Hello,just a short question: In Sensorless Mode the startup sequence works with "Align Step", where the Rotor starts from a fixed position. There is a define for the Motor Startup Angle (STARTING_ANGLE_DEG)... Is it relevant if there is 90 ° or 0 ° entered? We decide it to have 0 °, because there is a math operation with the rotation direction. (multiply -1 or 1 to the angle) and with 0, we get always the same start condition. Whats the purpose of this Parameter in Sensorless Mode? Could it we do it wrong and have a performance decrease? Best regards Sebastian

I'm also waiting to see a response to this request.  I've been scouring the ST website and have active support requests in to get firmware for the STEVAL-ISA172V2 boards that ST used to offer.  I understand that in the future it looks like they will release the V3 version of that, but by then many of us on the steep part of the learning curve may have wondered off and started using some other manufacturers tool chain just because they provide functioning sample code. Sara, can you point us to a firmware example for a functioning PSFB or explain to your colleages that by not putting up the older V2 code promptly they are sending future customers to your competitors. I'm happy to put the time into exploring other references to PSFB code and literature explaing how to get one of these up and running, but I've been frustrated by how much time it feels like I've squandered just getting past the starting line with ST on this. Hello,i'm using some ips2050h-32 and ips1025h-32 from last year. Checking the datasheets, on the revision history they result been modified on july 2023, on table1, FLTx pins. Compared to the old version, seems that now it's been added the disclaimer of not leave these pins floating, but eventually ground them with a resistor. On our project this it's not been done, so they are floating, because it's based on the old version, how this could affect the proper working of the parts?Thank you and BR

Appreciate pointer to information.  New to these.  To power the STM32WL5EJC, we need to make a custom board incorporating the charging and protection circuit since 30mAh Li ion cell does not have build-in protection board.Appreciate circuit diagram, for or similar to, the popular Li ion cell charging board using TP4056 and protection chip DW01A.  Presumably, circuit need to auto switch cell in and out of circuit so the charger chip will end charging at 10% of current (3mA for 30mAh cell) going into the cell and not counting current feeding the STM32WLE5JC (6mA radio receive, 30mA radio transmit).We plan to use MCP1700, Linear LDO, to take Li ion cell 4.2V to 3.0V for STM32WLE5JC.   Many thanks  

I saw in X-CUBE-DPOWER that it is compatible with STEVAL-ISA172V3 with STM32G474RET6 in LQFP64. 

Hello all, in whole datasheet for VN7050AJ is not mention about default state of pins SEL0 and SEL1, but there is information that those pins can be left unconnected. Is there an internal pull-down resistor which selects current sense for CS output? (BTW, there is no table about configuration of combinations those pins, you can use deduction from tables to guess this combinations.) Thanks for answer.

Hi ST team,I have design the 10V isolated power supply design using viper222LSTR IC having universal input AC supply. Schematic of the circuit is attached here.When i am increasing the input voltage, voltage across the capacitor C7 maintain constant of 10V, while voltage across capacitor C12 is in increases, winding of the transformer, W3= W2= 30 turns, are same and W1= 180 turns. So why?1.  My voltage across the C12 is incases with increasing the input voltage.2. With increasing the dummy load (i.e. R8= 1K) then viper222 get on & off frequently.I have required constant 10V across C12 in isolated manner while increasing the input voltage ( I am extracted from C12 because of need of isolated power supply and and i want to avoid use of optocoupler in the circuit)       How i can fixed it, please help use.Thanks and Regards,Pemendra Pardhi

Hi Looking at the PD55015 it has a declared output power of 15W. The evaluation board STEVAL-TDR016V1 on the other hand is rated at 30W output power? How can the evaluation boar be rated at twice the output power of the device it is demonstrating without running multiple devices in parallel? @Peter BENSCH?   Which is the proper group and label for RF power amplifiers/transistors? I’m trying to find a solution to create a PoE to 12V USB-C power delivery adapter as I can’t find one on the market. There are PoE to 5V USB-C PD ones, and PoE to 12V barrel plug ones, but nothing as far as I can tell that will provide the negotiation to deliver 12V to a computer that only accepts 12V USB-C PD for its power supply. if I wanted to build one from scratch, what would I need? If I were to design something that could take the raw 12V from a barrel connector instead, what options would there be to provide the PD negotiation on the USB-C connector that plugs into the computer so that it will recognize that the proper voltage is being supplied?So far the best I’ve been able to do is to wire a plain barrel connector to the power input of an automotive USB-C charger that supports 12V PD output, which works but I’d like a simpler, more direct, less kludgy solution. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

