Hi all, I’m confirming whether the ST LSM9DS1 provides any on-board sensor fusion output (for example quaternion/Euler), or if fusion must be done on the host MCU. If anyone has definitive guidance from ST docs/support, please share. Thanks.

Hello, I work on quality control for a company and I need to create an instruction of incoming for the item PN  LSM6DSOXTR, but I can't find any documentation about the topmarking of this item.It is mark on the item S4QR CODE504Is the "S4" the marking for  LSM6DSOXTR ?I believe that S4 is the top marking for the  LSM6DSOXTR but I need to find the oficial information that explain that. ThanksBruno M.

Hello.I'm working on product with LSM6DSO IMU.I have the communication working, but I'm trying to optimize a reading of the FIFO buffer.In the AN5192 document there is sentence: "The wraparound function from address FIFO_DATA_OUT_Z_H to FIFO_DATA_OUT_TAG is done automatically in the device, in order to allow reading many words with a unique multiple read operation." How should I understand this exactly? What is meant by the "unique multiple read"?I tried to read the register first using i2c write-read, and then just do simple reads of 7 bytes in a loop (for number of samples in fifo). Hi Because our recorded LG acceleration data shows strong aliasing artifacts we tried differten sensor configurations but nothing realy helped. Even worse we coud not see any effect of the LPF2 filter despide ODR and filter frequency settings. So we wunder if we have an error in our configuration or if the LPF2 not works as expected. With the following LSM configuration we expectect that the spectogram of the LG sensosr data would not show any artifacts of frequency above 250Hz.But what we see:- Frequencies below 250Hz apear as expected - Frequencies above 250Hz are folded down into the range 0-250HzWe are using the FIFO buffer to achieve constand sampling while retriving the data from the sensor with the MCU via I2C in a batch abaut 5 times per secound. For the sensor control we use the mems c-driver from gitHub (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/tree/master/lsm6dsv320x_STdC).The current LMS configuration :- High Accuracy Operation Mode- OD

Hi,I would like to confirm if setting LSM6DSO ODR to 6.66KHz and LPF2 to ODR/10 (resulting to 666Hz bandwidth), then setting a FIFO decimation factor of 8 (resulting to 833hz FIFO ODR) will work in preventing aliasing for signals above 417Hz? We have discovered with LSM6DSL that it doesn't work that well, but looking at a previous post where the LSM6DSO is recommended (Solved: LSM6DSL anti-aliasing filters do not appear to be ... - STMicroelectronics Community). So I would like to confirm it before we do a hardware change in production. Thank you.

We are developing an automotive application that displays vehicle acceleration and deceleration through an LED array. We initially only utilized the accelerometer function of the ASM330LHHTR inertia module but were getting inconsistent results on inclines and declines.  We fused the 3D gyro to help compensate for this inconsistent results  but have been unsuccessful.  Is there an FAE we can speak with to help resolve our issues?

I am using NUCLEO-U083RC with X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1. I read the data from LIS2DUXS12 which is on X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1. The accelerometer data is in 8 registers. Hello,We tested two sensors on a vibration shaker: LSM6DSV16X and IIS3DWB.All X, Y, and Z axes were tested on each sensor.The IIS3DWB was tested up to 2 kHz and behaves correctly. The readings are repeatable at approximately 10 m/s².The LSM6DSV16X was tested up to 1 kHz. The X and Y axes also showed approximately 10 m/s².However, the Z axis starts to underestimate the values from 300 Hz upwards, and at 960 Hz it shows only about 4.4 m/s².We tried different filter settings and configurations. We tested several samples of the sensor.Nothing improved the results. The Z axis clearly has reduced bandwidth compared to the X and Y axes.The data is read via the SPI interface.What could be the reason for the reduced amplitude on the Z axis above 300 Hz?

Hi We have a old PCBA design with a TDK IMU sensor. When I look at the footprint and pinout it seems like it actually drop-in-replaceable and we should need no new PCBA design, only change the BOM list and replace the TDK sensor with LSM6DSV320XBut the LSM6DSV320X datasheet says that pin 10 and pin 11:Leave pin electrically unconnected and soldered to PCB.But in our design thay are connected to GND signal ground.What would happen if we replace it, will the LSM6DSV320X not work if the pins 10 and 11 are grounded? krrØystein

Hello,I'm facing some trouble with interfacing these two boards.Right now, I had only configured cube to load the datalogger example.It's running fine without the 6283A1 but when I plug it on the IKS4A1, the code crash.While debugging, I found that when the 6283A1 is not installed, the "configuration" variable is correctly filled with correct function pointer :But when the 6283A1 is inserted, not all the variable is filled and the code is trying to execute a function that's not registered in the variable : MotionFuncDrv[1][1]->GetAxesI think it's a bug in the IKS library, the color sensor may have been interpreted as the LSM6 ?Althought, the I2C bus is working fine. Without the color sensor :Searching for I2C devices on the bus...Device found: 0x32Device found: 0x3CDevice found: 0x70Device found: 0x88Device found: 0xBADevice found: 0xD4Device found: 0xD6Total found devices: 7  With the color sensor :Searching for I2C devices on the bus...Device found: 0x32Device

