I configured a s2lp gpio to change with Rx and Tx state : S2LP_GPIO_DIG_OUT_TX_RX_MODE = 0x90 in S2LP_Gpio.h. My issue is that i lose some packets. As you can see in the following screenshot, the sensor enter Rx state before gateway sends its ack. I use the antenna provided with the eval board, and the two boards are very close, few cm. Is it common to lost few packets considering this range ? or am i missing some parameters or functionnalities provided by s2lp ? 2 : Sometimes the app stuck in SpiRawTr

Hi guys,Trying to debug this issue. When I try to set a 128 bit service uuid in my advertising packet, I get 0x42 (invalid param) back from the BLE stack. Here's my call:aci_gap_set_discoverable(ADV_IND, 0, 0, STATIC_RANDOM_ADDR, NO_WHITE_LIST_USE, 8, localName, 17, servUuid, 0, 0);servUuid is an array where the first byte is AD_TYPE_128_BIT_SERV_UUID. This should be a valid advertisement packet. The uuid I am providing is a valid UUID that has already been added to the db. If I set servUuid to NULL and the length to 0, the call works as expected.Any idea?-Nick

 I have tried setting the MANCHESTER_EN register and a huge combination of data rates etc in order to get some sensible data in the S2-LP GUI, but nothing is consistent or representative of the data I expect to see.I can see the data correctly using a different receiver, also with rtl_433 and SDR software.Should ASK Manchester data be receivable using the S2-LP IC?I have tried pretty much every combination of settings and parameters I can think of and I don't appear to be making any progress.Thanks.

I need to be able to transmit or receive I2C frames of several hundred byes. But the FIFO size is only 16 bytes in TX and RX direction. The sample code from ST only uses less than 16 bytes so it does not check the status of TX or RX FIFO.In my case, since I have to load sever hundred bytes in a single transaction (TX as well as RX), I need to check the FIFO availability. Otherwise I will introduce TX overrun in TX direction or RX underrun in RX direction. Correct?How do I check this status while loading a byte to TFR (TX FIFO register) or when I read the RFR (RX FIFO register)? Any code snippets will be appreciated.

My evalboard seems to work. (I can flash the demo projects)But when I try to use the GUI, it does not detect the device. "No Firmware detected on motherboard..."It is successful to flash the Firmware STEVAL-IDB011V1/USB_CMSISDAP.hex but afterwards everything starts from the beginning.What can I do?

So the details of the configuration are: i am using I2C3 peripheral with the clock speed of 100kHz the pins are set to open drain no pull up no pull down. I am also using external pull up ressistors.I have already checked the internet for a solution but nothing is working. The initialization seems to be fine i even checked the datasheet for the board for its i2c and nothing seems wrong. I checked the status registers and found out that when i set the start bit using the function Hal_MasterRequestWrite the start bit in the control reegister is set but the SB flag in the status register is not set to the function returns the error code wrong start and returns hal_timeout. I even connected a osciiloscope and found that the SDA and SCL are always high and nothing is happening. The status register that describers any errors like busy are all of value 0. I checked the errata and tried the solution of reseting the peripheral but that isnt working either. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's the first time that I have to set RF modules.I have the following RF modules: S2LP of ST and CC1101 of Texas. I need that they communicate togethar. Do you know if they are compatible?I know that in the module C1101 you can select 2GFSK modulation. I am unable to build the source code provided on ST's gitHub due to the following error: "Building for iOS Simulator, but linking in object file built for iOS, for architecture arm64"The recommended solution I've found is to explicitly exclude arm64 architecture for the given project. I've made the following assumptions:The correct scheme to run the application is W2STApp The top level project file is W2STApp.xcodeprojThe application is compatible up to iOS 14.4 Custom xcconfig have been usedI have located the file "removeUnsupportedArch.sh" (located in the W2STApp folder) but am unsure of how to modify it to exclude the arm64 architecture. Hi,I was reading the BlueNRG-2N features on this datasheet, and it stated that it could "handle up to 8 simultaneous connections."Does this mean that one GAP Central device based on the BlueNRG-2N could transmit up to 8 GAP Peripheral devices (also containing the BlueNRG-2N) at the exact same timeframe? In the example above, if I were to transmit the same packet to 8 devices at t1 = x seconds, and if I set a connection length of ConnectionLength = y seconds for all the peripheral devices connected to it, all 8 peripherals would receive the packet at x + y + <some_hardware_overhead> seconds after it was transmitted by the GAP central device? Also, if all the GAP Peripheral devices were to send a message back through an Indicate/Notify operation, the GAP central could also receive all the Indicate/Notify messages from the 8 Peripheral devices at the same time?Any clarification would be helpful. CRadio boards:X-Nucleo S2868A1FW loaded into Main boards:I managed it to upgraded the Main FW boards with the S2LP DK SW version 2.3.1, so I can use the S2LP app to write and read the S2LP radio deviceThe boards are placed barely 10cm one from otherThe first test using the default init setting of S2LP DK SW is successful, 10 of 10 packets from Tx board reach the Rx board using the "Transmission Test" menuAs I switch from default datarate to 125 ksps datarate in both boards with the following radio settings:4gfsk1 modulation in two boards125 ksps data rate in two boards (which should be 500kbps according to selected modulation)Freq 868MhzThe receiver is not able to receive any of the packets transmitted at 125ksps by the Tx board.Did anyione experienced the same problem with this or similar test s

