STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hello ST. I would like to amplify a signal using the built-in opamp of the STM32U575ZIT6QU or STM32U575RGT6 product.The signal I want to amplify is as follows:The middle voltage is approximately 1.65V,It has an normal amplitude in the range of 1.5V to 1.8V,I would like to amplify this amplitude to a level such as 1V to 2.3V.Is it possible to use the built-in op-amp in this scenario?I would prefer to first consider using the PGA connected mode without external resistors or capacitors.It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide detailed information on how to connect the circuit. Thanks in advance.

New question moved from this original thread. Thanks for the quick response.So basically the HW is configured in SMPS. So in order to obtain 480MHz, what changes should i do to the hardware. Or is there any way i could do it without changing the hardware?In SW, I will select LDO with scaling VOS0 or is there anything else i could do. Also i checked the threads you mentioned, It is indeed similar issue but not exactly the same as for me it works fine when im running the cores m7 and m4 in 400MHz and 200Mhz respectively. I chose "PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY" while running at 400MHz and it works fine. Im confused about the HW changes required to run at 480MHz or a configuration that could make it run in 480MHz without any hardware change. Thanks again.

I am doing a datalogger application with a custom piece of hardware using STM32 and FileX middleware. While datalogging, it occassionally experiences a spike in write and flush times that seems to be random to me. So I tried to make a simple application just to test it.The setup: The custom board uses STM32H563 MCU directly connected to the SD card slot hardware component. I generated my code using STM32CubeMX with FileX in standalone mode. So I am not using LevelX or ThreadX (from Azure RTOS). The SDMMC peripheral has a clock speed of 25MHz, with 0 SDMMC clock divide factor. This gives me the maximum SD default speed according to the reference manual. The SD cards used are FAT32 with 4096KB sector size.For debugging and testing purposes, I am continuously logging an array of 32768 bytes that is in the program. I have given the media file 102400 bytes that is aligned to 32 bytes. The code is simple. With the media and file open, the code writes the 32KB of data and immediately flu

STM32H735G-DK debug QuestionI try to use board STM32H735G-DK.I connected JP7 to the STLK to change the power source and connected the PC and board via CN15 with USB microB.In STM32CubeIDE 1.13.0, I make project for the board and debug ( Fig.1 ).I haven't added anything to the created files, but debugging failed ( Fig.2 ).The state of the board is・the monitor is white screen・LD1 and LD2 is not light・LD5 is green and LD6 is redFig. 1 Fig.  2 I thought it might be a deadlock state, so I tried to recover from the deadlock using the STM32CubeProgrammer method as described in the documentation ( https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2679-discovery-kit-with-stm32h735ig-mcu-stmicroelectronics.pdf 6.2.4).When I debug after running the method, I get Figure 3 in the debug console. If I debug again I get back to Figure 2.What was wrong with my settings?Could you please give me some advice on how to restore the state and perform debugging?Fig. 3

Hi all I am trying to program an STM32U575RIT6 chip using a TAG connect and ST link V3, on plugging in the tag connect, the chip shorts and becomes unrecoverable. I make sure to ground the linker before inserting, doing it all on a grounded matt, with the power to the board off before plugging it in. This seems to happen at random, as sometimes the programming will work and program fine, other times it shorts. I replace it with a new chip and it works for a while and then shorts again. When the chip is programmed, it works fine and as expected, until the point I come to reprogram it and it shorts. I've tried other ST links, and cables, to verify its not just my linker and still get the same results. I've tried keeping the board powered on when I plug the STM link in, and still get the issue. I've moved from using an STM32L452 and STM32L496 which I never had any problems with programming, only ever this U5 chip. Any advice on what I am doing wrong, or how to stop this from happening. I'

Hi, I am developing the board using the NUCLEO-F429ZI board CN7, CN8, CN9 and CN10 of ST, and I am looking for a product to upgrade to several surfaces such as FD CAN Port.According to ST's data, Nucleo-H743zi seems to be compatible except NC in CN9, but according to circuit diagram data, it doesn't seem to be compatible at all.What data should I look at and judge?I'm sharing the data I saw.Looking at the circuit diagram and pin map, it seems to be inconsistent.

Hello,I need support with the following issue I am facing.I am using the discovery board STM32F407G-DISC1. When I launch the debug mode, in the SFRs window I get the error "Error reading value".I am following a course in Udemy for embedded programming using this specific board. Debug mode worked fine until now (implementing GPIO drivers and Interrupts).To try to issolate the problem, I came back to a simple program from the begining of the course to turn on the LD4. This program was working fine with the debuger, but not it is not.I have made a search online and found the following procedure:1. Download STM32 ST-LINK Utility2. Launch Application.3. Connect to board.4. Erase memory.5. Disconnect from board.This process worked fine, but did not solved the problem (I am still geting the "Error reading value" message in SFRs).Any idea how to proceed to solve the problem?Thank you in advance,

im looking in the bsp folder for the stm32f429i-disc in the stm32cube_fw_f4 folder and i see a file stm32f429i-discovery_eeprom.c why is this here as i dont believe there is a eeprom on this board 