Hi, I am trying to merge the left and right wrist tilt configuration examples so that I have left wrist tilt on the FSM1 routing to INT1 and right tilt on the FSM2 routing to INT2 on LSM6DSV16X. I am sharing the merged config and the reference configurations being used(link). I have been trying to find an example for multi FSMs in MEMS studio but can't find any. Issue is thig config works fine for right wrist but not for left wrist. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. thanks

Dear Community,I think I have encountered an uncommon problem. The SW_RESET bit in CTRL3 on the lsm6dsv16x does not change to 0 again. In https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/lsm6dsv16x.pdf it states that after the software reset this bit is automatically cleared. Even after disconnecting the power and doing a reboot, also of the chip itself this bit wont change back to 0. I use https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/lsm6dsv16x-pid to communicate with the chip, and other things like reading who_am_i and so on work normally. But otherwise, I only get meaningless readings from the sensor. What can be done about this, especially the reset bit?Thanks and greetings

Hello STMicro Community,I am working with the LIS2DH12 accelerometer, STEVAL-MKI109V3 and MEMS Studio environment. My application is the measurement of vibration on rotating equipment.A vibration signal of 118Hz is being applied to the board and using ODR=400Hz, Scale +/-4g.I am noticing a significant difference in magnitude measurements when switching the filter bit on vs off (FDS). See attached image of the time series data yellow (Z-axis) where:- with FDS=0 I see -500 to -1500 for ~1000mg range- with FDS=1 I see -800 to +800 for ~1600mg rangeI DO expect to see gravity getting removed but NOT an increase in the magnitude. Is there an explanation for this?-Edwin 

Hello,I have a PCB with two microphones (IM66D132HV01) with an STM32U575RGT6 (64pin) micro.Both microphones are connected (L+R) to a single input {PC0, PC2} = {MDF1_SDI4, MDF1_CCK1}Firstly I cannot find any example code that produces output samples in the MDF1_Filter3->DFLTDR,  MDF1_Filter4->DFLTDR data registers -- they are always zero.I can get the MCU to produce a clock signal and I can see a data bit stream coming to the MCU, from the microphones.       As I was a bit stuck, I resorted to using CubeMX to hopefully get some working code --- however -- with CubeMX the common clock was no longer visible.I also notcied that if I set up MDF1_F3, and MDF1_F4, that  I cannot tell CUBEMX that actually I only need the 'MDF1_SDI4' input since the two filters share the same MDF1_SDI4 bus (one outputs on low clock, the other on high).Also,  I'm looking for some sample code that can give me interrupts for each of the left and right samples, as

Hello, I was told by the services to check out the forum for guidance.I am working on a project that requires surface reconstruction using non-optical based solutions. I was thinking of attaching a motion sensor module to track the handheld scanner which will be moving along the surface, and then using the obtained sensor data to plot the point cloud in 3D.Is this a feasible idea using the motion sensors for accurate tracking & reconstruction? If so, what are the recommended products (something like LSM6DSV)? How is the development experience using MEMS-Studio? Thank you!

Hi Guys. I am just trying to receive data from sensors accommodated on STEVAL-BCN002V1B (Blue Tile board) using application  "BLESensorDemoCentral" running on STEVAL-IDB008V2  board.I am able to detect all services that are advertised by Blue Tile board using "BLESensorDemoCentral" application running on STEVAL-IDB008V2 board, which are "ServW2ST", "ConsoleW2ST" and "ConfigW2ST" services.But I am still unable to find characteristics of all the three services described above. Q1 : What changes ( Master context object ?, gatt callbacks ? ) shall be done on side of "BLESensorDemoCentral" application running on STEVAL-IDB008V2  to get all characteristics of all services  that are received from  by Blue Tile board  (STEVAL-BCN002V1B)?Q2. Hello, I have a Sensor Tile Box Pro and I have a question about the accelerometer. Why, if it is still, does it show movement on the axes depending on the position of the Box Pro with an offset of 1000?

SummaryOur eventual product will use the LSM6DSV320X but right now, all we have is an LSM6DSV80X chip on the STEVAL-MK1247A breakout board. The products are close enough that I can test on the 80X. I am currently trying to implement the burst read feature of the chip. I am having two main problems when doing the burst read:1. After some time, I am getting tags in the FIFO for parts of the sensor I have not enabled (e.g. I get a temperature tag despite not having enabled temperature batching)2. Hi, I designed a special board that includes the LSM6DSO32 sensor. I want to get step count data, for testing I am using ESP32-CAM with LSM6DSO32 via I2C. I have followed the basic routine mentioned in application notes. I can get only garbage value. I will attached sample code for reference. Can you check and help me step by step what to do?
