STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hi, everyone.I cut the stlink board from my Nucleo-F722ZE board.And I supplied 5V power through E5V of CN11 And JP3 was set to E5V.I confirmed that the PWR LED was on.But the embedded program did not run.I confirmed that this Nucleo-F722ZE board receives MCO input from the STlink board. But now there is no stlink board on my Nucleo.So, I decided to use the HSI clock rather than the HSE clock.I set "HSE not used" according to the manual. - SB148 and SB163 ON-SB112 and SB149(MCO) OFF-SB8 and SB9 removed And  I enabled HSI in cubeIDE's clock setting. My embedded program on my nucleo runs. But it stops at HAL_Delay().What part is the problem?Is the way I did it correct?

I have been trying to run the IOT_HTTP_WebServer Demo on the B-U585I-IOT02A board, and the program seems to get stuck in an infinite loop. It will enter the app_entry() function and then reach the the line that contains if (webserver_wifi_connect() != WEBSERVER_OK), which then calls a bunch of other functions. It ends up in a function called noos_sem_wait() in the file mx_rtos_abs.c and it seems to loop infinitely. I am not sure how to debug this and any help would be appreciated.

When programming STM32H745i with St-link v2 I notice that the display does not turn on, only LD2 flashes red and can not load the code giving the following message:stmcubeide v1.16.0 upgraded stlink v2 without problems and recognizes it well.  In the schematic I did not seem to see any jumper that has to do with the power supply of the st-link.Did I miss to do something besides connecting (SWDIO,GND,SWCLK,3.3V)?I even tried to power it by USB and connect the st-link v2 without the 3.3V but it didn't work either.

I'm using a STM32F469i- discovery board for developing a prototype & would like to use the Audio DAC feature in it and it is given in the datasheet that one set of pins (15 & 16 in CN12). I checked this discovery board's and also the controller's datasheet but were unable to find any information regarding the resistance of the speaker that can be connected to the pins. Will this pins(15,16 in CN12) be able to comfortably drive a 8 ohm speaker, having watt-rating less than 1 W? Would love to get some insights on this   Cheers, Have a great day

Has anyone here written a library for this module which you could share? The design is rather  convoluted using a port expander across the I2C bus, with the Hitachi controller in 4-bit mode. I could reverse engineer this, but would prefer not to expend the effort if it has been done already.https://www.adafruit.com/product/716

on my mks monster8 v2 3d printer control board using stm32f407ve chip it was damaged specifically gnd pin and vcc pin are connected, i bought another chip and soldered it to the board, however when plugging in usb it does not recognize com port, i tried connecting with my stlink v2 it still displays the necessary parameters and can read and write, i loaded blink led program and it works however when loading printer firmware specifically marlin it does not work and usb connected to computer does not recognize com port

Hello,I am implementing UART through the NUCLEO-L073RZ board, I have connected PA2 and PA3 pin of the board to the  FTDI and what I see on the Tera Term is ATE=0, not what I am sending, can anyone tell how to resolve the issue. 

Trying to do this.Whilst it can connect using the serial port, nothing come out.  I suspect is that whenever I try to recycle the power (seems no other way to activate the firmware), the /dev/cu* is lost.  Hence, whilst this command is ok after the recycle it is too late for the microcontroller ... The program function all good like I2C etc. as my I2C monitor can be displayed.  Just no serial. screen /dev/cu.usbmodem11303 115200 -L   warning message as below indicating some issue.   Target is not responding, retrying... I'm displaying weather data in TouchGFX. The weather data is in JSON format and comes from main.c and must be copied over to Model.cpp which decodes the weather data. To then be displayed using Screen1View.cpp. But I cannot get any data to appear on the display. It is as if Temperature and Humidity are not written to float temperature and int humidity in Model.hpp. Any help is appreciated. Hello, I generated a project for STM32U5A9J-DK with STM32CubeIDE (v1.16.0). It doesn’t include the OctalFlash test code. So, I used the test codes in chapter "Octo-SPI FLASH in Regular-command protocol example" of attached AN5050.The mounted OctalFlash is MX25UM51245G. With the program, the data output was shifted by one byte as below.After I use the HAL_OSPI_DELAY_BLOCK, the pass rate becomes higher but still fails. Hi there.I want to download my bin file to one of my customized board ( target STM32G030F6P6).The problem is the debugger pin CN1 of Hardware board MB1441 has 5V input but my one has 2.8 V in debug connector.Kindly recommend a solution for voltage level shifting.And also share Hardware board MB1441 schematic.   BRHASAN

Hello,I am currently developing on an STM32H743. I have a bootloader and an application that I want to load into the internal flash memory of the microcontroller. The bootloader is written successfully, but the application fails to load.Instead of writing the application, the microcontroller writes in a loop over all sectors with the pattern FC1FE0FFFC1FE0FF. The same behavior occurs when I attempt to update the clock configuration.Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or could offer guidance on what might be causing this problem? Any help would be appreciated.Thank you!

