I'm trying to get the STM32H750 discovery board running at 400MHz with as little code as possible. Good morningI am about to receive a Nucleo F446RE board.I'd like to add a 5V power supply, not using only the USB power supply.Can I give the supply from an AC/DC converter (220V AC to 5V DC)?Can I connect it directly to the board?Do I need to connect it in series with a resistor? Which value for the resistor?Do I need to connect it in parallel with a capacitor, to protect it?Thanks to anyone who can help.

HelloMCU has SD card & USB in MSC Device mode. I am storing data on SD card in csv fatfs format. The data from SD card can be read on computer by making connecting with USB. Now I want to encrypt the data so only my GUI application software on computer can read the csv files, otherwise anyone can open the stored csv file.   I have no experience with encyption and have tried to search  forums and see link to playlist on STM cryptography. Should i watch that ? 

 @RomainR. @mƎALLEm  UPDATE 04/30/24:I no longer believe this is a debugger only problem. CM7 is always successful in flashing and debugging or running.The ST Link GDB Server cannot flash the CM4 in either debug or Release mode. I urgently need to free up space on Windows and this folder weighs about 20gb.Obviously I plan to save all these files in a flash drive before deleting it, to avoid any kind of problem,But I ask you what is this folder, what files it contains and if I can delete all or some of them .. maybe keeping the most recent versions ? 

I am using motor control library with FDCAN port but STM32G431RB library is not workiking.I can solve the problem with changing code STM32G431cb fdcan library. The method is not proper method for using cubemx. Please update G431RB fdcan library.

Hello, ST expert CubeMX generated software framework is used for our STM32U595VJT6 based hardware design. It works well but for the low start up time. It takes almost 1 second between 3.3V is stable and the flag GPIO turns high in MX_GPIO_Init. Is there any suggstions on this problem? BRYang

The CKMODE bit becomes 0 after changing the setting values of the OVSE bit and OVSR bit of ADC_CFGR2.Therefore, the clock frequency of ADC exceeds Max32MHz.Is it a malfunction of STM32G071?I am very in trouble.If you have any countermeasures, please let us know.

Hello I just started with programming Nucleos and I tried to establish a UART communication with my laptop. So the problem is I can only select USART1 when i open my connectivity tab in IOC file. And to use USART1 i have to unsolder those 2 resistors on SB27 and SB32 and solder them to SB31 to SB32, am i correct? That would we my last option. I am just wondering why i cannot use or even select USART2 in the first place. I am using NUCLEO-C031C6. Has anybody faced that kind of problem? Any tips or solutions are welcome.     

I have a board with STMU5A5, as LQFP64, and I am thinking to substitute (just) the MCU with a STM32H5xx one (also as LQFP64 package, because it is faster (250MHz instead of 160MHz)).After checking the pinout and datasheet - I came to one conclusion and one question (just to confirm).Conclusion:I have STM32U5 as LQFP64 with SMPS option (hard to order the LDO version). The STM32H5 has also a LQFP64 package:BUT: just as LDO version, not as SMPS!SMPS is just available from LQFP100 upwards. "rrrrr" (so, I cannot change, without to modify PCB)Question (please confirm):My STM32U5 LQFP64 has an USBVDD pin. But the STM32H5 LQFP64 does not (just all as VDD).Does it mean?:"USB (via the internal FS PHY) is not possible on a STM32H5 LQFP64?" Hello everyone. I had some interesting issues with my stlink. I was debugging just fine for about 2–3 weeks, but yesterday i was unable to debug for several reasons: target under reset, cannot erase flash. But after a few hours, everything became fine again. Today the same problem occurred, i changed MCU, and it didn't work. St link was a little bit warmer than usual. Then i tried debugging using other st link and everything was fine again. It was a custom board which has power from meanwell power supply.So my question is can this problem be caused by grounds from pc and power supply? Another idea i had is that i shorted stlink when it was on my desk by accidentally touching something. What do you think?

Posted on August 02, 2017 at 10:52 Hello there. I am currently developing a coin cell powered device with the STM32L051C8. The datasheet says in standby mode the consumption is about 0.27uA (270nA). My current board only consists of a Voltage Regulator which is rated to max. 300nA self consumption. So the optimum consumption for my device should be around 570-600nA. My current board has consumption of around 800-900nA. All:The STM32H723 has a temperature sensor as part of PWR.Some questions:1. The HAL instruction to enable is HAL_PWREx_Enable_Monitoring( ) - can temperature be enabled independently of VBAT?2. Can TEMPL and TEMPH be changed, or are these permanently set? (I assume TEMPL corresponds to -40 C and TEMPH corresponds to +125 C)3. Is there a way to determine that monitoring is indeed enabled? (I tried halting emulation and viewing PWR->CR2.MONEN and contents were 0.)4. If low or high temperature is detected, what should the response be? I see zero as a normal response to HAL_PWREx_GetTemperatureLevel( ).Regards,Todd Anderson

I need to use dual regular simultaneous mode as I am using ADC1 and ADC2 simultaneously. I have enabled DMA for the both ADCs.When I am running below code in debug mode it is going into hard fault after halfconversioncplt function. It is not going into conversionCplt function. Posted on March 12, 2014 at 02:49Hi all,Does anyone know what COM (LD1) LED on top of the STM32L-discovery board indicate??? I know that when we upload the code, it will blink in red and green very fast, and when it's powered on and work normally it will be red (no blink).  However, what does the blinking red light indicate?  With the same code, I saw this situation sometimes, but sometimes it just works fine.  I always need to plug and unplug my USB cable until it functions normally......  Does anyone have any idea about the COM LED (LD1)?Could it be caused by the insufficient current of my USB hub? Dear support team, I need to activate and deactivate the readout protection on a fully automated CI enviroment and according to the RM0440 (Note: If the read protection is set while the debugger is still connected through JTAG/SWD, applya POR (power-on reset) instead of a system reset.) a POR cycle is required. Is there a way to solve this without a POR? The used hardware for CI does not provide means to perform a POR. Is there any G3 register I can manipulate to have the desired result?Why the behavior is different from STM32F3x?
