STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

We're working a camera based person fall detection device with STM32H747 and B-CAMS-OMV camera module, we want to interface GSM module with it to make alert calls in case of fall being detected but we're facing issues with the same. We're not able to interface the GSM module properly with the board,the GSM module is being powered up and getting connected to cellular network but it's not responding to commands from the board.  We're trying to set up USART communication between the board and the GSM module but the GSM module is not responding to the commands. Kindly help us with the same. 

HiI own a STM32F469-Discovery Board bought in 2021. There seem to be (at least) two revisions of that board, "B" & "C" and maybe "A". Under "CAD Resources" are just schematics for Revision "B" and "C".If I try to run the supplied example for that board, for example "LCD_DSI_VideoMode_SingleBuffer" I have to choose correct Revision in the code.Revision "B" seems to work good, "A" not so perfect (flickering) and "C" totally scrambled display... So I assume that I have Revision "B" board.But if I now look into the schematic of board revision "B" I see there is SDRAM "MICRON MT48LC4M32B2B5-6A" installed. But if I inspect my board there is clearly a "ISSI IS42S32400F" BGA chip installed. In the schematic of revision "C" instead is drawn the same "ISSI IS42S32400F".Now I am confused.Can you please enlighten me?

Hi,When trying to connect the board via ST-link in CubeProgrammer i get the error: "No STM32 target found!..."; can't figure out what problem is preventing ST-link from finding the target.BlackPill is working properly, i can use it via DFU, but I would like to use debug.I tested the ST-link dongle with a NUCLEOF303RET6 and it works fine.Then i tried using the onboard ST-link of the NUCLEO to connect the BlackPill (with the correct configuration) and had the same problem; so i think the problem may be in the BlackPill (could it be an incorrect code in the identification registers?).I also tried different bootloaders, although i don't think they can make a difference in this case.Board: WeAct BlackPill V3.0, MCU: F411CEU6 (original), SWDIO and SWCLK correctly configured on pins PA13 and PA14 (SWD configuration), target voltage 3.28V.ST-link: V2 dongle, MCU: F103C8T6 (original), tried with reset pin connected, tried with various firmware versions (now v2J45S7).CubeProgrammer: no mode

I set my copy of the STM32CubeIDE to generate a hex file whenever I build my project. I want to make a portable file that I can give to other engineers so they can program their STM32F469I-DISCO devo boards for testing without having to install the full STM32CubeIDE toolchain on their PCs (which is quite involved and error-proned because of the various settings and packages required to get it to work on each PC).The problem is, if I start with a new board from the factory, it does not initialize and get past a black screen if I program the board with the STM32CubeProgrammer and generated .hex file. If I use the STM32CubeIDE first, the board fully initializes and I get a good screen.Now, if I program the board first with the STM32CubeIDE, I can program it with the STM32CubeProgrammer after and it works just fine and has all my updates.Can you please tell me what I am missing? Any tips/tricks to figure out what is different in the process of programming it with the STM32CubeIDE

Im using NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q. I used it together with plattformio and arduino framework. In order to get arduino to work im using this setup:   [env:nucleo_h743zi] platform = ststm32 board = nucleo_h743zi framework = arduino monitor_speed = 115200   This works fine using this board but suddenly it stopped working. And getting this upload error   Error: init mode failed (unable to connect to the target)   As well as the board is not connected stm32CubeProgrammer. It is however discovered at port 13 but cannot upload. The COM led is also red indicating there is a problem with the communication with the computer. I got a brand new usb cable and have tried others so it is not the cable. I have two possible scenarios what has happened. 1) since I have soldered the headers I have burned some component on the board. But maybe not so likely since it first worked and then stopped working2) something has happened with the communication after using "wrong" but working bo

Hello ST Community, I am connecting you because I am trying to use a Waveshare LCD/TFT screen (https://www.waveshare.com/2.8inch-tft-touch-shield.htm) which uses the ST7789 (lcd) and XPT2046 (TFT) chips. I can make it work with an Arduino Leonardo board. However, I cannot implement it with the NUCLEO-F401RE board. More precisely, I can implement the backlight (by driving a GPIO), but the SPI communication does not seem to be working. Would you be able to confirm that pins PA5 should be used for SCLK, PA6 for MISO, PA7 for MOSI and PB4 to PB6 for: SD_CS, TP_CS and LCD_CS ?  There are several git repo with different code drivers version, but not sure about SPI1 pinout. Do you have a link to a driver that can be used with the NUCLEO-F401RE board or any advices for debugging ? Thank you very much for any help you can give me. Best regards,

Hi!I'm developing a software on the STM37H753ZIT nucleo board, I place some time critical functions inside the ITCMRAM to improve performance, the code is correctly running and the behaviour meets the expectations execpt for a fact:When I place a breakpoint to stop inside a function located in ITCMRAM, the debugger stops in another place:Here an example is provided, the function placed in ITCMRAM is TIM15_IRQHandler, when I try to stop inside the function the debugger stops in CAN_DeInit, that is a function never called in the code.Note: Rebuilding and relauncing the project, brings the debugger to stop in another place, different from CAN_DeInit, but still stops in unused code piece.  Does anyone knows why this happens?Thanks in advance,Luca 

I'm using a Nucleo-H723VG board and trying to use the PB8 and PB9 pins. I'm able to set PB9 high and see a voltage of 3V but for PB8 it only shows a voltage of 359mv. I have tried enabling the internal pullup and still doesn't go high to 3V.The yellow is PB9, which is going high and blue is PB8, only reads in mv range. 

