Hello Friends,Most STM32 based Evolution / Development Board has Crystal 32.768 Khz and Boot switch connected. In my Custom design board , I do not need RTC Function and Bootloader to load.8 Mhz Crystal is used for Master Clock. Can I remove 32.768 khz Crystal and Bootloader Switch from Boot0 pin ?What should be default level maintain on these pins after removing both ?

Hello everyone,I have designed a custom PCB using STM32F103RBT6 and I’m facing a serious issue:The MCU is not getting detected by the programmer.Symptom:When connecting via SWDIO, SWCLK, 3.3 V, and GND, both STM32CubeProgrammer and ST‑Link Utility fail to detect the target.Power rails are verified: 3.3 V present at VDD pins, proper decoupling capacitors placed close to supply pins.No shorts observed on the board.Important hardware details:Boot0 pin (on my design) is directly tied to GND by mistake – I’m wondering if this could block programming or reset behavior.NRST pin has a 10 kΩ pull‑up to 3.3 V as recommended.BOOT0 is pulled low (GND) on the board without Resistor, any problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!schematic snippet attached. Hi all,I am working on a project involving reading from the external AD7768. I've tested to get data out of it using and EXTI and Interrupt based SPI receives, but that was too slow to capture the message, so I'm trying to get it to work with DMA.The problem is, I can't get DMA to work at all! The current set up is SPI1 as full duplex master and SPI2 as full duplex slave, both CPOL and CPHA = 0. Hello, We have designed custom board using STM32F412VGH6 and have implemented a custom bootloader to support firmware upgrade.A common debug UART is shared between the bootloader and application firmware. The UART pins are configured as follows:->TX: PC6->RX: PC7Mode: Alternate Function Push-PullPull configuration: No Pull (Initially)Issue Observed below:1. When UART pins are configured with an internal pull-up, the bootloader successfully jumps to the application.2. When No Pull configuration is used, only the bootloader runs, and it does not jump to the application.3. When No Pull configuration is used and Deinitalizing the peripherals (UART) before jumping to the application, the bootloader successfully jumps to the application.Note: No interrupts are enabled by bootloader code explicitly.Question:Is there any known issue or recommendation regarding UART RX pin state during the bootloader-to-application transition?Does STM32F412 expect the RX line to be in a defined state

I am trying to make a very simple program that will initialize Si4703 and read data out of it, the manufacturer ID or something.And in the datasheet, it says to initialize the chip, I need to have SDIO turned low on the rising edge of the RST pin.Si4702/03-C19 (page 19) So the problem is that I can't pull SDIO low because in the code, the SDA pin is initialized as I2C and not as a GPIO set in the configurator. In the Arduino Library, the SDA is set as output, then written low, and then I2C is initialized. Would something like that work in CubeIDE? I am new to programming embedded chips, and I want to know how I can solve this problem.Using the blackpill board with STM32F411C6EU and the Si4703 Tuner Board

Hello, I have purchased and used the NUCLEO-F303RE board. I am trying to control the LED (PA5) using bit-banding. With reference to the reference manual, I confirmed that the address of GPIOA starts from 0x48000000. Then, I found and read the PM0214 document, which seems to say that only Peripheral in the area of 0x40000000-0x400FFFFF can be controlled. So you are saying that my f303re board can't control gpio using bit_banding? And if so, how can I control it directly? Hi all,I have two ADC channels (channel 1 and channel 3), and I configured them in multi-channel interrupt mode. The cubeMx ADC settings is shown in image below:Continuous Convertion mode : EnabledEnd of Conversion Selection: End of single convertion   However, when the interrupt is triggered and I read both channel values, the readings are incorrect. I have an STM32F401 nucleo board and it used to work fine but now after a minute of connecting it with usb, the LD1 suddenly dims to very low light like pin on float. Before that it works fine, I can program it, debug it.

Hello, I am developing a electronic card that is supposed to be used in an automated test bench. I'm using an STM32G474 to control the card. I have already created one iteration of the card but I realised I made a mistake.I wanted to use the bootloader to program the card but realised far too late that I didn't install it properly and cannot use it. Plus I'm unable to debug with it.I now want to replace this system but I can't figure out what to use and how to route it.I think I could use STlink but I can't seem to figure out how it works and how to route it on the STM.Could anyone help me figure out this ?Thank you very much.

Hello everyone,I’ve integrated USBX configured as a Mass Storage Class (MSC) device into my project, which uses the STM32H743BITx MCU. The project compiles successfully, and the system detects when a USB device is connected. However, enumeration fails.I’m wondering if this issue could be related to the USB type or the clock configuration. I’ve read that many USB problems stem from clock accuracy.I’m currently using the internal clock source, specifically the 48 MHz HSI48 oscillator for USB. Is this oscillator accurate enough for USB operations, or is it preferable to use a PLL-generated 48 MHz clock? Unfortunately, I don’t have an external crystal available.When I try to configure the USB clock using a PLL (e.g., PLLQ) with HSI, I encounter the following error in CubeMX:“PLL Mux should have HSE as input”Also, I’m following the same layout as the schematic of the Discovery board. The FDCAN module generates timestamps for sent and received messages, and you can configure it to use TIM3 as the source. Unfortunately, the documentation is rather thin, so I am left with a few questions:Do TIM3 and FDCAN need to run from the same clock or are they synchronized?What triggers the timestamp? I suspect this is the SOF bit, and it is sampled once every normal time quantum, so that the trigger resolution is one time quantumOne probably should not use the timer overflow flag in the CAN module when using TIM3, but check directly in the timer?Is there a recommended sequence to get FDCAN time quanta and TIM3 aligned, or should we just run TIM3 with a higher frequency?

Hi all,I am using a mass-produced PCB board for a project, the chip model is STM32F429BIT6. The PA1 pin is used as ADC1-IN1 for access to the sensor.However, I found a strange phenomenon that after configuring the ADC, the initial reading of the pin was a value such as 4092. But that's not to say that ADC doesn't work, because the number varies, sometimes it's 4089, sometimes it's 4091, it changes. Everything measured with this pin is 4092, but GND value is correct, almost single digits.I found the problem, but I don't know what's causing it. After measuring this pin with a multimeter, it is itself with 3.3v voltage, even if it is configured as `GPIO_MODE_ANALOG` in the code, changing `GPIO_InitStruct.Pull` to pull up or pull down, still does not work.At first I thought it was a problem with my code configuration, because I modified it based on someone else's code, but I used 'CubeMX' to create a new blank project and configure the PA1 pin, only read the ADC value without adding additi

Hi, I'm trying to initialize SDADC of my STM32F373CCT6 chip based on the Standard Peripherial Library. The program can be compiled with no errors but doesn't work after I uploaded it to the chip. I used a LED program to test it and found that the initializing function got stucked at the statement of waiting for calibration to complete. I used a self designed board. The intializing function and the main function of my program, as well as the schematic diagram of my board is attached. I am using the H743 microcontroller and am looking for some more information about the GPIO EXTI controller.Specifically, how long does a signal need to be held on a GPIO in order for the EXTI to detect a rising or falling edge?I notice in the timer peripherals, you can set different filters on the input using the ETF (External trigger filter) bits in the TIMx_SMCR (TIMx slave mode control register).  This way you can decrease the sampling frequency and require multiple samples at a specific polarity before detecting a rising/falling edge.However there is no information like that for the GPIO EXTI detection.  What I want to know is what is the sampling rate at which the microcontroller samples the GPIO when placed in EXTI mode?  And is it the first sample that crosses the high/low input polarity (~1V for low, ~2.3V for high @3.3V) or do several samples in a sequence need to be detected?