Hello everyone!I would like to ask you for some advice on how to configure the STEVAL-WLC38RX board in the WPSTUDIO GUI so that it receives 5W power.The STEVAL-WLC38RX board is placed on the STEVAL-WBC86TX at the distance shown in the photo. I would like to obtain 5W power to simulate wireless charging of a smartphone for example.I am supplying the board with 8V (WBC86TX) and I have connected a 5 ohm resistor between VOUT and GND of WLC38RX. In addition, I wanted to know if it is possible to display the power received by STEVAL-WLC38RX via the CHARTS of WPSTUDIO, as on the receive side there is nothing unlike on the transmit side.Via the GUI I can only graph the trends of RX PWR and TX PWR on the transmission side. Is this normal? Thanks for your help

Hello,Is there already a solution available to use the STWLC98 or the STWLC38 in TX mode? Is there any application note or some other more detailed description for the TX mode? My problem is the following:I want to transmit 15W, but the STWBC86 can only transmit 5W. So I have to deal with the STWBC2-HP, but this one is too big for my application and has too much functionality I do not need. Furthermore it would be nice if I can use the same IC on RX and TX side. Thank youSimon 

Hi,I have a array of 2x5 STWBC86 on a aluminium plate to make a charging station for multiple devices. They are all connected to a common 5V source and decoupled by a small filter of Ferrite bead and MLCC.After testing them for a while i let them rest over the weekend with no devices sitting on the chargers.After that only a few of the STWBC86 work correctly, the rest doesn't respond to devices. I connected WPStudio and found no errors to be shown but what i found is that the device has its power stage active all the time at its ping frequency.Best regardsStefan 

Hi, I am a bit confused about PWM motor driving. Is Vref the same value as Vavg of PWM? I tried to calculate the value of PWM current control but there have the result is not the same current value as I measured from a test, here are the parameters;Rsns = 5 ohms, Vref_max = 3.3 V, PWM duty cycle = 0.2133I calculate to find Iref = (3.3*0.2133)/5 = 0.1408A.  but from the test I did, I measured Icoil which is 0.08192A, it's supposed to equal Iref (at the maximum time)?or did I misunderstand something, please correct me.Thank you

Hi  I have been using the  NUCLEO-LPM01A board to measure current on my product, but I require to read up to 180ma . I have had a look at the STLINK-V3PWR unit, and can someone please let me know if I can simply use this wil the cube monitor power program to do the same as the NUCLEO-LPM01A , but up to 500ma?I also see it says its a debugger and programmer, is this as well as a power management ? I would like to use it with the end product, and not so much as debugging as I have st-link modules for debugging and programming.Many thanksScott

We require a TVS or zener diode for a clamping application with high average power dissipation. LDP01-56AY does suit our needs, but the maximum average power rating is not described in the datasheet. Our application has an ambient of around 60 degrees Celsius under the worst conditions. What is the maximum average power rating of the aforementioned diode?

Hello, I'm trying to use the SPV1040T MPPT IC to boost up the 1.5V I'm getting from the Solar Panel to 3.8V. When I Power ON the MPPT IC its output just follows the Input and i don't see any chances of voltage getting boosted up. Is there anything wrong in the design attached? Please advise. For now, I'm using the Lab power supply to power the MPPT IC, the O/P voltage is set to 1.5V, Current limit is set to 100mA. RegardsStalin

Hi,Now I work with the STEVAL-L99615C board and have some problem with it. I don't have an 5-cell board, so I connect charger and all needed saignals directly to the board. The board is configured to work in HS. GUI demo version 2.0.0.  Emb. version - 05-11-21-01When I set the "Charge ON" in GUI - the charging is starting, all works good. But if I want to start discharging it doesn't work. Before turning on the discharge, I turn off the charger. The output voltage on the CH- and CH+ - is battery voltage, but if the load will connected to the output pins then output voltage dropped down to 1.6V. Also, I tried to run STSW-L9961BMS Demo4 1.3.0. The datasheet says that you also need to use a board, but I don't have one. The program correctly shows all voltages on the cells, but when I connect the load, the program starts to incorrectly show the voltage of the last cell and the corresponding errorThanks

hi, I'm developing 48v 1kw.Is it possible to set the rising time within 50 ms using l6599ad?The datasheet uses Rss and RFmin to control the initial soft start, but it does not decrease to 400 to 500 ms at all. If you need a circuit diagram, I'll send you a mail.Thank you.​
