GNSS positioning

Hi,The datasheet of STA8090FG only list in table 5 the test/emulated dedicated pins but there is no information how to use the pins.Is it IEEE 1149.1 compliant ?What are the interface timings ?Does TRSTn only reset the JTAG logic and must be left to ground during normal operation ?Thanks,Regards.

Hi,Doing randoms tests on the TESEO III accuracy, I've found an horizontal accuracy of 14m for 95% of the locations with extremes of 23m. Does ST have more informations about the TESEO III accuracy ? Are there tests that have been published ?ThanksRegards

Hi,I'm working with the TESEO III (STA8090). I want to save data on the NVM of the chip. Using the gps_nvm API by ST, I call the nvm_open() function and next the nvm_mount() nvm_create() function to creat a memory slot. The function returns success but the debugging log shows that it failed to create the item. Moreover the nvm_write function fails to write the slot.Following the documentation, I use the slot ids allowed to the user.Have you face this problem before ? Do you have any advice or example to acheive writing and reading the NVM ?

Hello,I had recently purchased the TESEO-LIV3F GPS module from Arrow electronics.https://www.arrow.com/en/products/teseo-liv3f/stmicroelectronics I have read the datasheet carefully before purchasing this module and appeared to be very similar to the Ublox Max 7c module. Hi,Is it possible to change of pin usage ?For an application we do not have the use of I²C link (SDA,SCL pins) and Wake-up or Ant_OFF pins. (only UART interface would be useful)Can those pins be configured as GPIO ?Thanks

We substitute 8088 by 8089 which has LNA and amplification is too hi for our input signal. I find it out by adding external attenuator - works fine CNO is 40-45. Hi,I would like to know the maximum velocity that the TESEO LIV3F chip can still having a stable update rate. I'm currently doing localization using TESEO LIV3F, and it update the position very slow under 3m/s. Perhaps that's because there are some trees and buildings when I'm moving around , but even if I'm at open space (at least 20m away from the building), I am still not getting the position updated. Therefore, I would like to know the maximum velocity that can guarantee TESEO LIV3F to continuously update its position.Thanks

Teseo-Suite Pro 5.2.3.4 installs and runs fine on Windows-7 from an account with admin privileges. When I try to run it from a non-admin account it seems to hang if the STM32F401 hosting the GNSS1A1 board is connected via USB. If I pull the USB connection, I get errors about files not being found in AppData and the program exits.Our IT guys are trying to move us away from using accounts with admin for day-to-day development (best practices for security). Is there a way to run Teseo-Suite Pro from a non-admin account? Thanks! -- Carl

Hi,I have a CLOE board, I detect an average of 7 satellites with a SNR between 25 and 45 during the cold start but I can't have a fix. The CLOE board is running with a TESEO III chip.Does anyone know the conditions to have a fix ? Moreover, I have an EVB-LIV3F, also based on a TESEO III chip and I can have a fix in 3 min 30 s with the cold start.

Hi,I'm using a Sequans CLOE board for one of my project. All the development code provided with the board are hard to understand. Is there a simple code juste to initialise the uart communication and to start using the GNSS API ?The CLOE board soft runs on a TESEO III on the board.As all the codes are comming from ST, Sequans can't answer these questions.Edit: There are some 2MB version of the TESEO III instead of the classic 4MB present on the CLOE. Try to remove the configuration number 250->15 in fwcfg.txt

Hi everyoneI am a little confused about CN0 and its relation with SNR. Does anyone know what is the exact meaning of CN0 and what is the difference between CN0 and SNR (signal to noise ratio)? I know higher CN0 translate into better accuracy.In my design, I am using an active antenna. Does using an additional LNA (low noise amplifier), before the main IC, increase the CN0?Any advice or help is appreciated.Best RegardsArmin

Hi , as I said in the previous question, I have designed a GNSS module with STA8089GA IC which works properly. It easily determines the 3D position, under two minutes, when I use an active antenna. Also, I use a GNSS simulator to demonstrate its functionality. By setting the simulator on satellite ID 10 with -80 dBm power and 42.5 dB/Hz CN0 and performing @PSTMRFTESTON,10 command on the IC, the CN0 is 43 dB/Hz based on the Teseo-Suite Pro software. The IC I use has two IF (Intermediate Frequency) pins to determines its RF front-end functionality which I want to use them to determines NF (Noise Figure). In the application notes of the IC, it is mentioned that to activate these pins you need to perform a NMEA command. But I cannot find the NMEA command. Does anybody know what is the command to activate these pins?Also, because the IF pins are differential, a differential to single ampilfer is needed. The amplifier I used is shown in the picture. Hi, I can't get the correct fix rate for x-nucleo-gnss1a1Using following command:$PSTMSETPAR,1303,0.1,0$PSTMSAVEPAR$PSTMSRRwhat I expected is update rate 10Hz, i.e., the timestamp is increasing 0.1 each time. However, the result isabove the red line, one can see that it is updating at the rate of 10Hzbelow the red line, it is updating at the rate approximately 3HzIf I reset the program, it will maintain 10Hz for about 1 sec, then back to 3Hz.If I power off the stm32 and power on, it will maintain 10Hz for a while, then back to 3Hz.Any idea or advice will be appreciated, thank you so much.

Hi everyone,I have designed a module with STA 8089GA which works properly. It gives me the exact position and fixes in less that a minute. I wanted to read time with this module. When I tried "PSTMGETRTCTIME" and "PSTMRTCTIME", it gives me time based on Greenwich. But I want the time based on the zone I live. I wonder how can I get the time based on the zone I live?
