Hello,I am evaluating the STMicroelectronics IIS2MDC magnetometer and measuring its supply current using a Joulescope. Hi Team,We have designed and manufactured several thousand PCBs that include the LIS2MDL (LGA‑12L) sensor. All boards are functioning correctly from an operational standpoint. However, because our devices run on battery power, load current is critical.We have observed a leakage current at the LIS2MDL power supply input, ranging from approximately 10 µA to 1500 µA. We are currently unable to determine whether the cause is related to the assembly process or the component itself.Notably, when we clean under IC to remove flux residues, the leakage current decreases significantly. While this confirms that contamination is influencing the issue, manually cleaning every board is not a feasible solution for our production scale.Could you please advise on possible root causes or provide recommendations to prevent this leakage issue without requiring manual cleaning for each unit?Your support would be greatly appreciated. 

I am using the STM32G474 in STM32CubeIDE with the built-in CubeMx environment. MX_DAC1_Init() to setup the DAC1_Ch1. Internal VREF+ is 2.9V. When it is buffered DAC, I get output very close to 2.9V at max(4095). However if i switch to unbuffered mode, the output is only 1.4+V(about half of 2.9V) at max setting of 4095. There was no mention in the reference manual RM0440 about the change in gain for buffered or unbuffered DAC. Is this normal?

Hello guys,I am using the STEVAL-MKPRO BOX, i want to use MLC with this box. For that i tried to log data(Accelerometer data) with BLE Sensor application. The data is stored inside the micro SD . I connected the SD card to my computer and saw that  it was a .dat file. I tried to convert it into a format which is compatible with ST Mems studio with stdatalog_to_unico.py in the stdatalog-pysdk but it is not working  .I also tried using the nb_stdatalog_converters.ipynb under how_to_notebooks section but literally only the cell with conversion to unico was not working, all the other cells were working. What can i do ?Thank you in advance

  Hi,  I am currently reviewing the use of the STPM066S. According to the documentation, it seems that one-time programming is required before voltage output is enabled. As I understand it, once the OTP region is written, the change is irreversible. I have ordered the STPM066S evaluation board and some spare ICs. My First question is: after programming and testing the initial settings, if I want to change the settings and test again, do I need to replace the IC with a new one each time? Or is there any way to reprogram or modify the OTP settings after the initial programming?   Second question, There is a RSV TM bit in SPI MOSI data frame( DI[22] : Test Mode Flag). What is it? What can i test with this bit? Can i test OTP area with this bit?   Last question,  There is a section labeled "(programming)" under the OTP reg. Could you please clarify what this means?  

 Can somebody tell me whether I am, or not, powering this STM32H725RG in the right way?As far as I know, after reading several times the specs, the 68 pin package doesn't have LDO (SMPS only).I've built my first board this way and the MCU got burnt. Thanks.

Hi everyone,We’ve been using the XCUBE-SBSFU bootloader in our industrial-grade project and recently noticed that SBSFU is now labeled as a legacy bootloader. It seems the new recommended bootloader is based on MCUBoot. Additionally, I’ve come across information on STiRoT, which implements a root of trust similar to what SBSFU legacy already offers.This has left us with a few questions, and we’d greatly appreciate any clarification:Why has SBSFU been marked as legacy and replaced? Were there specific limitations or issues with SBSFU that led to this change?How do we transition to MCUBoot? The MCUBoot website mentions it doesn’t currently support STM32 controllers, and the ST wiki says support is “coming soon.”What role does STiRoT play? It seems similar to SBSFU legacy but is relatively new. Is it a better option? I ended up bricking my devkit while attempting the regression step. My ST provisioning integrity status:0xf5f5f5f5I have another dev kit available for testing, but I haven't been able to find an H573xx example that uses the HAL code base. If anyone can point me to a HAL-based example for the STM32H573 series implementing JTAG protection. Many Thanks!

Hi there, I want to use the AS5048A SPI encoder with the STM32 Motor Control Work bench SDK to precisely control a 3 phase GL30 KV290 Motor. I noticed STM motor control work bench only supports quadrature encoders and I can apparently use custom code to make an absolute encoder work. Is there any information about how to do this?

For JTAG I am using stellar link debugger, and I have to connect this debugger with microcontroller which is powered with other power supply, how to isolate or connect these connections, any digital isolator is suggested for this ?

Dear Sir/Madam,I am currently using a Nucleo development board to perform trials with the VL53L4CD ToF sensor.I have a question regarding the sensor’s performance in the near field range of approximately 1 to 15 cm. During testing, I positioned a matte white reference object at around 10 cm. In the data log files, I frequently observe NaN values in the measurements. However, in the GUI, a distance value is always displayed, which may possibly be interpolated.I have attached a figure from my data log showing the measurements with the reference object at approximately 10 cm.- Is this a known issue? Additionally, are there recommended methods or configuration settings to improve data quality at short distances?- What would be considered a proper or expected signal rate for this sensor? Hello,we are using VL6180X and VL53L4CD sensors in an outdoor setup and we have issues with sunlight (even reflected light).To improve sunlight rejection, we added Thorlabs bandpass filters:FBH850-10 for VL6180X (850 nm)FBH940-10 for VL53L4CD (940 nm)Both filters are 2 mm thick.The filter is placed ~1 mm in front of the sensor window.We have four identical sensors per type; only one has the filter.Observations:Sensors without filter measure correctly (e.g. 143 mm → 143 mm, 70 mm → 70 mm).The sensor with the filter almost always reports a short distance (~20–30 mm).Even when the real target distance changes significantly, the filtered sensor reading remains almost constant.This looks like strong optical crosstalk rather than noise.Questions:Is a 2 mm interference filter likely to introduce severe crosstalk?Could the 1 mm air gap be the main cause?Would a much thinner IR-pass filter be more appropriate?Can the crosstalk calibration compensate for this configuration?Any guidance on proper

I am struggling to wakeup STM32N6570-DK from standby mode with user button (WKUP3).I created an isolated CMake + VSCode test project and share it in zip file. Based on latest CubeMX 6.17.0 and STM32N6 HAL 1.3.0. There is application and FSBL but I only use FSBL and do not jump into Application.  Hi everyone,I’ve successfully created and imported a CMake-based project for the STM32F777NIH in STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. The project builds and compiles without any issues.However, the IDE cannot properly resolve headers, some macros, variables, and some struct definitions. To fix this, I enabled:set(CMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS TRUE)in my top-level CMakeLists.txt, which correctly generates a compile_commands.json.In CubeIDE, I also enabled C/C++ General → Preprocessor Include Paths, Macros etc. → Providers → Compilation Database Parser, and pointed it to the generated compile_commands.json (AN5952).But CubeIDE shows:Invalid build parserAnd the error log contains:“Compilation database parser does not have a build command parser configured.”So it seems CubeIDE refuses to use the compilation database to resolve include paths, even though the file exists and is valid.Is there any known workaround to allow STM32CubeIDE to consume compile_commands.json for indexing?Or any other reliable