Hello,I created a BLE peripheral using a BlueNRG-MS chip. I can connect on this peripheral using a BlueNRG-M2 (using BlueNRG GUI) and read the services.However, it does not work when I try to connect with an android device (I use "BLE Scanner" app, Bluepixel Technologies). Here are the steps :I run my app on BlueNRG-MS (peripheral) ✔�? I start BLE Scanner on android ✔�? I see my BlueNRG-MS peripheral on the android app, then I click on "CONNECT" ✔�? The BlueNRG-MS seems to accept the connexion since it returns an HCI_LE_META_EVENT the following data :Event Code 0x13 (HCI_LE_META_EVENT) Subevent_Code 0x01 (HCI_LE_CONNECTION_COMPLETE)Status 0x00 (Success) ✔�? 5. The android app seems to try to connect during 10s, then it says "connection failed" �?��?I tested different android apps and the result is the same. I guess there are some parameters incompatible with android bluetooth ?The android app (BLE Scanner) is working with BlueNRG-M2 controlled with BluenRG GUI.Thanks for reading,Best

Hey all, We received our evaluation kit in the mail today and I'm trying to get some "Hello World" projects running. I'm using IAR 8.50.4 and have had success flashing the example projects to the board using the Navigator and by dropping Hex files into the drive that appears on my windows 10 machine.Following the getting started guide I've configured the IAR Debugger driver option to CMSIS DAP. I'm getting a cryptic "Fatal Error: Failed to connect to CPU Session aborted!" message when I attempt the "Download and Debug" operation.I've tried the multiple reset options in the CMSIS DAP configuration window, I've ensured the flash loader is enabled, and attempted to do this through keil where I also encountered errors that I suspect have the same root cause.I made sure to add the relevant packs/devices to my installations and the IAR project is configured to "ST BlueNRG-2" in the "general Options" tab.I'm not sure what is wrong since all my configurations look right.I enabled the log commu

Hello, can you help me recognize the S2LP version. I read the register DEVICE_INFO1 and I get 0x91 on the RC-S2LP-433 and in the Steval-fki433v2 is 0xC1. I have some problems with RC-S2LP and I think there is a different version of ic. Thx.

Good Morning everyone, lets brainstorm.Against my will, i might be designing star topology CANBUS networks.So i need to figure out how to set in firmware the EOL resistor value. My ideas:Rele activated EOLs, expensive and bulky.Programmable resistor IC (like AD5246), has anyone tried one of these with > 125Kb/s signals? i used them for audio long ago and they work.To use fault-tolerant canbus and place EOLs of 100ohms, but i dont like the term "fault tolerant", it means my system should tolerate faults?

Starting from ST EVMboard "B-L072Z-LRWAN1" I made my PCB with the murata module "CMWX1ZZABZ-091" (LoRa/Sigfox). To put my board to work, I have done the "id request procedure" with success, the same as I did for EVMboard.Now I am plannig to go in pre production and after that in mass production.Since I use the "murata module", I have to program in it the ID + PAC one by one.I have read some documents from sigfox and I think we need the "Modular approach" (simpler than "Full approach"), but I am a little confused.In my case which is the way to get ID + PAC + KEY for mass production?I would like a simpler and faster way than what I went through for the EVMmodule.Are there any other peolple who have already gone through such process?Thank you and best regardsLuca Pizzini

How can I do such kind of interfacing. Also note , this TETRA device needs a specific USB driver to install and run while connecting with the PC windows. Does the development board can support only those usb devices which don't need a driver run?

Do you have a typical schematic or an application note that deals with such a setup, to have direct hardware control of the TX- and RX-mode, and also to access the TX and RX data in a very direct way?In our application the TX/RX time and RX/TX time is critical and therefore we can't go over the FIFO with the data.We are looking forward to your reply/suggestions - many thanks in advance.Best regards,Hanspeter

Hello. I have STEVAL-IDB008V2 and I have 1 service with 5 characteristics for BLE. I use SensorDemo program coming with STSW-BLUENRG1-DK for tests. Problem is that I can not add more services and characteristics because Out of Memory error is received. I need to add 7 services with 7 characteristics each for my application. For example with ESP 32 this is not a problem. Is there any option that could be changed to achieve these requirements or just these is the potential of the BlueNRG 2? Is there any silicon level change in S2LP devices with device versions C1 and 91 since we observed there is difference in current consumption in standby mode. 91 is draws 29µA and C1 is drawing < 1µAWhat is the difference between device versions C1 and 91 of S2LP (DEVICE_INFO0) ?Will it affect the device performance in terms of power consumption (current) ?Also can we upgrade this version from 91 to C1 ?Is there any relevant document with version change info ?

Hello,I've started to suspect that something is not quite right with the BlueNRG-1 ST-Link Utility. I have a ST-Link V3 connected to STEVAL-IDB008V1M. I can flash and debug the module from Keil uVision5, but when I try to flash the module from BlueNRG Utility, I get "Can not connect to target!" error.When I open the settings the SWD frequency shows "Old Firmware" (see attached image). When I go to Firmware update menu and click Decive Connect, I get "The content of the ST-Link is corrupt" error. ST-Link utility for STM32 works OK, including the Firmware update menu.My ST-Link has the latest FW version V3.J7.M3.B5.S1. Version information of BlueNRG-1 ST-Link Utility is in attachments.So in summary:ST-Link with BlueNRG in Keil uVision 5 worksST-Link in STM32 ST-Link Utility worksST-Link in BlueNRG1 ST-Link Utility does not workWhat could be the issue?Edit: I checked from the logs and trace.log looks suspicious.
