I want to measure ADC on multiple pins. I don't need DMA, just measure PA0 then measure PA2. Hello, I was wondering about the reasons to supply external clocks to the N6 MCU, since it seems that via HSI and LSI there are clocks integrated into the MCU. I am having trouble to understand whether the internal clocks can satisfy my requirements:- I don't have special accuracy requirements for LSE/LSI nor HSI/HSE- I am using the CSI-2 interface- I am using SPI and UART Interface Are there reasons to supply external clocks?Are there other considerations that I might have to take into account? (especially for example considering data rates of the interfaces that I am using or other) Best RegardsLucas

Test procedure.Nucleo-H753zi with "arduino style" shield installed.Hardware includes DAC80501 to generate linear ramp 512 points, than OP amp to scale up and convert SE to Diff.ADC2 runs in Diff mode, channel 3 (PA.6 & PA.7 -> SB 33/ 35 modified),clock 10.5 MHz, S/H 16.5 clocks, oversampling 256, than software oversampling x16 - total 4096.Linear regression done on the same nucleo, data plotted on TFT ILI9486 .Scale in 16-bits, meaning all screen 32 = 5 LSB, or  0.001611328 V, where LSB =  50.354 uV.

Hello, I have been trying to implement USB support on an STM32u5g9vjt6Q using USBX in standalone mode without success as of yet. I have been referencing this guide (How to implement USBX in standalone mode ) I am trying to use the onboard USB Phy in full speed mode, I think my issue comes down to clock configuration.  I am able to perform a USB DFU firmware update through the onboard ST bootloader so I am fairly certain I do not have a hardware issue, I also have a 16mhz external crystal.My firmware will end up in a Error_Handler after a timeout, the timeout is happening during this block of code inside of USB_CoreReset() do { count++; if (count > HAL_USB_TIMEOUT) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } while ((USBx->GRSTCTL & USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST) == USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST);

Hello Everyone,I'm using a Nucleo-G474RE board with TIM20 configured in input capture mode on channels 1–3 to measure PWM frequency from a function generator. Everything works fine when the signal is active, but when I turn off or disconnect the input, the code starts reporting a consistent 50 Hz frequency on the channel that gets disconnected—even though there is no signal. I'm using HAL, and the input pins (PB2, PC2, PC8) are configured without any pull-up/down resistors. I suspect it's retaining old capture values because when I was developing the code I was testing one timer channel with constant 50hz signal. Or Maybe it is caused by some electronic noise . How can I make sure the timer detects that the signal is lost and reports 0 Hz instead of a false frequency?

Hellofor some specific usage I am evaluating possibilities of using CM33 with HCLK 250MHz for maximum code execution performance. To do so I have crafted procedure in assembler and calculated the cycles using ARM reference manual. The code is doing only some data conversation from one data buffer into another one. Then I place this code in SRAM1, enabling I-Cache, setting RCC and I try to measure code execution time. Let’s say execution cycles calculated by hand is about 3000. later work I am basing on the code generated by CubeMX and inject my bare metal stuff. 1) using DWT->CYCCNT I see no difference in execution from FLASH or SRAM1 - result is about 79002) using TIM6 started before my func and stopped after it thus TIM->CNT has time in 4ns intervals - formal cycles. Hello,I'm currently working with the STM32F429IIT6 and using the LTDC to continuously output an image via parallel RGB + control signals. The image I'm trying to display is 854x480 pixels in 24-bit RGB888 format. The LTDC clock is running at 10.56 MHz.According to ST’s Application Note AN4861, I am using the internal frame buffer to send parallel RGB signals along with synchronization signals to the LCD. The total image size is:854 x 480 x 24-bit = ~1.2 MB,which fits comfortably within the STM32F429’s 2MB Flash memory. 

