, the module is listed as compatible with the IKS4A1 (sensors below):I have read some documents related to the procedure to make it work but it's an "old" document (see below), I look for general advice:Once the module is inserted do I need to configure any jumpers in the XNUCLEO board?If there is no need to modify jumper configuration on the board, does that mean that all configuration is done via software, correct?Once I gain access to the ASM330, the rest of the sensors onboard the IKS4A1 will be available? all of them + the ASM330?> If you have a tip or advice related to the configuration to enable the ASM3330 feel free to share it.Document: an5353-how-to-use-a-sensor-on-a-dil-24-socket-in-xcubemems1-package-applications-stmicroelectronicsThanks!J.D 

Hi, I have teh VD55G1 connected to UCM-IMX8m PLUS sbev from compulab Here is the links to the SBC : https://www.compulab.com/products/computer-on-modules/ucm-imx8m-plus-nxp-i-mx-8m-plus-som-system-on-module-computer/ I am compiling the driver with my kernel for that SBC and it loads and registers the device accurately. I would like to start the stream with the camera using v4l2-ctl but it give me a negotiation error. The logs attached is what i see when i try to start the video.  Is there anything that I should attempt to fix this issue?   

I use the VL53L1X TOF- Sensor on an Arduino Mega.With just the Sensors, everything works well.But when I try to read from Serial1 (and I tried Serial2 and 3 as well) I do not receive any Data from the SerialPort.Without the Sensors the SerialPorts work well.I do not undestand, where this comes from. Has anyone some advice for me?Thanks!!

Hello,We have an issue with the VL53L7CX. We are using 2.8V for both IOVDD and AVDD. We have 4x TOF sensor on the same I2C line. We set the LPn for 3x of them to low to disable the i2c comm. We are only using 1x TOF for now with it's LPn set to High for testing purpose.We are able to finish the initialization OK using the ULD API https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img036.html. Hi, I would like to use an external signal to trigger camera capture with the STEVAL-EVK-U0I board. I am using a promodule (CAM-56G3), and looking at the document: how-to-integrate-and-configure-the-vd56g3-vd66gy-and-vd16gz-devices  (p.g. 22 section 1.3), I know it should be possible to do this by using the gpio 0 pin, and setting the first 2 bits of the VT_CTRL  register to EXTERNAL_SYNC. However, it is unclear to me if the STEVAL-EVK-U0I board exposes the gpio pin I need or if there is another way to go about this with the STEVAL-EVK-U0I board and a promodule.Thanks
