I have a STM32F407G-disc1 board and i have been trying to get readings from its onboard accelerometer LIS3DSH using bsp library of Stm32F4 Discovery. The initialization went fine but the accel readings didnt make any sense. Hi all, I am trying to program my LSM6DSV16X sensor to operate with its embedded SFLP capabilities. The datasheet for the sensor describes there being three sensor fusion performance operating regions: static accuracy, low dynamic accuracy, and high dynamic accuracy. Is there a configuration of the LSM6DSV16X sensor that is best suited to facilitate each of the accuracy modes, specifically I am interested in the Low Dynamic Accuracy region of operation? Is there an ideal configuration to achieve this operational accuracy? Or are these more guidelines as to how the accuracy of the board will react to different speeds of motion regardless of the configuration of the board? Any insight on this matter is appreciated! Hi,I'm building a program to continuously get data from accelerometer LSM6DS3I'm writing in Micropython under a PYboard v1.1 over its SPI (speed 525000kbits/s)I want to log continuously log gyro and accelerometer to sd cardTo debug, I have configured the LSM6DS3 to fill its FIFO at 26hz (Accel n Gyro are also set to 26hz (high performance))So that I use interrupt INT1 to tell PYboard FIFO threshold (FIFO FTH) has reached a certain amount of data (516 or 1032 words) and then write those data onto the SDcard...Here is what I can see when I plot Gyros and Accelerometers Datas.....First LSM6DS3 is stand still on a plate, then I can see some kind of pattern on signals, this pattern is the exact period of FIFO FTH !!!! How can it be ???? (figure : FIFO FTH = 1032words of data, so 1032/6 = 172, spikes appears every 172 samples) We get the same with half FIFO FTH (516words, spikes appears every 86 samples )  @Eleon BORLINI @Federica Bossi 

I am using the IIS3DWB sensor and have a question about reading data from the FIFO.Currently, I use the following function to retrieve one set of x, y, z values at a time:int32_t iis3dwb_fifo_out_raw_get(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t *buff){int32_t ret;ret = iis3dwb_read_reg(ctx, IIS3DWB_FIFO_DATA_OUT_X_L, buff, 6);return ret;}If I want to retrieve 1024 sets of data at once, can I modify it like this:ret = iis3dwb_read_reg(ctx, IIS3DWB_FIFO_DATA_OUT_X_L, buff, 1024 * 6);Will this allow the SPI to fetch all 1024 sets of data in a single cycle?Additionally, I am using the sensor's FIFO feature with an ODR set to ODR/10, resulting in approximately a 2.6 kHz data FIFO buffer rate. I am interested in reading the buffer data at once when the COUNTER_BDR_IA flag is enabled. 

What is self-test in IIS3DWB and what is the criteria to indicate pass or fail??

I am trying to connect the IMU sensor that is onboard the STEVAL_MKI236AA evaluation board. I am currently trying to connect that board to BeagleBone AI-64 or a basic arduino via I2C and was able to detect an I2C device as 0x6A and 0x6B as the board has 2 IMU sensors. My current issue is making use of the .c drivers provided by ST on github (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/asm330lhb-pid/tree/64dab105b84706e68a405678a4b0f10a28d7b489) and using the provided example over here (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/asm330lhb_STdC/examples/asm330lhb_read_data_polling.c) can someone guide me how to grab the 6-axis data for this evaluation board as the provided example doesn't have this board listed in it. Hi @Federica Bossi , I need help with setting LSM6DSO sensor hub i2c master clock speed. How do I set the master i2c clock speed between LSM6DSO and external sensor for sensor hub operation? Is there registers or something else on LSM6DSO that controls master i2c clock speed between external sensors? If there is anything I am mistaken about, please do correct me.Thanks,

Hello,I have question please, can you tell me the protection index (IP) of the LPS28DFW ? also the LPS22DF has 22000g High shock survivability, it's perfromant for my application but for the LPS28DFW i don't find any information on the datasheet about the High shock survivability.Can you tell me if the 2 sensors have the same High shock survivability or not ? Thank you very much

Hi,I am using the Lis2dh12 mems accelerometer sensor in a design. I configured it for a g-force threshold within any of the 3 axes and using the interrupt (pin 1) with the stream to fifo setting. I am using the I2c (400kbps) and ODR is 100 hz. When the interrupt trips the "threshold exceeding" sample always appear near the end of the fifo dump. This is listed in the manual as the correct behavior.However, my question is the following: Is there a way to configure the device so the sample that exceeds the threshold appears in the "middle" of the fifo dump?. In that way, I can have the data before and after the threshold event. Thanks DerrickEz

I have performed the self-test on LSM6DSL and observed that it was noted the thresholds mentioned in the datasheet I want to know how these values of  90mg > xxx < 170mg  & 150 dps> xxx <700dps measured?Why does the acceleration and gyro change when put in self test mode?   