In 'G0B1, 'G071 and 'L412 Datasheets, ULPEN is mentioned several times (namely 3 times).It probably corresponds to PWR_CR3.ENB_ULP in case of 'G0x and PWR_CR3.ENULP in case of 'L412/'L422.I did not check if this propagates to newer STM32, too.ST, can the nomenclature please be unified.Thanks,JW

Hi All,I am trying to impliment a frequency shift keying (FSK) routine to represent a each bit of a byte as FSK.My routine is kind of working (see the IRQ for TIM3 below). My FSK is :Bit 0 & Start : 3600Hz Bit 1 & Stop : 1200HzThis ensures that timing is alway 833.3us, and transisitons only occur at the end of a full cycle (avoiding glitches).In this example pictured I am sending a 'U' to be encoded (this has a binary value of '0b01010101') so its easy to see the FSK changes.What I've noticed is that when I change from bit from 0 (3600Hz) to 1 (1200Hz) the output polarity keeps the previous polarity level. This makes it look like last pulse of the 3600Hz waveform is streatched.

All,I have somehow concocted a CubeMX configuration (attached) that causes the CPU to latch up when the LTDC clock is enabled during HAL initialization.  Here's what I'm seeing/doing:Debugger loads flash, breakpoints at HAL_Init() in main().Set a breakpoint on the first line of HAL_LTDC_MspInit() inside Core/Src/stm32u5xxx_hal_msp.c.Run program.  main() calls MX_LTDC_Init(), which calls HAL_LTDC_Init(), which calls HAL_LTDC_MspInit(), stopping at the breakpoint.Open the Variables view, expand hltdc, then expand hltdc->Instance.  Observe that the LTDC peripheral registers are viewable in the debugger.Step up to and then over the call to the macro __HAL_RCC_LTDC_CLK_ENABLE().  Observe that the LTDC peripheral register values go blank, and the debugger has lost communication with the MCU.H

Hi, I´m beginner in SMT32 MCU design, I´m doing a design for the above MCU and in the document "AN4555" that is for hardware develoment of these MCU series I founf that So for my package (64 pins) the VREF and the VDDA power signals are bounded inside the MCU, and I only have the VDDA pin available on my package,  then the AN4555 states that if the these power signals (VREF and VDDA) are internally bounded I need a 1uF capacitor on this pin, so in this case I need to place a capacitor on the VDDA pin? And for another side if the decoupling recommedation for the VDDA pin is to place a 1uF it´s nece

Core : STM32H743Z , STM32H753V, STM32H750 @ 480MHzExternal Sync Clock (as EXTI0): 10MhzI tried to read/write GPIO ports with TIM2_UP and TIM3_UP events, in sync with an external clock.  Data transfer (both in and out) is taking place, but not synchronised with EXTI.EXTIx 'events' are not triggering. Howvere EXTI 'interrupt' is working but the maximum data rate is less than 3MHZ Basic code initiated by CubeMX.Is there any working example for GPIO read with DMA and EXTI ?Thanks for your help in advance!

I have build the SNK1M1 project directly from github. For some reason it is missing PDOs. As a result there are several things I am not capable of doing.Any idea why this is not showing PDOs in the STM32CubeMonitor panel?Next to VDM SOP there should be a tab for the PDOs but its missing. Seems that the source is built with the expectation that there will be PDOs. The SNK1M1 itself does not seem to have PDOs even if I add some with the MX configuration they still do not appear.

I'm trying to configure the STM32H7S3L8 to work with a 24-bit parallel RGB LCD. From what I've read, this kind of interface usually requires either an LTDC peripheral or a dedicated display controller board. However, I can't find any documentation confirming whether the H7S3L8 includes LTDC.Can anyone confirm if the STM32H7S3L8 supports LTDC? If not, is there any practical way to drive a 24-bit RGB display directly from this chip, such as using the FMC, or do I need to add an external display controller?

