STM32 MCUs Software development tools

I'm using JetBrains CLion to debug my STM32 project, and it runs `ST-LINK_gdbserver` when debugging, and passes the "--shared" flag for other STM apps to connect into. It starts up okay, and shows "Info : default port : 7184".I've changed my "settings.js" file in "~/.STMicroelectronics/stm32cubemonitor/" folder so that "connectionType" is "tcp" and not "p2p".I run stm32cubemonitor, and then node-red is showing up an error of: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'isTcpAvailable') (line:59)I think this code underneath is all bundled into the distributable, so I can't debug what's actually going wrong.The versions I have installed currently are:ii st-stm32cubeide-2.0.0 2.0.0-26820-20251114-1348-1 amd64 IDE for STM32 ii stm32cubemonitor 1.12.0 amd64 STM32CubeMonitor helps debug a... ii st-stlink-server 2.1.1-1 amd64 stlink tcp server to permit sev...I'm using an ST-Link/V2 ISOLRunning on Ubuntu 25.10.   Any ideas how to fix this, or where the source code is for

Hello! I have STM32N6570-DK and i would like to disable or make Trust Zone transparent to me and develop the project without safety like your products with cortex M3,M4 and M7 cores with all resources available. I can find some video content on disabling Trust Zone on STM32L5 and STM32U5 but not for STM32N6. STM32CubeIDE offers me a Secure or Secure-Non Secure project generation. Any tips ? Thank you 

In an effort to track down an unrelated problem, I switched back to using my H7 DISCO board and the HSEM_CoreSync sample application. If I debug only the CM7 code, or only the CM4 code, I can step through any/all lines. However, if I try to multi-core debug, single stepping on the CM7 says it is performing a step:(before hitting F5)(after hitting F5)but it really doesn't. As you can see by the left red circle, it claims it is performing a step. In reality it did not step into MPU_Config, it actually performed a continue and is in the Error_Handler call shown in the right hand red circle.Even if I set breakpoints in MPU_Config, hitting any step/continue button will cause it to skip the breakpoint(s) and end up in the Error_Handler. Pausing the CM7 shows the stack as calling that instance of the Error_Handler, and the Fault Analyzer always shows no faults.The compiler options are all set to maximum (-g3), so this shouldn't be a problem of trying to debug optimized code.Does anyone have a

I get this type of error when I'm trying to setup a project with Nucleo-H563ZI and GCC here:I also get information that gdb is not running, while I've installed everything in the same way as I did on my previos laptop im my work. I've even changed system env for not checking tls or sha256 in stm but it still ain't working. Don't know what can I do.

I am building an STM32H7 project (STM32H753) using CMake + STM32CubeMX and GCC.The firmware builds and runs correctly, but STMStudio fails to load debug symbols with the following error:DWARF error. Wrong version in compilation unit header (is 5, should be 2,3 or 4) Even when -g is used, the error persists. I set the following flags on CMakeLists:set(CMAKE_C_FLAGS "${CMAKE_C_FLAGS} -gdwarf-4") set(CMAKE_ASM_FLAGS "${CMAKE_ASM_FLAGS} -gdwarf-4") set(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS "${CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS} -gdwarf-4")  So, I appreciate any advice.

I am using stm32cubeprg-win64-v2-21, and I am experiencing an error.After launching the program and clicking Open File, the Open File window appears briefly, and then the program closes unexpectedly.I uninstalled it and tried using a previous version of STM32CubeProgrammer, but the same issue occurs. Rebooting the laptop does not resolve the problem either.  I have captured a video of the issue and attached it.

Hey there community,As you can see I am trying to move the free Rtos and x-cube-st67w611 middle ware from the application context to the FSBL context, I am using the stm32n6 mcu series and MX 6.16.0 version.I failed to see the full message suggested by the MX tool, as to why this is, I also noticed that in the example projects the context is fixed to FSBL, hence doable. my intention is to develop in the FSBL content and latter migrate to the application content.Does any one have a idea of what I can do to?

