Schematic diagram of STEVAL-IHM023V3 evaluation board is given in UM1823.Although “voltage off” signal is given in Figure 1 twice (circuit schematic, page 1 of 6), there is no further information/explanation for this signal. Does "voltage off" signal come from any connector/pin or test point of STEVAL-IHM023V3 evaluation board? If yes, which one? Could you please give some information about "voltage off" signal?

Hi,We are using the ST3115 on our product and we are facing sometimes some strange behaviors on gauge reported SOC vs OCV values according to the current flowing in/out the battery. Until now we are using the ST3115 always in mixed mode.It's told in the datasheet that the ST3115 gauge mixed mode handles both OCV and coulomb counter measures but it's told also that there can be some smart switch inside the gauge according to the current consumption.How the switch occurs and using which threshold ? is it a configurable threshold ?Is it using the relaxation counter ? This relaxation is not well documented, can you please detail about it ?Thanks in advance

Hello, I am on the RX FOD Tunning (BPP) phase, and I have a question.   In the document, it is written - Reading Ptx and Prx is done automatically when using STEVAL- WBC86TX . But I am using just custom board, so I recorded the power from the  "Charts" Tab and save it to .csv file. While looking .csv file, there's TX TX PWR(mW), TX RX PWR(mW)  at the very right side. Do they mean TX or RX power seen from TX's side? And sometimes the RX power is slightly bigger than TX power. Could you tell me why is that ? And can I replace it with the .csv file data instead of automatically recorded value? Thank You. -Jake-

HiI am looking some guidance how to use the PG pin to indicate the power good mode with fixed versions of LD39100. (3.3 and 1.8V versions.) I plan to use the 3.3V output as an input for the fixed 1v8 ldo version, so ideally all I need to monitor to verify the functionality is the PG pin from 1.8V version of LDO.PG pins I plan to pull-up high to Vin and datasheet suggest using a resistor between 100kOhm and 1Mohm. I assume that with the fixed 3.3V version of LD39100, the voltage should be high enough to power up the LED directly but with the 1.8V ldo case, I should use it more like an IO pin and then supply the LED voltage from LDO 3.3V?

Hello ST Team, We are using L5965 power management IC in one our projects. Currently we are in design phase and like to address one concern we are facing right now. So, if anyone could clarify, then it will be boon to us.Coming to the matter.In the block diagram I can see a resistor is loaded with decoupling capacitors for the precision voltage reference output and LDO output in the IC. Could you please support saying the need for those resistors? and how its value is designed? What happen if we are not implementing a resistor over there?  Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi ST Community / @Peter BENSCH I use my solar panel connected to the STEVAL-ISV020V1 to charge my LiPo battery. Everything works fine and it charges the battery. However since I am trying to charge it indoors, during night-time, my solar panel doesn't reach the min required voltage of 2.6 to operate the STEVAL-ISV020V1. Now I am wondering if the STEVAL-ISV020V1 becomes a load instead of being a charge controller when this happens because it drains the battery with a very low voltage at a certain time. 

Hello friends, i design  ac/dc converter circuit using VIPER-319HD with eDesignSuite. One point makes me confused. In attached document, i am not sure these points are GND or not. When i look the datasheet, it seems that these points are related with GND but i am not sure about that. Can you clarify my doubts? Thanks all for your efforts.

Good morning,I'm using STM32F405 for my embedded project and this PCB version showed itself a real MCU killer... So far, it has already burned 4 MCU. Here's my situation. It's not my first time designing using an STM32 (I've already used STM32F103), but it was my first time using a PCB with this particular MCU, so it was my first time dealing with VCap pin. During project phase, I misread the datasheet and connected the VCap to the VDD 3.3V source power, so whenever the MCU was soldered to the PCB, I had 3.3V and GND short-circuit. To get around this situation, I bent up both VCap pins so they didn't touch the pad, leaving them floating. It worked, the MCU turned on, sink recognized it and it was working as expected.But something weird started to happen. My PCB acts like a central communication board that interconnects other PCB peripherals (via UART) with the computer via USB. Two PCB peripherals controls motors, so I have to power then with 24V and 5V, besides the communica

We have based this board off of  EVAL-L99H02QF.We are having a difference in current reading on CSI2. We have 2 shunts, and the one that goes to GND R38 in my picture has a different reading whether motor is going one direction or the other. We cannot seem to understand why and are hoping someone has a good reason for this that we are missing. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks,Josh

I have a motor that is capable of of an acceleration of more than 1'000'000 steps/sec^2. However, I cannot this high acceleration because the max. acceleration the internal motion engine of the PowerStep01 allows is 59590 steps/sec^2 (ACC Register, Section 11.1.5 in datasheet).  Could I use the Step Clock mode and provide an external signal to accelerate the motor with more then the 59590 steps/sec^2 or is the motion engine in the step mode also active and caps any frequency change on the STCK input pin to given max acceleration?Thanks for any explanation.

I am lost and confused between the wireless charging topic when it comes to development boards. Which ones should we order in order to test the working principle of the wireless up to 1W charging?Is ST25R3911B-DISCO the one to use as the WLC-Poller? Or is there something better?As for WLC-Listener development boards, we are unable to find any suitable options, all of them only mention energy harvesting, not charging. At the same time, do you have app notes on both poller and listener blocks? We would be interested in building our own system as soon as possible.

Hi I'm looking for some help in estimating the lifetime of a triac for a customer.I have thermal models and have performed lab tests to estimate junction temperatures and case temperatures. I expect the Junction to reach 115C peak.  The Case to be 100C during peak loads. Ambient temperature is 65C.  So I expect thermal cycle deltas of 50C for every load case.  The loads last 2 minutes and I want to be able to estimate for the customer how many loads they can expect to achieve over the life of the product.  The triac is:  T1620T-8IThe only analysis I have seen is the following:(PDF) A Coffin-Manson model to predict the TRIAC solder joints fatigue during power cycling (researchgate.net) Can anyone at ST help me out?

Hi, I am using the L99LDLH32 driver in an application in which some of the output pins of the driver are in open load, the problem is that in this way an open load fault is generated by the driver, deactivating all the output channels. Is it possible to disable open load detection for the L99LDLH32 driver?   Thank you.

Hi Team.I'm trying to connect STEVAL-GMBL02V1 board with STSW-GMBL02V1 control application.The cursor icon becomes a standby animation, but I cannot connect.I connected using the following steps:supply 8V of power to the STEVAL-GMBL02V1 board.connect the USB.start up the STSW-GMBL02V1 application.Condition:Motor is not connected yet.The thing to be concerned about is that when you connect USB, the current value decreases.I am using a power supply that can only display up to two decimal places, but 40mA is displayed as 0A. I would like to know if the board is defective or if there is a problem with the procedure.Has anyone experienced a similar problem?  

For the SPV1050, what is the charge current to the battery? Can I set the current?Also, I would like to verify that when there is no voltage input to the SPV1050 that the two LDOs are off or not operating.