Hi AllI have a digital power converter topology (H-bridge) which requires waveform to look like the following:As can be seen in the above, complementary waveform is being sent on bottom 2 channel in 1st 10ms and then they are being in the IDLE state while complementary waveform is being sent on other 2 channels in next 10ms.I have achieved above using HRTIM (TIMERA and TIMERB) and TIM17.The issue is that TIM17 interrupt the CPU and in the interrupt (in this case, at a freq. of 50hz), HRTIM outputs are being enable and disabled using the following code:void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TI

Hello All,While working on a design i was stuck in a point where in i have to map PSRAM pins --> FMC_clk on a port of MCU(STM32N647A0) which is available on PC10 but it is conflicting with SPI3_SCK.Please anyone can suggest solution on this. My design required both SPI3 as well PSRAM. Also, i tried for XSPIM_P1 Pins but in STM32N647A0 these pins are available on PO port which is not available in STM32N647A0 MCU. Please guide in this.Best Regards,Sakshi     

Hello everyone, I have been researching and developing the stm32f072c8t6-based development board for about a few months without any converter or St-link programmer products, so I am choosing USB line products specifically.But there is a problem that this MCU cannot connect directly to the computer, the MCU needs a USB Hub (Forum link at the bottom of this post.)I have reviewed a few application notes, but the MCU does not require any external circuits or components for USB connection.(If I missed it, forgive me.)Especially ST employees, can we implement a circuit design that can solve this situation or bypass it?By the way, when I watch the MCU's communication with the Computer with the Logic analyzer, I see that it constantly gives this table Dec:name type start_time duration value   (Numbers are seconds)USB LS and FS v1frame -0.000000083 0.000000667 SYNCUSB LS and FS v1frame 0.000000583 0.000000667 PID SOFUSB LS and FS v1f

Reading through the initial datasheet for this part I thought we could get away with using the USB_FS_VBUS as the VDDUSB pin as I didn't see a dedicated pin for the VBUS. It is now becoming apparent that this was misguided. Are there anyways to bring up the USB features of this chip at voltages below 2.7VDC? I have attached the relevant schematics below.  On the board I have access to 5V vbus, 3.8V and 1.8V. We brought down all IO voltages to 1.8V to get away from having to use a level shifter to talk with the AFE. 

Hello All,We need to configure STM32H757XIH6U (from STM32H747I Eval board) to work with 1024 X 600 LCD with RGB configuration (TFT), Found few references to set the Parameters using the STM32CubeMX. We tried to select the board, set the Display Controller to LCD TFT Controller, set the proper RGB, Hsync, Vsync Clk, Enable Pins, set the Width, height  to 1024 and 600. Even all the pins were mapped. Now once the pins are set after the build every time we found the Application is been using the default DSI for initialization but not the TFT.Kindly let us know, if are we missing something or any more further setting needs to taken care to Display and Sense the User touch for the Touch screen. We have a working application build in touch gfx which senses the button click and display the Screens on the 800 X 480 display over DSI. the same has to work for 1024X 600 using RGB to sense and display the images. If there is anything more to try

Hi, I`m totally new to STM32 MCUs and started a project for an application using the STM32L4P5CG MCU, I´m in the step of selecting a correct external LDO voltage regulator, I look at the PCC of STM32IDE but it seems confusing for me how to use it (I wanted the current consuption estimation) , I would like to know what should be the maximum current needed for my LDO voltage regulator based on the current my MCU will consume, I look at the datasheet for the mentioned MCU and found this, So if the maximum current into sum of all VDD power lines is 200mA for the MCU, the minimum current needed for my LDO voltage regulator is

Hi everyone,I am dealing with the configuration of a PWM in center-aligned mode in the context of the stm32H755 MCU. Such PWM is managed using TIM1 as "driver". The application requires to change every 100 us (TIM1 period) the ARR register to make it last a little bit longer/shorter at every cycle.I am running into the issue of updating the ARR register and noticing that while the expected output duty should be 100%, it is not. A very small peak down can be seldomly noticed on the oscilloscope.As of today, the only solution I have implemented is the check for up-counting and downcounting of TIM1 (100 us + 100 us), updating the ARR register only in down-counting instances, avoiding the peak. But in this case the control running in the background is underperforming, actuating once every 2 hits.I have found on the datasheet the ARPE bit, for what concerns my application I think it might help in my case but i would love to have some confirmations. Do I avoid