Whenever I try to use the SFR view window, it consistently crashes the IDE. Completely hangs up, not responding to anything (e.g. resizing the window) anymore.. left it sit for 15min (way too long) no responsiveness.I can easily reproduce this by launching a debug session, and then e.g. trying to unfold "NVIC" item in the SFR listings. => IDE hangsAlso starting to type so I can narrow down the amount of entries in the panel => IDE hangsTyping "NVIC" somewhere else first, then copy-pasting it into the field (so it doesn't first go searching for everything with "N" in the name, and then having to read a few hundred registers) => IDE hangsI'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.13.0, installed last week. The target is a STM32U575 on a nucleo. None of my user code is running yet, because its still halted at the entry of main. I've not touched any of the debugger settings w.r.t. to the onboard STLink.OS is Manjaro Linux with all up to date packages.Please advice, as this makes developing for this

Inside Cube config, i do not get the other internal connected pins on pin 14, only PA8... in older versions it was available. The chip is STM32U031F8... What do i do wrong.. i need to use the uart_tx function on pin 14... Thank you  Old version from Cubeide... New version from Inet : 6.16.1

Hello, I'm starting a new project with the N657 device.  I can't get the debug SWO port to work. 1- I'm redirecting the putchar to the SWO port: int __io_putchar(int c) { ITM_SendChar(c); // HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1, 0xFFFF); return (c); } 2- The trace and debug clock is set to 8mhz 3- In the debugger setup, i enabled the port and set it to 8mhz 4- in the debugger, I enable trace 0, and enabled it.   Nothing ever seems to get sent to this window.  Note: I know the cable/usb dongle is good since it works with the h743.   Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks Matthew    

I have been trying for hours to upload code to the STM32-N6 and I am simply out of ideas. I only managed to upload debug code to RAM once, then I tried erasing the flash on the PCB using STM32CubeProgrammer (which worked, the standard code is not on there anymore) but now I cannot even use the debug option. I am having to program a unit via UART, and every time I open the STM32CubeProgrmmer GUI the interface selector shows J-Link/Flasher.It remembers if I choose ST-Link.If I manually edit the "interface=" entry in config.properties to 2, STM32CubeProgrmmer opens with UART selected.On exit, the "interface=" entry is rewritten to 1.If I select USB as the interface, the "interface=" entry is rewritten to 2, which opens as UART the next time, and then the "interface=" entry is rewritten to 1 on the next exit.

Hello, I created a complex project for a STM32H573 based custom board. That project is ThreadX based and it shall use the USPBD package. I generated to project with STM32CubeMX version 6.16.1 using STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H5 Series 1.5.1 (see attached IOC file for reference) I create the code for the latest STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. Hi everyone,I'm relatively new to STM32 and I'm running into a confusing issue with the debugger in STM32CubeIDE.I have a simple while loop where I read an ADC value (potentiometer) and use that value as the delay time for a blinking LED.The code is definitely working physically. When I turn the potentiometer, the LED blinks faster or slower accordingly. This confirms `HAL_ADC_GetValue` is returning a changing value.When I run the code in Debug mode and look at my variable (adcDeger) in the live expressions tab, it is stuck at 0. I've reported a STM32CubeMX bug, but I am afraid that there is no one to look at it. Is there any better place to report bugs/issues? Things I've reported are quite a blocker for me and I really need to know if there is anyone working on it, or I'll have to find a workaround.Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to transition from cubeIDE to the VSCode workflow, and am having trouble getting intellisense working. I'm relatively inexperienced with this (I appreciate that cubeIDE 'just worked' in this regard, and I never had to deal with figuring out how to configure this). I've tried starting from a relatively vanilla state - I only install the STM32CubeIDE VSCode extension pack. I *think* I need to also install the C/C++ extension from MS in order to get/enable intellisense for developing stm32 projects (?)Within my project, some things seem to work - I can right-click on some functions and see/jump to definitions. In other cases, I see errors about undeclared variables/defines/macros or other miscellaneous "problems", none of which the compiler actually complains about. I'm confused why this seems spotty within the project. Then, I have an out-of-project shared code area. I've set this up relatively simply (there are no "library" CMakeLists.txt files in this area, ju

1. Run StmCubeMX and then chose upgrade in Ubuntu2. After download it error with something alike it cannot unzip the file.  Reason:1. it seems CubeMx uses the .installationinformation hidden file in its folder to find the installation folder.INSTALL_PATHt\00$.....<your patch>/STM32CubeMXt\These are settings  in a binary format, so there are some weird character. Anyhow it cannot be changed by user.Solutions:1. Move CubeMX back to where is was installed (not desired) after upgrade, move it back where  it is desired.2. Remove and Reinstall CubeMX Suggested fix:1. Make CubeMx upgrade process install folder agnostic.
