STM32 MCUs TouchGFX and GUI

HelloI have a custom container common to several screen (with OK button in it).How can i call a callback of the current screen when a button is pressed in the container ?I do call the callback of the custom containe, but don't know how to propagate it to the current view.(for example when OK button is pressed i want to execute the action in each view containing this custom container)I there an example of this ?thanksregards

I am not using TouchGFX.The symptom is a consistent diagonal tear in a fixed location on my landscape configured display regardless of where the region of the screen I am editing is. Naturally, if the region I'm editing doesn't cross the diagonal, the tear isn't visible. Hello,DescriptionI have created a custom container to have the same stuff displayed at top of the screen, whatever the active screen is.In this custom container there's a text area tVersFw (with a wildcard and a wildcard buffer) which has to show a const string. I can't precompile the string in Designer beacuse the strings changes with firmware version (chosen at compile time by setting a preprocessor macro).So, in the initialize() call of the custom container I added this code:  Unicode::strncpy(tVersFwBuffer, FW_VER_STRING, TVERSFW_SIZE); tVersFw.invalidate();  where FW_VER_STRING is like "ABC123". IssueWhen I change GUI language, at runtime, one of the two languages makes the textarea show weird things.It's systematic: when I select one language, "ABC123" is correctly displayed whikle when I choose the other I see something like "New TextABC123". What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance,Andrea

Hello all, I have made a GUI with some circles that show as a LED. When the LED must be turned on the color of the circle shall be green and LED is OFF then the color must be changed to gray. So when I change the screen to another and back again, the color changes to a default value. As I understand I need to save the status to the Presenter and then to the model afterward I should get the status from the model and then the presenter. So now I want to know how to save the circle's color when leaving the screen. here is the screen shot for screenview:  

I'm using TouchGfx 4.21.3 for designing LCD screens for my project with ST Microcontroller. I have a requirement to have 4000 of value to use for scroll list and each element in scroll list is container. Can I make scroll list with 4000 items in it (scrollList1.setNumberOfItems(4000);)? How much is the maximum value that scroll list can expand?

I am not very experienced with CPP or TouchGFX. I have created a Custom Container with a TextArea, a ToggleButton, and a couple of ScrollWheels. I have created a list layout, and used .add() to add two new instances of the Custom Container to my list at run time. The purpose is to create a list of alarms with a title, and some settable parameters for the User to set and save. My problems with Portrait orientation don't end.I have a very large project where changing the architecture and function calls costs much more than changing a single function.My problem is how?The function is readBMP24File.In my project it is loaded from several places and many different screens.In the original project it works very well, many images are called or even of different sizes from an MMC with fatfs.Has anyone solved the problem of changing orientation without having to change the position and orientation of the images?I'm starting to have serious doubts that the touchgfx gui really helps in the work I do.If anyone can help me in solving the problem with a new or different algorithm I would be grateful.

Good news for new-comers to TouchGFX!If you use MB1818 (X-NUCLEO-GFX02Z1) for your NUCLEO kit, you'll find it tiring to make quick and convenient button controls cuz there is no shortcut files for its navigation joystick. I am developing an application that uses TouchGFX and having issues getting DSI clocks to the display.I am using a STM32F469i-DISCO and have replaced the supplied 800x480 screen with my own 800x800 MIPI DSI video mode display connected via an external adaptor board. All the interface signals required to drive the new display are present on the interface to the original LCD so all I have had to do is rearrange them for the new display.My problem is that I don't see any DSI clocks going to my display. I have checked the DSI data and clock lanes for hardware issues such as shorts etc, they are ok.I have created a simple 'Hello World' project using TouchGFX designer targeted at the original 480x800 display which runs fine using the STM32CubeIDE version.I have then adjusted the project built by TouchGFX designer using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CUBEMX to suit my display.To help with this process as a guide I have been following the TouchGFX. documentation https://support.touchgfx.com/d

I'm running the LCD_DSI_VideoMode_DoubleBuffering example on the STM32F469 Discover board, and I get a diagonal tearing across the display when switching between the two images, even though they are using separate frame buffers.Attached is a video of the double buffering example except the delay between switching between the two images is smaller, it makes the tearing more obvious. Note the tearing still happens in the unmodified DoubleBuffering example. Looking at the example it should only be swapping the framebuffers during the vertical blanking of the display, so I would expect to see this tearing. I found another question which I believe is the same issue from a year ago, but it didn't get an answer.Any help would be appreciated

I did some images and buttons and only one screen inside TouchGFX Designer I could Generate code, and I could simulate it without any problem. But after compile the project, and upload the project in CubeIDE, I don't see any image in LCD.* First I've check the framebuffer, if it could be allocated properly. Hello, I am a beginner in STM32 and Touchgfx. I am having a touchgfx application which has multiple screens. The main screen in touchgfx should update the live data received from Uart Rx. When a button in main screen is clicked, it should navigate to other screens. I am using an interrupt callback to receive the Uart data. The problem I am facing right now is, the Uart Rx is working fine through interrupt callback, and the data is being updated in mainscreen. But when the button is clicked, nothing happens. I suspect it's due to interrupt is being serviced often. Unfortunately my Uart DMA receive doesn't work and I am able to receive data only through interrupt callback. Can someone Hed some light on my issue?   Thanks and Regards    

Hello, I have a custom borad with a STM32F746BGTX and I use GFX Touch 4.20. I would like to have a bootloader and an application on the STM32F746BGTX. I have different images in gfx Touch for the bootloader and the application. The bootloader is stored in flash memory: 0x0800 0000 - 0x0803 FFFF The application is saved in flash memory: 0x0804 0000 - 0x080F FFFF I use an external Quad SPI Flash Memory (W25Q128FVSQ). I divided the RAM into 2 areas again. The bootloader gets 3MBytes (from 0x90000000 to 0x902EE000) The application gets 13MByte (from 0x902EE000 to 0x90FFFFFF). I want to jump from the bootloader into the application. The process: 1. Jump from Boorloader into the application. A value is written into RAM. 2. The function is called: NVIC_SystemReset() 3. In Main() I check whether a value is stored in RAM. If there is a value in the RAM, I jump into my application This process works perfectly and the application is also started. An error then occurs in HAL_Init(). In debug

Good morning, I'm quite new when it comes to TFT displays, I'm starting my adventure with STM32F746G-DISCO. I would like to design a similar HMI display (which does not need touch functionality) with the same dimensions of 4.3". From what I read, RK043FN48H-CT672B, i.e. the display in the discovery board uses the RGB protocol using LTDC. I would like to ask for help in selecting such a display and what should be paid attention to when writing the library and designing the PCB itself. I also wanted to ask if there are any displays in this size with an existing library

Delays in TouchGFX Designer such as for animation assume 60Hz tickrate. But for the target this isn't always correct. I use LTDC as a tick source and this gets me about 40Hz.So animations run too slow on my target. I had to resort to calling custom C++ code instead of having TouchGFX generate it. But doing this every time is annoying.