Hi all,I would like to keep RTC value (and keep the RTC working) during power off of the disco board, so I am planning to cut SB16 (soft bridge) from+3.3V and solder an external CR2032 +V battery to the board. My first questions are:How will I know that the battery is connected to VBAT pin of the MCU during initialization of RTC (from software)? The initialization generated by STM32CubeMX overwrites the date and time registers of the RTC. If the battery is connected the initialization could not modify the RTC clock value and I think it should do nothing with the battery backup RTC... I guess if the RTC is enabled during power on initialization then I have skip RTCInit(). Is this okay?Is there any example or tech paper how to use external battery for RTC and backup RAM? (Hidden secrets)Is the +3V CR2032 battery good pick (the 3V voltage) for backing up RTC?Any notes are welcome!Thanks,Louis

Hi all,I am using the Nucleo-H723ZG board and I'm testing the consumption in stop mode, running the example from the ST repository NUCLEO-H723ZG\Example_LL\PWR\PWR_EnterStopMode.The code compiles without any warning and I use the stlink of the nucleo to program it.I removed the Jumper JP4 (VDD_MCU) and in its place I inserted a precise ammeter (HP34401A)The current measured at the moment of STOP is about 4mA!!Can anyone help me?Thanks a lot,Nicola

I have two NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q boards and I’m trying to run the SPI_FullDuplex_ComIT example on both.One board breaks here (whether the software is built for master or slave):The other board has no problem (whether the software is built for master or slave).Any ideas?

If you generate the CAD output using STM32CubeMX (or download it from the ST website), the pins are completely different than the datasheet.For example, in the datasheet, for the VFBGA178 (STM32N657I0), OSC32_IN (aka PC14) is shown as pin B1 whereas the UltraLibrarian & STM32CubeMX outputs it as B12. Virtually all the pins are similarly shuffled.I'm *assuming* the datasheet is correct? If so, I suggest either fixing the UltraLibrarian/STM32CubeMX generated footprint, or deleting the link until it's corrected. Someone is bound to make a board completely incorrectly unless they cross check.In the meantime, my day will now be consumed with hand entering all the pins from the datasheet, which kind of sucks. :)

STM32L412KBUx on NUCLEO-L412KB, STM32CubeIDE, Version: 1.8.0.I'm trying to power my NUCLEO-L412KB from an external +5 V power source. I have removed SB9 (connected NRST signal of ST-LINK to the NRST pin of theSTM32). SB1 (USB power through CN1) is OFF (default).When I connect my external source to CN4 pin 4, red LED LD2 turns on, but the STM32L412KB doesn't run (as far as I can tell; I put a HAL_GPIO_WritePin in main() after USER CODE BEGIN 2). If I then connect a USB cable, it comes up. When powered only by the external +5 V, I see:CN4 pin 4 (5V): 4.96vCN4 pin 3 (RST): 3.17vCN4 pin 14 (3V3): 3.29vU2 pin 1 (VDD3): 3.29v What could be keeping it from running on the external +5 V?

I am trying to capture an ADC conversion value for ADC1 channel 1 using the PA1 pin as per the STM32F429 Datasheet and have come across a couple of issues. My question has two parts, one for the actual conversion and one around the captured value.Question 1:No matter what I do I simply can't get the continuous and the interrupt modes to work and can only get it to work on a single-shot mode. Hello, I compiled and loaded the official reference example for STOP PWR with no RTC STM32CubeL0/Projects/NUCLEO-L053R8/Examples/PWR/PWR_STOP at master · STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeL0 into the NUCLEO-L053R8 board.I am unable to match the maximum consumed power @25C, which is rated at max 1uA. I read about 2.2uA on the JP6 jumper.Is that still fine? Many thanksBest RegardsMarco Peli

Hello, I have bought the new STM32F407 DICOVERY BOARD and installed the STSW-LINK009 driver. The board is not getting detected as an unknown USB device or ST-LINK. The green LED on the board near the USB port lit.I changed the USB port, USB Cable, changed the PC, and changed the board, but still it does not work.     

Hi,I am not able to understand the pin mapping in stm32h7b3i-dk (default pin mapping). I wont be using stmod+ but I need to use analog audio input (3.5mm Audio jack in) . By using the default set of pin mapping is it possible to use TouchGFX monitor and analog audio input without pin conflict? I tried to check this out myself my I am slightly confused about this. Thank you in advance!

Hi,  I recently bought a P-NUCLEO-LRWAN-2, and I would like to communicate through LORA from the gateway to the end-node and vice-versa, but some information is lacking. In the Getting started with the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 and P-NUCLEO-LRWAN3​ starter packs DOC there is no inofrmation on how to send and receive data, for example, with the command LORA_send() I saw on a website, and the file USI WM-SG-SM-42 AT Command cannot be found, and the link given at [1] doesn't lead me anywhere. Could you pls give me this information on how to receive and send data, or where can I see that Info. I don't need to use for now a dashboard, it would be enough to just put something on a terminal on one of the modules, and just see if the info was received on the other terminal, for example.  I also know that the end-node has some sensores, how can I access them? Thanks for your attention.

When "ST-LINK: Could not verify ST device!" error appears and what the mentioned verification process consists of? Can I influence verification process in STM32CubeIDE and how?I have STM32 MCU, which gives me "ST-LINK: Could not verify ST device!" in STM32CubeIDE whatever i do (trust me, i did a lot). ST-LINK Utility can connect to this MCU without any problem, so I wanted to ask for more information about the famous verification, which doesn't let me to debug the MCU. Thank you.

My application requires a resistive lcd.  Is anyone familiar with trying to replace the existing capactive lcd with a resistive lcd?     I have seen some resistive lcds with a similar 40 pin connection, but the I2C interface (pins 37-40) are the resistive signals.  Not sure if there is a resistive lcd with an i2C interface?   Appreciate any feedback.
