Hello,I use STM32F767ZI (on a board NUCLEO-F767ZI) , CubeIDE, HAL driver and I try to communicate with an accelerometer (LIS2DW12 on the board SEN0405) with SPI interface. I'll try to give the more details possible so that you can help me a maximum.To test the communication between my microcontroller and my accelerometer, I try to read the WHO_AM_I register of the LIS2DW12. This register is a read-only register. Its value is fixed at 44h. Unfortunately I can't read this value but I read FFh. First of all, so that you can confirm that I haven't made an error of connection, here's how I connected my accelerometer to my nucleo-board :

RM0455 rev. 3 doesn't mention the OCTOSPI*M* clock enable at all. As OCTOSPIM is on AHB, this bit should be in one of RCC_AHB1ENR, ..., RCC_AHB4ENR registers.On the other hand, there is a mysterious IOMNGREN bit in RCC_AHB3ENR, and this IOMNGR is not mentionend anywhere else.Apparently IOMNGREN is in fact OCTOSPIM clock enable, as after setting it OCTOSPIM registers become available at 0x5200B40X as expected.The very same applies to IOMNGRRST in RCC_AHB3RSTR as well.

Good evening everyone, I'm trying to evaluate the duration of a square wave using input capture of the timer, by measuring the time between the rising and falling edges. I wanted to understand what is the maximum frequency at which I can perform this operation with the timers in the STM32F407 microcontroller. I'm having trouble understanding it clearly from the datasheet. Do you have any advice?

Had been able to connect to connect to the STM32H563 chip using the STMCubeProgrammer.  However after a full chip erase was performed was no longer able to connect.  The following message popup appears when trying to connect:“Cannot connect to access port1!. If you are trying to connect to a device with TrusZone enabled please try to connect with HotPlug mode. If you are trying to connect to H5 device and your target is already locked with password or certificate, please open your device using Debug Authentication."Other than the full flash erase, no other operation was performed, no flash code had been changed, etc.  The board was just out of the box working until the flash erase operation was performed.

A question of compehension:I cannot find any of the OCTOSPIM registers - neither in STM32CubeMX, nor in the register list, read by STM32CubeProgrammer. Am I right, that's because in our chip, there's only one OCTOSPIM port?(I would appreciate, if that was mentioned in the reference manual, that that whole section "OCTOSPI I/O manager (OCTOSPIM)" has no relevance for certain chip subtypes, with a reference to the data sheet.)But then I ask: Why do I still have the OCTOSPI2 registers? Because "In the default out-of-reset configuration, all the OCTOSPI1 and OCTOSPI2 signals are mapped, respectively, on Port 1 and on Port 2." (reference manual). And since I cannot change that mapping, and since I have no OCTOSPIM2 port, what's the point in the OCTOSPI2 registers then?Did I misunderstand / miss something?

One of my friends noticed, that ST NRND'd not only the STM8, but also the whole STM32L1xx family.However, in contrast to STM8, the 'L1 are under the 10-year commitment program, so they should continue to be available in the next 9 years. JW

In the context of using the HAL_ADC_Start_IT() function provided by the HAL library, I want to inquire about the possibility of enabling ADC interrupts without simultaneously starting ADC conversion of regular channels. The function description states that HAL_ADC_Start_IT() "enables the interrupt and starts ADC conversion of regular channels." However, I'm interested in only enabling the interrupt without initiating the conversion process.Is there a way to achieve this functionality using the HAL library or perhaps through a workaround? Hello,I am programming an STM32WB55CGU6 on custom PCB. I'm using the LPUART1 peripheral according to the datasheet and reference manual, but at the transmitter pin (PA2) I'm not seeing any traffic. It's just stable at about 3.3V. There is a led at PC15 and it is blinking, so the program is not getting stuck anywhere. What is wrong with the LPUART? Can't find any answers in the documentation.. I'm a beginner so bear with me:I am making a calculator with a STM32 Blue Pill and would like to create a PCB so that the calculator can be decently compact. I am unclear on some things though. Is it normal to place the entire Blue Pill in a PCB design? I couldn't find a footprint for it in KiCAD, however I did find the footprint for just the chip itself (the STM32F103C8T6). This leads me to believe it would be unusual to use the Blue Pill in this way... however if I use just the chip, how would I upload my code to it? And, given how small it is, how would I ever be able to solder it properly to the PCB? I'm just a little unclear on what the normal thing to do is, and also how to do it. Any guidance is much appreciated!

