I am trying to design a current limiting circuit at 110vDC.(Range 90-140)Need to limit the current at 2A and provide short protection on the line.Is there any ST mosfets which can help acheive this requirement.Or I am wondering if there is any reference design which can help us to quickly achieve this.

I have attached the schematic actually trying to replace the mcp73831 so mayI program stm32 to connect or disconnect using MOSFET to charge or control my lipo battery if its rating its 0.7C, or you can say approx we need to charge 500mah with or less 500mA charging rate .Btw This lipo battery for emergency/backup battery its not going to use in long it will used once in a month my main doubt is about charging the battery using smt32 control pin will be the voltage analog r battery volt reading pin

I'm currently building a level shifter and I'm planning to use two drivers of type VNQ7140AJ on the output side. However, I still have several questions about these drivers Description of the project:The level shifter will be located in an industrial control cabinet and will convert 3.3V CMOS signals from a RPi to 24V. I'm not 100% sure about the consumers it will need to handle, but It will mostly be mechanical relays, signal lamps and illumination. Usage of PWM signals isn't planned and conversion from 24V to 3.3V isn't supported. Also, I won't use the driver's diagnostic functions.I'm aware that there is an evaluation board for this driver (https://www.st.com/resource/en/data_brief/ev-vnq7140aj.pdf). VN750PSTR-E in this mosfet datasheet, VIH is mentioned as 3.25V in specifications, but in the graph VIH vs Temperature, it is below 3V. Which one is correct?Pls refer the below images.

Hello, I'm part of my universities Formula SAE team at The Milwaukee School of Engineering. We design a prototype single seater formula race car with a parallel hybrid powertrain. I was looking at using the product mentioned for power regulation on one of our embedded projects to go onto the car. As part of my analysis for this project, I was hoping to simulate these products with a SPICE simulation software. When I downloaded this spice file for the A5975D, we were not able to import it because it looks like the .lib file is encrypted. I understand this is probably to keep proprietary information about the device hidden from others. It looked like there was a way to import the file into orCAD, however that is not a software we have the resources to access. Is there a way we can import a SPICE file for this device into LTSPICE or NI Multisim? Thanks for your help.

Hello.To use STEVAL-DPSLLCK1, I am reading user manual(UM2348).Table 1 says that the resonant frequency is 175kHz,but Table 8 says that C39,C110 and C130 are 18nF,and the leakage inductance of T3 (Lr) is 20.32uH.From table 8 values Cr=54nF and Lr=20.32uH,If I calculate, the resonant frequency is 152kHz.Please teach me the reason of the difference of the values,175kHz and 152kHz.

Hi all,Since the TSC1641 is just a monitor (it doesn’t drive any current), I assume the internal temperature sensor is meant to measure the temperature of something nearby.In this application, I was thinking the shunt resistor could be placed on the opposite PCB layer to allow the sensor to "read" the shunt resistor's temperature.Does this assumption make sense? I couldn't find any guidance on this in the datasheet.Regards,AGA

Dear allI would like design a circuit for AC/DC conversion of a 3 phase AC voltage with different frequency and different amplitude. The input power of the circuit can be changed form 4W up to 300W. Actually, circuit input is generated by a output of a 3 phase generator which is linked to a small wind turbine, so its frequency and output voltage varies considerably. Maximum output voltage is about 36v.I appreciate it if you instruct me for using the ST parts (power modules) similar to VIPER31.Best regardsAmin

If we want to develop a PCB with the STWBC86 chip, is it possible to load the initial configuration by connecting the PCB via I2C with a USB converter to the computer? Or is external hardware, such as the STM32 development board, required to load the configuration onto our PCB?Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hello, We are evaluating the STEVAL-STPM801 board, testing the STPM801 as integrated hot swap, soft start and oring protections device. On the EVAL board the TM pins with nrs: 8, 13, 14, 27, 28, 29 are equipped with jumpers to select pull-up or pull-down, while in the datasheet of the STPM801 those pins must be connected to GND.Also in the datasheet there is in chapter 5.1.5 STAND-BY mode enter/exit, in several graphs a pattern given for ENABLE-IN. I can not find the ENABLE pin. However, on the EVAL board the signal connected to pin nr 8 in that figure 1 has the name TM_EN_1/2. The TM lines are also feed to a jumper (e.g. JP17) with signal names like SPI1_*. The difference between the Eval board and the datasheet makes it confusing. Which pin is the Enable pin (mentioned in chapter 5.1.5 of the STPM801 datasheet)? What is the functionality of the other TM pins?Is there a "hidden feature" in the STPM801 available? Hope that anyone can clarify.kind regards

Hello,I am currently developing a device that uses the L7983PU50R as a 5V power source, based on the L7983PU50R - Evaluation board schematic.In the circuit, the 5V output is further used to power an LDO with a 3.3V output and a reference voltage source with 3.3V and 1.65V outputs.The power source for the DCDC L7983PU50R is rectified by a diode bridge and smoothed with capacitors, thus the converter is powered by up to 42VDC.For debugging purposes, the circuit includes a connector that allows for the connection of an external 5V to power the LDO and the reference voltage source.My question is: Is it possible to apply a 5VDC to the output of the DCDC L7983PU50R (LX and VOUT pins) when there is no voltage at the VIN input? This is needed for debugging purposes. If this is not advisable due to potential overvoltage at the LX input, would it be valid to connect a reverse diode with a low voltage drop between VOUT and VIN? We need help with a problem with the L9963T (SPI to isolated SPI transceiver).Please help us find the cause and solution.PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:We are using L9963Ts on each side of a communication link between two boards. Board #1 transmits to board #2 which responds. Board #1 starts to transmit shortly after power up and then continues to transmit.If we power up both boards at the same time, everything works.But when we power up board #2 after board #1, the L9963T on board #2 does not indicate that it is receiving (i.e. BNE is not set), even though we can see that board #1 is transmitting. Since board #2 is not receiving, it will not respond. We suspect that the L9963T on board #2 is somehow thrown off by the switching of signals on the transmission line while its power supply is ramping up, and is therefore not working properly. I am currently working with the STEVAL-VP26K01B evaluation board, which utilizes the VIPER26K IC, as part of an electric car project for Formula Student. During my study of the board's design, I noticed that the feedback is taken from a resistor divider between the output and the source of the power MOSFET.Intuitively, I would have expected the feedback to be referenced to ground, but this is not the case in the design. Could you please provide clarification or insights into the rationale behind this design choice? Understanding this would greatly enhance my comprehension of the system.

Just finished my design for wireless charging board with the STBC15QTR as charging controller. The chip marked as active production but i can't find the chip on estore.st.com, mouser or digikey. Where can i buy it?I could switch my design to STBC15LJTR but it is in another package that will require more expensive PCB service (as it will require additional "vias as pads" process). :(