 Hi,I have Nucleo-F767zi . When I give it an external power source through Vin. It doesn't always wake up. The board works if I reset it.The graphic of my power supply; It arrives 9V at 400 mili seconds. The curve is almost linear.(No glitch on the wave.) There is no issue if I use USB.I switched up my external power sources. However, the outcomes remain the same.Is there a recommendation? Thanks

 When I connect my STM32F401RE board to the PC via USB cable, a FAIL.txt file appears with the message 'The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU.' I tried following the tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib0KMuv6cxA&t=192s, but I don't have the MDK-ARM software (I use CubeIDE or CubeMX). None of the discussions in this community have helped.I also followed these steps https://embetronicx.com/tutorials/microcontrollers/stm32/fixed-the-interface-firmware-failed-to-reset-halt-the-target-mcu-stm32/ but the problem persists (I can see the serial number in STM32CubeProgrammer).

Hello, Looking for a small size STM development board with USB and crypto functionality support

I'm using the i2c on a nucleo stm32h723 board. I'm using pins PB8 and PB9 on the board. I have the pins connected to a scope. I notice that when I have the internal pullups of the board on the voltage is at 3.5V and if I dont use the internal pullup, then the voltage is at 3.5V then drops to 3.3V. Was wondering if the pins are broken or if the jumpers on the board are inncorrect since the i2c line should be at 3.3V even with internall pullup.

Hello,I have a new STEVAL-IDP004V2, and I recently downloaded both the ST-LINK Utility and the STM32CubeProgrammer.  I'm going through AN5041 Rev 5, page 22 steps which mention the board is to be programmed with the ST-LINK Utility. I started trying STM32CubeProgrammer as ST-LINK Utility is not recommended for new designs, but I kept getting read errors after the system was trying to program option bytes: "Error: Data read failed".  The option bytes were set correctly, to AA=level 0.I decided to try the ST-LINK Utility, set the option bytes to level 0, and no problem, no programming errors.I then try to program with STM32CubeProgrammer, and after using ST-LINK, no problem, no programming errors.What's the difference?  Does STM32CubeProgrammer have a bug?  Is it unable to set the option bytes?My versions are:STM32CubeProgrammer Win64 v2.17.0STM32 ST-Link Utility v4.6.0O/S: Windows 10 ProProgrammer: ST-LINK/V2Board: STEVAL-IDP004V2A,  Trace code: XD109912, B

I am trying to design my own board using the STM32H723ZGT and using the nucleo schematic as a guide. I believed 100nf was typical for the VDD pin bypass capacitors however there is one pin(pin 62) with a 4.7uf capacitor instead. I understand the VBAT and VDDA pins having a different values but why is the C60 bypass capacitor this much bigger bigger? thankyou

Hi, I have built an RC5 IR remote transmitter that almost works on a NUCLEO-L412RB-P, with modifications to the files found in x-cube-irremote. This unfortunately does not have an STM32L4 example.The bit I am having trouble with is the output polarity on the IR_OUT Pin, PB9. When there is no code transmission the pin is constantly high and gets pulled down to send the code. This results in the LED being on when it should be off. The code sent looks OK on a scope (except for the high idle level) and the test receiver I have decodes it correctly, but the current draw be unnecessarily high.What sets the polarity of the output? I have experimented with CH Polarity in CUBEMX and sConfigOC.OCPolarity and sConfigOC.OCNPolarity in rc5_encode.c with no luck.CUBEMX sets PB9  as IR_OUT when IRTIM is configured. In GPIO Settings the GPIO output level is set at n/a is that normal?Can I pointed to some more in depth documentation on the IRTIM than: AN3174, AN4834, DM00271524. These do

Regarding FMC NOR Flash, I recently posted about creating my own external loader for the MT28EW01GABA 1Gb NOR Flash on an H753 custom board. Experts advised me to first create a proper BSP (Board Support Package) program to handle read, write, and erase operations, so I resumed work on this after completing the UI design. I used the example provided in C:\Users\abbab\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.2\Projects\STM32H743I-EVAL\Examples\FMC\FMC_NOR.When running this example, I was able to see the manufacturer ID and Device ID 1&3 alone in the memory browser. However, I need guidance on how to properly enable and verify read, write, and erase operations for the NOR Flash. Could you please guide me on how to check if these functions are working correctly? is this hal library itself enough for bsp and create own loader. Best regards,mbed_engr

Hi.I did "HSE on-board oscillator from X3 crystal (not provided)" on um1974-stm32.But stlink doesn't recognize my board. Why?I used an ats49 8Mhz 18pF crystal since there is no recommended crystal.