Good evening all,I am using STM32F446 board. I need to plot variables calculated in my program (in the live expressions window) over a graph in real time but I have no idea how to do it. Hi, I have an issue on STM32H7B3I-DK, I am not able to flash code, I atleast want to perform full erase, but I am getting " Error: Connection to target must be established before performing the erase command." error.Fig: STM32CubeProgrammer.Fig: Trying to erase the board. But still getting the above error.Anything else can I do on this board. 

Im using the stm32f407 discovery to run I2C in fastmode (400kHz), using the equation given in the datasheet, I choose the system clock to be 120Mhz, so I have 30Mhz pclk for I2C. duty cycle T_low/T_high = 2, so CCR is 25d, T_rise is 300ns so that would result in 10d. But the clock doesn't be 400kHz, it keep changing at 333kHz or 500kHz. sorry for my bad english, appreciate for any help.

Hi Team, I am Using NUCLEO-F767ZI board for Ethernet interface. After all Ethernet configuration. The code shows lots of error which is attached below. Hello, I'm new to STM32CubeIDE so I need you not to go too hard with explanations :).  In these weeks I'm working on a project that uses ethernet based on the NUCLEO F767ZI board using the LWIP library.After consulting the PDFs available on the F767ZI board page and following various videos on YouTube, I managed to get the project working.For weeks it worked perfectly, I loaded various HTML / CSS and JS projects and everything worked fine. Last night I tried to use FreeRTOS with my project, since I need to create an AJAX WebServer (I have to create a dashboard that loads data into various fields and tables) and I know that it is recommended to use an RTOS because of the multi-threading features (not only the MCU must run the web server but it must also request information from other devices via LoRa communication, so multi-threading could help a lot). I should point out that before experimenting with RTOS I saved the working project (the one without RTOS) and c

I am using NUCLEO-F756ZG. I intend to use two of the ADCs but in different conditions. ADC1 is configured for DMA and triggered by TIM1 to run at high speed (1 Msps), ADC2 is configured for interrupt mode and triggered by TIM8 to run at low speed (1~20 sps).I have two questions. 1. I want to use different callbacks for the two ADCs. I know about HAL_ADC_RegisterCallback function. Should I be using them right after MX_ADCx_Init call or modify the MX_ADCx_Init to register the callbacks during init? 2. Looking at CubeMX generated IRQHandler, and since ADC interrupt is global for all 3 ADCs, it seems that interrupt will be called after each sampling of ADC1 too. How should I modify it so that ADC1 doesn't call interrupt and only ADC2 does. I only need to process ADC1 data after full DMA transfer completes. I'm using nucleo f446 board for adc sampling the internal adc is unidirectional.  Is there any other development board like nucleo or discovery with internal ADC which can give both positive and negative cycle of adc Please suggest me so that I can avoid external adc.

I am mostly wondering if anyone here has ever had to code to communicate with a SSD1353 via stm32. I have used NHD documentation to connect the board in a 6800 Parallel interface. I know it is wired correctly as I connected it to my Arduino and used the company's example code that is only available for Arduino and it worked. I took that code and rewrote all of it to work on stm32 and it isn't working. Has anyone here ever written a script that I could try and use that successfully work on the SSD1353. 

Hi, Recently, I purchased a X-STM32MP-GNSS2 Evaluation board which came with an antenna. As per the instructions, I could find its compatibility with STM32MP157F-DK2 and Raspberry Pi.  Can anybody help me getting its interface and data logging using STM32 Nucleo-144 board?   

On STM32H747I-DISCO schematic, there are two different grounds. Why is SMPS ground connected to B6, C16 and T12?

I´m using a stm32f4 discovery board, and when i try to connect it to my computer it show "No ST-LINK detected".  I don´t know if there are specials drivers for windows 11.

Good evening everyone,today I generated a sine wave (using array method, 80 samples per time period) and got it on oscilloscope using DAC channel 1. Then I tapped this analog wave into the ADC of the board. Then i again converted the data from ADC channel and got it on oscilloscope via DAC channel 2. I observed that the sine wave of channel 2 is clipped near the peak whereas channel 1 wave is perfectly fine. Then I scaled down the actual sine wave and observed that the two waves are not clipped anymore. Has someone else experienced the same problem and if yes, what is the probable cause to this issue? thanks and regards.  

How can I enable Serial Wire View (SWV) on the STM32U031R8 controller? I am receiving a "tracing is not supported" pop-up window. Additionally, when I try to enable it from the debug configuration, the option appears to be disabled. Could this be because my controller has a Cortex-M0+ processor? Could you please explain the reason for this issue?
