How to write software code to design 2 KW fully digital AC / DC power supply by using STEVAL -1SA272v2 Evaluation board. After writing program how I can design SMPS.

The output status of A7987 chips varies from batch to batch. We purchased materials from different suppliers, and one batch will have a high pulse of about 7V after recovering from a 5V short circuit, while the other batch will have a high pulse of about 13V after recovering from a 5V short circuit. The maximum withstand voltage of the rear chip is 7V, and this 13V pulse can cause damage to the rear chip.Analysis of Failure Causes of CAN Transceiver Chip on HJ81 Circuit BoardA7987 abnormal chip, the voltage surged to around 13V when powered on after a 5V short circuit, causing the backend chip to burn out。   After replacing the chip with A7987 that tested normally, the voltage fluctuated to around 7V when powered on after a 5V short circuit, within the range that the CAN transceiver chip can withstand。    

The register map of L9961 BMS IC is missing from the datasheet, where can i find it?

Hi,In one of my applications, I require to design isolated DC-DC converter with following features:Input: 24V (Nominal)Output: 0-150V adjustable by a controller (With the help of reference voltage)Power: 70WI've tried some designs that's generated by webench of TI. But, the loop compensation and SMPS transformer selection part is very difficult for me. And my current design with UCC2803 20W with adjustable 0-150V. Is there any solution available with ST chips? Or any EVAL board that can help me? Any suggestion regarding chip selection from ST based on my requirements?

Hi, not sure if this is the right section, but: I have been given an AET-MOT-2DC70S1 motor controller board (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/aek-mot-2dc70s1.html#overview) and I'm trying to work out how to get it going. Starting simple trying to get one motor going, I can see that I need to connect the IN_A_1, IN_B_1, PWM_1 lines on JP1 I've also connected the +5v and GND lines. I've been trying to use a raspberry Pi to take the lines High/Low and use the PWM. However I'm not getting anywhere - I can get the motor turning one way if I take IN_B_1 high but not under other circumstances.  Also the documentation shows various modes of operation but two of them (see fig4 an12 in the documentation) have the same combinations of H/L on the inputs but produce different results. How do I get started with this device and work out how to control the motors?   TIA

Hello we have a need to string the SMAJ58A-TR TVS Diodes with some chip resistors in parallel and I'm wondering if we could physically stack the diodes on top of the resistors due to limited board space. If so, what resistor package would be ideal and if you have any documentation on this that would be wonderful.

Hello, I have questions about a project we developed a long time ago. I will put the schematic below. We are using the BTA26-800BWRG (U8 and U9) in the schematic to parallel two inductors. The voltage applied to these two inductors is an ultrasonic signal of 600V at a frequency of 20-120 kHz. However, I don't fully understand how the TRIACs can switch, given that there is no voltage source in the loop between the two gates. Yet, the project works almost perfectly, except that sometimes, when the generator is off and the attempt is made to turn off the TRIACs, they remain switched on. U8 & U9 (BTA26-800BWRG) & OP1 & OP2 (IL410)   Thank's in advance for your help. Best regards, Joe

Hello, I use viper22A for 220VAC to 14VDC-1A PSU. When I shorted output, around 3A current flows from Ampermeter. Viper22A datasheet explain that if output is short circuit no feedback will come from optocoupler, FB pin voltage will be 0V (my measurement voltage on FB pin 0V too), and viper22A switch-off the Mosfet.Why mosfet switched continuously although I did output shortcircuit?

Hi,New to the community here.I am new to using this BMS evaluation board AEK-POW-BMS63EN. I want to connect a battery pack to this and an external microcontroller to receive the digital data and do something with it.So a battery pack as input to this eval board. And the board sends digital data (Hex) to a microcontroller. 1. Can I use a non-STM microcontroller to connect to this? 2. Can I connect this to a PC directly or I need an interface?3. How can I use AutoDevKit Studio for this? Please kindly advise, thank you in advance!  

Hello ST Community,I'm working on a project that uses the VNQ9025AJ, a quad-channel high-side driver, to manage the power supply in a car—primarily for powering fans and pumps. We are using 12V as VCC.According to the datasheet, each channel supports up to 30A and includes thermal protection at 150°C. However, when we integrated it into our car and attempted to power all the fans and pumps simultaneously, the driver overheated (reaching up to 200°C) and burned out. This is unexpected because the fans and pumps are relatively small, each consuming only around 3A.I'm unsure why this is happening. I'll attach the project schematic below for reference. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! 

Hello,I looked through the data sheets of multiple efuses and cannot really find reliable values of Iq (quiescent current) values (somtimes only leakage for certain pins is given). Even the product selector does not show any listings of Iq. Every other vendor (TI, AD, Onsemi, etc.) offers that. Or is it that I just couldn't find it?My requirements are:- max 10V input- lowest Iq possible in always on or when disabled- current limit: > 1.2AThank you.Best,Andy

Hi there,I downloaded the gerber file “STDES-2KW5CH48V GERBER ” and found that there is obvious wrong with copper pouring clearance. For example the clearance between main lines and ground is less than 15 mil.

InSTGAP3SXSdatasheet is funny table , input -> output state, the most important thing for a driver - but wrong:btw : 1. Do not care.   -- is perfect here.  

In my project I use a L9826, 6 Outputs are used conventionally 2 outputs are not used. In the same project I need to have 2 digital inputs (SPI) and I would like to know if I could use the two unused outputs of the L9826 as HCMOS inputs via the Fault status register; would this type of unconventional use be possible? We designed a buck converter with (300-800) input DC voltage and the output voltage is 24V.  The max load current is 150mA.  We noticed two issues here:1. The device fails when we try to measure VDD pin voltage with reference to Power Ground (DC input ground).  Though the VDD voltage is with reference to device ground (pins 1,2,3,4,6), but why it should fail when we use power ground as a reference with a Digital Multimeter.  This has happened thrice and in all the cases, the device failed silently (no sounds, no physical damage etc.,).  All this happened at 150V DC input voltage itself.2. In the second case, the device failed at 800V DC input when we tried to connect 100mA resistive load.  No probe is connected anywhere in the circuit.  However, we used the same compensation network as given in ST AN 5380 (15V, 1.5W buck converter and could not arrive at the values for 24V output voltage.  If the compensation network is a problem, can someone ple

 I'm using a single L9963E and it works fine. However, I couldn't start daisy chain connection. When I consider BMS architectures in datasheet, all of them has L9963T transceiver to communicate with further IC. My custom PCB doesn't provide L9963T.So I have two question:1- Do I really need a transceiver for USE MULTİPLE l9963E slaves ?2- Can I use the transceiver on EVAL-L9963E-MCU for this purpoeses?Bear in mind, I'm using an external MCU, not built in SPC MCU chip.Lastly, as I said, I can succesfully communicate single IC and I'm using a cable that has low capacitance.
