Hello, I just designed an electronic card using the STM32G474QET6TR. Just a day before receiving the card I realised I had made a mistake on the routing. I want to use SPI2 to driver 2 MAX4896ETP+ that are daisy chained.As per the MAX datasheet, to do this you're supposed to connect as follows : But I realised while doing the pin allocation on the ioc file of my new STM32CubeIDE project that I actually messed up on my routing. I inverted the SPI2_SCK and the SPÏ2_MISO.SO I'm left with:- PB13 connected to the second MAX DOUT- PB14 connected to the both MAXs SCLKWHen it should be the otherway arround.

According to erratum 2.22.10 of STM32H562xx/563xx/573xx in RMII 10MHz mode packets should be accepted when both dribble and CRC error is flagged. According to Reference Manual RM0481 Rev4 Table 692 dribble bit is valid in MII mode only. Pls. clarify   

Hello, I'm trying to use the repeat counter of the 2D GPDMA peripheral. However, when I configure this with CubeMX and run it, I can see that the BRC register is always at zero, while the BNDT register is set to the correct value. I've stepped through the initialization code and the node does have the correct parameters, they just don't get configured into the ADC on the HAL_DMAEx_List_Start_IT call in HAL_ADC_Start_DMA. I have also tried to configure it using linked list mode with the same parameters, which resulted in the same behaviour. The first "block" gets copied properly, it just never uses the repeat counter, remaining at the first block.I know the ADC code is working fine since it runs fine when using non-2d addressing.The Node Config that is retrieved in the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA call

Hello, Datasheet DS14791 Rev 4 has a note on page 161 stating that PCB and pin capacitance for the OSC_IN/OSC_OUT Interface can be assumed as 4 pF combined.I qoute: "For CL1 and CL2, it is recommended to use high-quality external ceramic capacitors,designed for high-frequency applications, and selected to match the requirements of thecrystal or resonator (see Figure 20). CL1 and CL2 are usually the same size. The crystalmanufacturer typically specifies a load capacitance, which is the series combination of CL1and CL2. Hi,Has anyone used the STM32H750B-DK on-board eMMC, 4GB memory.I have been unable to find an example and it is a big job to write something from scratch.I am assuming that it would use the SDMMC1 peripheral in MMC 8 Bit mode and that you would need to port fatFs to it.I cannot find any detailed data sheet on the THGBMTG5D1LBAIL / THGBMDG5D1LBAIL chips to get the correct timing data etc.  Does anyone know where to get a detailed sheet. All that is readily available is a data brief for promotional purposes.The parameter settings for the interface are pretty basic:So it shouldn't be too difficult, but any help would be appreciated.  

Hi everyone,I'm having an issue with HSE bypass mode on the STM32G0B1RCT6 and hoping someone here has seen something similar.The HSE randomly won't start in bypass mode. I've tried two different oscillators - the S2D8.000000B20F30T and an OT32258MJBA4SL that I pulled from a working STM32F405RGT6 board where it runs without any problems.The behavior is inconsistent. Sometimes it starts up normally and then runs solid. Other times it just won't set the HSERDY flag. We've tried both toggling the NRST pin and resetting from code, but neither changes the state - if it's working, it stays working, and if it's not working, it stays not working. Only power cycling the entire board can change the state in either direction, sometimes making a non-working board work or making a working board stop working.On the scope, the signal from the oscillator is always visually fine.Any ideas or suggesti

Hello,We have a product that works well with the STM32U585AIIXQ rev X.In the latest batch, some boards have the STM32U585AIIXQ rev W, and the application no longer works (the power consumption is as expected).The application starts by transmitting some data over UART/I2C/SPI and refreshing the screen using TouchGFX before stopping.When the application halts, I can no longer access the MCU using ST-LINK in SWD mode (tested in both DEBUG and HOT PLUG modes).The application is based on ThreadX and utilizes analog functions, UART, I2C, SPI, DMA, USB, TouchGFX, GPIO, and PWM.I read the latest errata, but I didn't find anything that could explain the problem.I checked the electrical parts (power rails and reset) and observed nothing unexpected or unusual.The MCU is mounted on a dedicated board (all the other boards in the product are working as expected).When the code is compiled with -O3,

Hello, In our project we are planning to use STM32H743BIT6 uC, we are using USB for flashing the firmware and to download the logs, not at the same time, if we connect DM & DP lines from uC PA11 & PA12 pins to USB microAB connector DM & DP lines, will that be ok? I've designed my first custom board using the STM32F412 microcontroller. I'm currently facing issues trying to flash the firmware via USB and USART boot modes, but nothing seems to be working.Here’s a summary of what I’ve tried and observed:Boot0 is pulled high, RESET is toggled manually.Tried both USB (DFU mode) and USART (USART2) flashing methods using STM32CubeProgrammer — no success.Verified power supply: VDD, VDDA, and VCAP voltages are as expected.Crystal (HSE) doesn't seem to be oscillating — no signal observed on the crystal pins using an oscilloscope.At this point, I suspect it could be a hardware issue (clock or pin config), but I’d really appreciate help on how to debug this further.What’s the best way to confirm if the HSE is working?Any tips to verify if the chip is actually entering system bootloader mode?