If i am using only one STM32F107RB module there is no problem but when i connect two modules to two different systems via modscan32, one of the module responds properly and the other module does not responds, and after some time the other modules responds properly but the first module hangs up. This process continuous every time... I want to use fastest STM32H7R3 at 600MHz clock.I need to use 60Mbytes/s short term DMA transfer from GPIO data 8-bit bus to RAM (about 1kbytes stream), driven from external clock, with up/down external clock slope (30MHz external clock with upslope /down data trigger)Is it possible to achive such transfer ? I have a strange problem. I have a global uint32_t variable that counts up in the main loop and every 100 ms it gets reset in a timer-ISR. This works, but sometimes it does not.Here is the value of the variable MainCounter read out by the debugger:The ISR is definitely called every time as the toggling variable test shows. Also inside the ISR MainCounter really is zero, I checked. But sometimes this zero does not "reach" the main loop.Please help, I have absolutely no idea how this is even possible.

Hi,I want to use PB3 an PB4 pins as SPI1. When i use st-link and debug my code, it works. but when i plug-off st-link it seems that mcu can not boot. I trying to program a nucleo-144 L496GZ-P board which has been split from the st-link. I've connected the SWD pins as instructed in the user manual (SWD1 -> 3v3, SWD2 -> SWCLK (CN11 P15), SWD3 -> ground, SWD4 -> SWDIO (CN11 P13), SWD5 -> NRST (CN11 P14)). Additionally, I am trying to use the J1 pins for power by connecting them to 3v3 and ground. When connected to a laptop I am able to view the contents of the connected microcontroller and LD6 is on (green) (indicating 5v power availability) and LD8 is green and LD3 is red. I've built a new prototype using the STM32U575C, and provisioned two program/debug connectors, a fine pitch Samtec header and 0,1" pitch six pin header, I've used both before on STM32F4.I've tried accessing the processor using both headers, an STLINK-V3SET and and old F4 Nucleo.Neither can access the processor.Is there something fundamentally different in the U5 parts that I've missed?I've attached the schematic of my processor sheet.

The project code for my Nucleo-H563ZI sent an I3C Broadcast sequence for dynamic addressing. I can see the Broad cast sequence on the analyzer. There currently is NO I3C Target on to answer, yet the analyzer does show a NACK after RnW(1). I believe the NACK is coming from the project code somewhere because it is not coming from the target. However, my question is I have tried several ways of trying to change the error and walk it backwards to find out who is calling the Error_Handler() with no success. I am tired of putting in printf() type debug lines in the project code. Does anyone have some ideas that I can use to find out what code pieces is invoking the Error_Handler()?? Is there any software that can be run to monitor the project on STM32CubeIDE and trace back through the stack to see where it's coming from? Built in software even?

everything is working, downloads and runs, I am still not sure it the external QSPI works.I can write and read from QSPI, checked but I am not sure if it works as external flash to load the code and run from it.I chose to put main.c in external flash (is this the way you do ?)

Hi everyone,As commented in the title, in our system we have two ways of working. At low speed (120MHz) and at high speed (480MHz). When reading the ADC3 (temperature sensor) depending on the mode (low or high speed) I get different values. When I work at low speed I can read values around 25º~30º (OK values) but when I read at high speed my values go around 40º~45º.My config:I'm using the ADC3 as a temperature sensor with a clock preescaler of SYNC_DIV4 which I understand that I'm taking the sample frequency from AHB.I have seen that if I use the same SYNC but with another DIV(1 or 2) I obtain wrong values when usign low speed very similar like when working at high speed. But when using ASYNC option values always remain equal, for low speed OK but high speed Wrong.In clock configuration I have configured the PLL2P to work with the ADC at 5,12Mhz. I attach here my configs:My ADC configuration:
