STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hello.Due to reasons, I had to completely reset my laptop, and I am setting up STMCubeIDE and STMCubeMX again. That said, I became used to CubeMX being integrated inside of CubeIDE and I want my project generation to include the .ioc file. Hence, I'm choosing to install STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 (despite the documented issues and reasoning for Version 2, I have yet to encounter a serious problem that would steer me away).  That said, after reinstalling STM32CubeIDE version 1.19.0, the code generation is locked behind an error message:`Go to Help -> STM32Cube updates -> Connection to myST`. When I go to `Help->Check for Updates`, the only update available is to STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. As I've explained above, I've been actively avoiding this version due to the removal of CubeMX integration in CubeIDE.  Seeing as this was the only update, I tried to simply go to`Project -> Generate Code`, but nothing happened.  This leads me to believe that for new install

Previous versions of cube had very nice board seelction tools.At the top of the screen was aa complete board descrription that enabled the easy selection of board features when starting a new project and wanting to see what peripherals were available on the board and chipThe current version 2.0 has very, very sparse information, inadequate to find out which boards havee what preipherals. The facility is easyt to provide since it simply references the sales literature available on the ST site.This information is not even available by double clicking on the products offered in the IDE.Furthermore, the online product selector is almost useless, there are 3 columns with identical headings under ADC converters. I presume these refer to differrent ADC capabilities, but am left in the dark as to their meaning.I understand that this might be a seldom used function, occurring once or twice in a product lifecycle, yet it is an invaluable tool.The filters are also very cumbersome when compared to

The open source code on GitHub hasn't been updated for a long time, and many devices are unsupported. How can I get the latest OpenOCD source code? Should I contact technical support? Is there a contact email?

Hello, I recently switched to a new Macbook os Tahoe. I can't flash MCU. I see some errors pop. CubeMX detects ST link V3 minie, but can't flash it. Same come with the ST link upgrade. The old Mac with the Sequoia can do the job. Any ideas please ?

Hi boys and girls from ST company - capitalistic USA country, I installed your new CubeIDE 1.17 today and I ascertained that:1/ If I open a project everything is closed - no window is visible. If I try to close the project, the project is NOT closed and moreower I can even COMPILE !!! and debug and to programm the closed project :) It is very cute.Whe I was very young we had a car "Škoda MB100" (green color). It was very magic car. If there were lack of water in the main cooler and if the car engine was hot enough e.g. approx. 100°C I could remove the ignition key from ignition box, but the car engine runs gaily without stopping :)   :) :) :) :)  And this situation continued even if I removed the car battery 12V/64Ah :) :) :) :)  YES !!! 2/ I tried to change dark gray text color background in C/C++ editor and ... surprisingly ...  it is NOT possible. Hi thereI'm a little embarrassed to post this, but..  Coming from Microchip world I would just change TRISx, so simple.As I've learned so far the MX are in charge for setting up a port.But in my application I need to set a 8 bit wide port for parallel interface to a device.Also it needs to change output <> input.My first thoughts were not to tell the MX about the device on port PC0 to PC7.Then do the setup "manually" in the code.But then again I think this so common, there must be a MX way of doing this. Thank you.

Hi,If I use STM32CubeIDE 1.19 to start a new project for the STM32H755 Nucleo board, the startup assembly files in both the CM7 and CM4 sub-projects are the same file with the same contents, startup_stm32h755zitx.s.  It looks like this file is the one generated for the M7 core that just gets copied over to the M4 directory, because inside it has: .cpu cortex-m7Now, I know both cores share all the peripherals and interrupts.  But I would assume the ".cpu" definition would need to be cortex-m4 for the M4 core.  So far I haven't seen any issue, but this is probably a hidden bug.Thanks,-m

Hi, I am creating application using LPBAM configuration. The application simply is:Enter stop mode 2- Use ADC4-12bit channel 22 (PC4) to measure voltage using clock HSI or MISK- ADC wdog to generate interupt when the value reach threshold to exit stop mode 2- LPTIM1 will trigger ADC4 500ms cycle using clock LSE- LPDMA1 channel1 to store converted data, and save to array adc4_buffer[1]- LPDMA1 channel 0 ensure queue run LPBAMWhat I have done:ADC4 configuration (ADC4 global interrupt enable in NVIC)LPTIM1 configurationLPDMA configuration (LPDMA channel 0 interrupt enable)Scenario queueThen I generate code and face this warningI already createt project without Trust Zone, also check LPBAM check log but cannot verify it. Hello, recently I was able to flash a programm on the STM32G474CET3 but I am unable to track Live Variables.I wrote a simple program that just increases a cnt variable each second.My .ioc configuration: Every help is appreciated.

This permanent fix applies to all STM32CubeIDE versions. Issue description When creating a new STM32 project in STM32CubeIDE, the “STM32Cube” radio button may have become unresponsive, blocking the “Next” button after the product selection screen. This prevented the project creation from being completed. Permanent fix You can apply this resolution to any STM32CubeIDE version, even if you applied the temporary workaround that we recently shared with you. Open STM32CubeIDE.  It happens to from time to time that I have a flashed project in a hardware, e.g. a bluepill, but I forgot which source project was belonging to it in the STM32CubeIDE's project treeview.Is there a way to write the name of the project by means of some C-macro in text form into the program as kind of a signature or even more safely, compute a checksum of the flash binary and write that checksum into the program (yes I know, this may become tricky since the checksum alters the checksum itself :)Is there a common technique for this?

I am using STM32F103C8T6 MCU and STM32CubeIDE ver 19.0.0. When i enabled PA8- PWM generation Channel 1 i get warning RCC Mode and Configuration Tab: Master Clock Output as a error/warning. I have reset state the PA8 pin again enabled as TIM1_CH1 and Tim1 setting Channel 1 : PWM generation CH1 again same error/warning i have get. when generated code closly monitored i didnot find and MCO related code in main.c. What to do? should i ignore cubeMX warning/error and relay on generated code? 

I'm using STM32CubeIDE Version 2.0.0 and would like to get the size of all the object files in my build. I know I can do this in Project Settings->C/C++ Build->Settings->Build Steps->Post-build steps->commands using arm-non-eabi-size, but what is the variable that expands to the names of the object files, and how do I use it?

Strange things are happening: I'm running STM32CubeIDE under macOS 15.7.2 (I must admit it is OCLP Sequoia). A couple of minutes ago I was able to open .ioc files in my project - not sure whether that was before the upgrade. Nowthe .ioc are upper strip blue, lower half green. What does that mean? When I invoke the .ioc by double click, it switches over to my Windows VM (Parallels) and fires up CubeMX there (a very old version). When the VM is not running, STM32CubeIDE does nothing. The .ioc is not opened like I was used to before. I'm now updating. I'm puzzled.

None of the beginner's tutorials work anymore because of the removal of STM32cubeMX from the IDE. Please send me a link to one that will work. I have seen some work arounds to solve this but for a beginner they are too complicated.

Today I started STM32CubeIDE again, was notified that an update is due, installed the update (2.0.0). Got an error alert "Computing 'size'", and the Info startup said "URL not found". Anyway, ignored this, started to build my project again. I added ADC1 (before I did the update), but didn't compile that with the old version of Cube. I'm using STM32CubeIDE 2.0 and CubeMX 6.16.1. When I create a project in CubeMX, it doesn't create the STM32WBA55CGUX_FLASH.ld file. It creates the makefile when I select it in the Toolchain/IDE section, but then gives an error.

Created an account, activated it, signed in, and I'm stuck in a loop of clicking "Get latest" > Accept the license agreement > "Download latest" > Accept the same license agreement > "Download latest" > Accept the same license agreement > and so on. The download never starts. This happens when trying to download CubeMX as well. CubeIDE for vscode worked fine. This seems to be a reoccurring issue over the years. I'm using up to date chrome and have no extensions installed except workplace mandated Microsoft Purview which I cannot disable or interact with.

After installation of STM32CubeIDE in a new computer,  an error reminds when logging: This login session has expired! Hello,I tested the new STM32CubeIDE 2.0 today and was initially confused that CubeMX opened when I double-clicked on the *.ioc file. However, this is listed as a new feature in the release notes.Unfortunately, this feature completely destroys my projects.When the code is generated, these settings in the CubeIDE project change:- Targeted Language changes from C++ to C- Linked folders are deleted- Configurations: DEBUG, SYSTEM added- Linker file settings from own configurations deletedDid I make a mistake in the settings? Background: I have designed a new PCB, which includes a chip similar to one I've used on other PCBs, but with a different part number. The function names for this chip start with the part number.As mentioned, the new project uses a slightly different chip, with a different part number. To not start from scratch, I copied the chip-related files from a different project in the same workspace, and changed the function names. I used Refactor -> Rename to rename the functions, so it would do the source and header files in one go.But renaming didn't stop with the new project. It renamed identical function names in the older projects as well. All files where these functions were mentioned, were updated and saved. So now I have a file restoring task ahead of me. Thank Goodness for a cloud service with a file version history.Question:How do I avoid this in the future? I would very much like to limit renaming to a single project. But the only setting I have found regarding this is here:This i