Hi,is the STM32F103RET5 can be damage, when boot0 short to PB7 or PB8 by oscilloscope probe for short time?After I fix the board the STM32F103RET5 work ok.is boot0 in float is 3.3v?is 32kHz input short to input 8MHz can cause damage to STM32F103RET5?Thank you.      

Good morning,I would like to request support regarding the programming and debugging of the STM32U031C8U6 microcontroller. It is mounted on a custom-designed board, and I am experiencing issues connecting to the microcontroller via SWD for programming and/or debugging using an ST-LinkV3 updated to the latest version (V3.J16.M8.B5.S1), with STM32CubeProgrammer and STM32CubeIDE. The microcontroller is never detected.Note: With the ST-LinkV2 programmer, I am able to perform both programming and debugging without issues using the same software tools. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me!

Hello.I work on a project (the microcontroller is STM32H733VGT6) where VBAT mode is used. When the main power supply is switched off a supercapacitor supplies power to the backup domain (RTC, backup memory). This works correctly but the behavior of the system at low VBAT voltages is not what I want.The datasheet specifies that 1.2 V is the lower limit of operation in VBAT mode. However, when the voltage drops below this value there are no guarantees what will happen. In my case the reset of backup domain occurs far below the mentioned limit (0.3 V).According to the reference manual the VBAT voltage can be monitored and when its not between the upper and lower limit a tamper event can be generated that will reset the backup domain. For some reason I am not able to configure this event correctly. The screens below are 2 pages from the reference manual that seem to prove that what I want to achieve is possible.

Hi everyone,I'm developing a USB OTG Highspeed using STM32F756ZG with USB3340 USB PHY.Currently I'm using two OUT endpoint (EP1 and EP2), the host PC send each request (EP1 --> EP2 --> EP1 --> EP2 and so on). I got a problem when I try to send a request too fast (200us period), at that time the USB device only receive 1 endpoint in "OTG_HS_IRQ Handler" interrupt despite of the host PC send both EP1 and EP2.I have a few question, can anyone explain to me:1. Following the reference manual of STM32F756, it say "It guarantees max USB bandwidth for up to one frame (1ms) without system intervention". My understanding is USB can not handle if two request is send faster than 1ms. Is it correct?

Hello !I have to admit that I am stumped on this problem, I've been trying to make it work for the past few days.My issue is with an STM32F301K8T6 (LQFP32) and its ADCs : I have two reflective optical sensors (ITR8307) that are connected to ADC_CHANNEL_12 and ADC_CHANNEL_11. The value read with an oscilloscope are good (they are read directly on the pin so it isn't a soldering issue), they are going from roughly 3.3V to 0.6V.The issue is that the value read from the code doesn't really change, it gives me some random value on startup and oscillates around it, almost as if it was floating. I have tried polling for a single channel, scan mode, DMA, setting the sample time very high and very low, but nothing works... The impedance of the circuit is pretty low (a few kOhms at most), and it works perfectly with an ESP32.All of the VDD and VSS pins are reading the correct values, however one thing I've noticed is the value given by the ADCs are shifting when I

Hi, I'm in the process to design a board and an application based on the STM32U5G9ZJT6Q. I plan to disable the SMPS power supply. So I'll put the following pins to ground:- VSSSMPS- VDDSMPS- VLXSMPSI plan to utilize several GPIOs, about 90+. At page 19 of the MCU's datasheet, I read the following: GPIOs (without SMPS / with SMPS)  - NA/101 respectively.Does this mean that I need to enable SMPS, in order to have the 101 available GPIOs ? Or can I run them with internal LDO instead, and still have the 101 GPIOs ? It'll be my first time with one of these, and I'm choosing it because my design includes a battery (+charger & fuel gauge), so I'm interested in learning about low-power things. I have a single button on my device. I'd like to fashion a "hold to power on, hold to power off" functionality with this button. I also am using a fuel gauge that has some LEDs that can be triggered by a pushbutton. I'm trying to wrap my head around how to accomplish two things with a single button, and am considering the use of a MOSFET to accomplish this. Here comes my question: I think that to "power off" my device, I want my MCU to enter Shutdown mode. I think that I can then wake it back up by connecting my button to a WKUP pin. I am using the OCTSPI1 of STM32L4Q5CGTX to set HYPERRAM to memory-mapped mode.Memory can be read and written correctly.When I use STM32CubeIDE to check the HYPERBUS signals with an oscilloscope while the CPU is stopped with a break during program execution, CS# periodically becomes active, RWDS becomes HIGH during the CA section, and a clock is also output. Why does memory-mapped mode drive the HYPERBUS even when HYPERRAM is not being accessed? Is this a HYPERBUS specification?Can anyone answer this question?Thank you in advance.

Hi, I was trying to implement timer interrupt on an ST32F407 Discovery board. The ST-Link on my board has been broken so I used an external ST-Link dongle and I have it connected by following this post:https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/182763/how-to-use-an-external-st-link-v2-with-the-stm32f4-discovery-board I set up the timer so it will trigger interrupt once every 1s, but when I upload the code it does not go into interrupt.
