STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I have a STM32H7S78-DK which is equipped with a STM32H7S7L8H6H MCU. I'm trying to get the Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) to work, but so far without succes. I have also tried it with Core Clock frequency set to 600MHz in the debugger SWV settings.I'm new to the toolchain so I think it is likely I'm just overseeing something. Any help would be appreciated!My current settings:

I am using STM32U5 MCUs in my development. The code seems to be broken after updating from 1.16.1 to 1.18.1 and migrating the project using the latest version of compiler tools. Following the debug to disassembly, I see 16-bit or 32-bit STR, LDR access to odd addresses. These are part of a struct that has a byte and 16-bit/32-bit elements. Based on my understanding of any ARMV8, the compiler tools are supposed to do byte access when not aligned.The USBX CDCACM code based on the example generated from the 1.16.1 IDE, migrated to 1.18.1 seems to see the issue as well with lots of structures defined as PACKED (ALIGNED(1)).  Is this a known issue or am I missing something.  ThanksSansh

Hello,So, i have created a small project in which the diagnostic information was saved in the internal flash of STM32F429ZET6 at the time of a crash. So, to test this project i have triggered usage-fault exception in an infinite loop by dividing a number via 0.In the exception handler, i'm capturing and storing the diagnostic information in sector 0 of internal flash (I have modified the linker script to reserve this area, and configured sector 0 as non-executable area via MPU). I am trying to use cubeide 1.18.0 to program my f103c8t6 (I have been using keil 5 before this) and I'd like to get a HAL package for it but the ide just say I cannot connect to the server while the check connection says connection is OK. I just want to know how to get the package and have the ide up and running

Running the STM32CubeIDE v1.17.0 on Ubuntu 22.04 - exits after the splash screen.I installed "en.st-stm32cubeide_1.17.0_23558_20241125_2245_amd64.sh.zip"I tried searching for this issue but got nothing. Hey,I have a stm32f407 discovery board, I flashed a code using stm32ide to store some integer data in sector 11 of flash memory(0x080E0000) and then read the data and blink led if it matched.Now I commented the code to write data and tried just read data at that location, but when i tried to flash code using stm32ide onto the board it failed. Hello,I am trying to create a project using the STM32F429ZIT6 board, but whenever I activate and try to use the usbd libraries, I get countless "error: unknown type name 'USBD_ClassTypeDef'" and similar errors. For some reason, the library usbd_def.h is not "seen" by the other usbd libraries, and all the definitions aren't being imported despite all the header files including usbd_def.h, whether directly or indirectly. I have tried changing the header files to only directly include usbd_def.h, but there's always one file that doesn't seem to want to work; for me, it is usbd_cdc.h. Am I missing something obvious when setting up the project?I am using STM32CubeIDE 1.17 and the firmware is "STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.28.1", which should be the latest firmware. Hello,I am currently working on a project using CUBEIDE.However, I encountered an issue where modifications made in the IOC file do not reflect in the generated code. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this problem.Project Copying Process:Created and worked on the project on Computer A.Copied the project to Computer B.The project folder was copied entirely via USB from A to B.Opened the project on Computer B using "Open Project from File System..." → Directory.Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Hi Everyone          I confuse about uint8_t or uint16_t on stm32cubeide. When going to debug mode the Live Expressions (tab bar) when I change format to decimal value it shows negative value if the value more than 127 for uint8_t and 32767 for uint16_t. I am using an NUCLEO-F072RB Board with an STUSB1602 Type-C Controller Expansion Board. I have the following 2 issues after I flashed it with the Project "STM32F072_MB1303_DRP_2PORTS" from the STSW-STUSB010 Library:1. If there is no USB-C Cable connected to either Port, the Blue LEDs D100 and D103 blink three times a intended. The issues appear when I connect a Source or Sink. The Orange LEDs D105 and D102, which are supposed to show me the orientantion of the cable, keep blinking two times even if I change the orientation. Instead it seems that the Blue LEDs change their blinking pattern depending on the cables orientation.So I thought that both LEDs are switched but the Orange LEDs never change their blinking pattern. 2. When I try to access the Port status with the CLI (PuTTY) it shows me the following output everytime I Press the B2 Button:▒  I use the following Settings:Baudrate: 115200 Data bit: 8 Parity: none Stop bit: 1 Hardware

STM32CubeIDE 1.17 on Windows 11. When I build a project (right click on project in project explorer) code generation _always_ runs, even though IOC file is unchanged....Project clean does not help. Annoying but not a problem yet. Makes me wonder what else is going wrong. 

Hi folks.I have been working a couple of days on a project involving the STM32G070RB. The devices uses two uarts : one for serial comunication throug a USB-serial converter and one for modbus comunication.Both worked OK but now the STM32CubeIDE mark the following lines with "missing ';' " indexer marking and the UART4 stoped to work (both Tx and Rx) and the UART2 Rx IT doesnt work too.   __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOF_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE();  ¿What could be the root cause? I am experiencing multiple issues within the GUI for my .ioc, using Mac STM32cubeIDE is similar, but without updating, just out of nowhere(?), the .ioc file looks terrible.Contrast is too bright.Headers within some panes are missing, such as interrupts--which means how do you know what the checkbox is doing for a given interrupt?When trying to add a User Label, such as for the GPIOs, once you start typing, the character you entered is highlighted. Once you type the second letter of your intended user label, the next entry overwrites the character. Instead, you must use the right-arrow key (on your keyboard) to move to the next character.Not sure how this could happen without a SW update, but it did.

I started using STM32CubeMX, Atollic TrueStudio and the ST-Link Utility about 7 years ago and just recently, downloaded the latest STM32CubeIDE which does it all. Since then I noticed there are no files in the Drivers and Middlewares subdirectories although the project folder in the IDE shows the files. Not that I would want to modify those files, but just curious as to why I don't see them outside of the IDE.

STM32CubeIDE/MX generates the function PeriphCommonClock_Config() in the “Appli” which is not known/not defined. After I comment this out, the error disappears.Is it possible for STM32CubeMx to deactivate the function in the “Appli”?2. the function PeriphCommonClock_Config() is known in the bootloader “Boot”, but the definition “RCC_TIMPRES_ACTIVATED” is not known here. According to “STM32H7RSxx_hal_rcc_ex.h” only the definition “RCC_TIMPRES_ENABLE” exists.