Hi all, I'm trying to get some accurate orientation data from the accelerometer and gyroscopic capabilities of the LSM6DSV16X, but am getting some different data from different GUI software. The Unicleo-GUI paired with the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO (SensorTile.box PRO) when programmed through the Algo-Builder will give a gravity vector reading and Euler Angle readings which are susceptible to linear acceleration (something independent of 3D orientation). The Sensor Fusion display would also move in response to linear acceleration on a plane even though there was no change in orientation. The Unico-GUI on the other hand, when paired with the STEVAL-MK1109V3 board mounted with the STEVAL-MKI227KA (carrying the LSM6DSV16X), did not present the same unwanted response to linear acceleration and provided a clear and clean independent representation with little irregularities in the Sensor Fusion visualization either. Hi,I am using steval MKI160V1 coupled with pybv1.0 under microphyton (spi speed 525000bits/s).I'd like to get every samples from gyro and accel at 1666 hertz speed using interruption.I have configured lsm6ds3( whoami = 69h) to do so, but while I am flushing every samples reading fifo_status1 n 2 registers to know the entire of unread words in fifo, there sometimes a "rebound like" of interruption coming next to the previous one !Why is the documentation saying (page 31/112 5.4.3. continuous mode) that it is possible to route FIFO_STATUS2 (3Bh) (FTH) to the INT1 pin by writing in register INT1_CTRL (0Dh) (INT1_FTH) = ‘1FIFO_STATUS2 is only one byte long while FTH can contain size of 2^12 words of data ?I am not sure of the correct use of FTH neither interruption for this project ?To have a better look at what appends I have reduced odr to 26hertz...Thx for your help   I have set INT2 to be active if Fifo is full.When Py Board line rise the irq then I decide to r

Hello,I've been working on editing in expert Mode the MEMS Sensor Fusion function, and I've added to the Bluetooth streaming also the USB streaming. In this way thank to Tera Term I'm able to read not only quaternions but also accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer measurements. Instead via Bluetooth I can only view quaternions. My ultimate goal is to transmit all three measurements (acceleration, gyroscope, magnetometer) as well as the precomputed quaternions via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). This data have to reach a mobile app. Could someone please provide guidance on how to achieve this?Thank you very much for your assistance.Best regards, Claudio

Hi,There is a typo in in the datasheet of the ILPS22QS datasheet: DS13431 - Rev 3.Table 19 on page 32 states that default value of CTRL_REG2 is 00h.But on page 39, chapter 9.7 CTRL_REG2 bit EN_LPFP has a default value of 1 resulting in 10h  I hope that the page 39 is correct, rather than table 19...Thanks in advance to confirm.Romuald

Hi, I'm developing a project with a NUCLEO-WB55RG and I need to to communicate with a STEVAL-MKI197V1. I'm using the CUBE IDE v1.13.1 and the X-CUBE-MEMS1 v10.0.0. But I'm having a problem when trying to initiate the library calling LSM6DSOX_Init function the program gives me a Hard Fault. I'm trying to use a SPI to communicate with the module.Is there any examples I can use as guide?

VDD is connected to VDD_IO and power is always connected to 3V battery (even when device is turned off). We are using SPI-communication and reading/setting registers works fine. It is just that I can't achieve anything near 1uAmp power down mode current consumption as stated by the datasheet even if setting PM0-PM2 to 0 (i.e. register 0x20 to 0x07) to power down the unit. The unit keeps consuming around 50uAmps.Any ideas what might be missing here? thanksOlov#h3lis200dl-power-down-mode

Hi,I have designed a circuit with the LSM6SDOX.It is operating via the I2C BUS and the Gyroscope and Accelerometer are sending data. I have also managed to configure Single and Double Tap detection, however it is the tap detection where I have an issue.When I single tap, it works and triggers INT1 on the Microcontroller, when I double tap, it also works and triggers INT2, however the double tap also triggers the single tap at the same time.The registers are configured as follows in the function below.Please see a screen capture from my Oscilloscope attached. Yellow is the Single Tap, while Blue is the Double Tap. Hi, I would like to ask for some clarification about LSM6DSO's sensor hub features.1. I am considering mode 2 to connect two sensors to LSM6DSO and LSM6DSO will communicate with MCU in i2c interface. In this case, when connecting two sensors, say LI2MDL and LPS22DF, to LSM6DSO,  would I connect them to LSM6DSO's MSDA and MSCL in typical i2c bus connection with corresponding optional resistors, if needed? 2. I am aware that max ODR of slave sensors connected to LSM6DSO when using mode 2 for sensor hub is 104 Hz. Then if I set LPS22DF's ODR to 100 Hz, would the ODR of LPS22DF stay as 100 Hz? If there is anything I am mistaken about, please do correct me.Thanks,

 I run into some technical challenges during the integration process of STEVAL-MKI193V1 with the nrf52-dk development kit. Brief Overview of the Setup:· STEVAL-MKI193V1 is powered with a 3.3V supply for VDD, VDDIO, and CS pins.· CS pin is connected to a 3.3V supply· SDx and SCx pins are grounded.· SDA and SCL pins use a 5k ohm pull-up resistor to 3.3V.· All other pins are currently unconnected.Issues Faced:1. After connecting the sensor to the nrf52-dk development kit and subsequently to a computer via USB, we are unable to detect the sensor or receive any data from it.2. At times, the program crashes and stops immediately, which means the terminal stops outputting any information, after or during the TWI initialization function.The nrf52-dk works with other sensors which means the problem should be on STEVAL-MKI193V1.Concerning the software, I am using Segger Embedded Studio.
