STM32 MCUs TouchGFX and GUI

Hi,I have some flexbuttons in a container.I'd like to change let's say the border size of all flexbuttons inside that container when one flexbutton is pressed.Is there a way to do it with some kind of foreach loop ? like: for each item in the container, if the item is a flexbutton, item.changeBorderSize(10);thanks!

Hello, everyone, I am following the following youtube video posted by ST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE_nL1GObmA. My intention is to use an SD card to go and insert images due to a lack of space in flash or external ram. I followed the video, creating a bitmap cache in a portion of external RAM away from frame buffers and other important resources. In the LD file, I then added a virtual section called SDCARD into which I went to place all the contents of the ExtFlashSection. Then following the video I am right at the point where from the .elf file I should have created the .bin file through the command arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe --dump-section ExtFlashSection=images.bin STM32H7S78-DK_24bpp_Appli.elf. Hi there,In my touchGFX project, I import an SVG file.I can compile and simulate the UI page using TouchGFX Designer, which works as expected.However, after I finished the design in TouchGFX Designer and tried to compiler the project by MDK-ARM, the following error was present:(When I delete the SVG object in TouchGFX Designer, everything works well again.)I don't know what this means, how do I resolve it?Thanks for your help!  

Hi, I was wondering the safety regarding using a presenter within a container? I need the container, on click, to send information to the model. I cannot do this from the view, because this is a onclick function. Is it safe for me to define/set the presenter of the screen in the container then use it in the container?

Hi there TouchGFX team.  I need to print a percentage value on a text widget. The progress bar doesn't fit me, I just need the value to be displayed. This is done in the widget configuration or is done in code by the dev concatenating the "value" + "%" ?Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there, I was trying to use the TouchGFX Designer Template for the H563ZI dev board with the RVA35HI display. However I noticed that I have REV1.0 of the display whereas the template that is generated is for REV1.1.I tried configuring the pin connections through the .ioc files by referring to respective version datasheet but so far no luck. It would of great help if there was any way in which I can be given the template for the display version that I've got.Any help would be really appreciated.Cheers

I have a small application, but I have over a 100 texts. Quite a few are duplicates. But even without duplicates it's a lot of scrollingIf I want to change the translation of a word I would need to scroll through the list manually. It's easier if I could sort or even search a column for a text if I wanted to change the translation of a text. Or if I could import/export the table in CSV format. Also I cannot see the screen or widget the text is used in in this table. It would be nice to see the location of the text (I know I can manually move them to groups, but that is a hassle).So my question is: can you make the columns sortable?Another question I have is:  is it possible to have multiple occurrences of the same text without duplicates in Texts table? Can I just give two text fields the same ID? This is not to save FLASH, but to make managing the translations easier.And finally an undo feature might be useful. Hi all.   I seem to be missing something fundamental here and I'm clearly looking in any direction but the right one for the appropriate information.  I want to be able to reference on screen values and use them for calculations in my code.  For example, I have 4 TextAreas on my GUI screen.  Each TextArea has 2 associated buttons (from which I can increment/decrement the values that are currently being displayed).  I need a pointer/reference to each of these values as arguments/parameters in my user functions. How do I do this?  I have been looking at the getWildcard() documentation but I can't seem to find an example of how it is used.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  Thanks.

Hi,I'm struggling to do something that should apparently be relatively simple. I want to import a different touchgfx.props file to the .vcxproject depending on a variable. Now, you might wonder why I want to do that, so let me explain quickly the reason before jumping to my problem. I want my touchgfx project to support two different screen resolutions, which touchgfx designer doesn't allow by default. My idea is therefore to have two different touchgfx designer projects configured each with a different resolution and with different 'asset folders' that compile to the same VS project.So far so good, I've managed to do that and everything works fine. Now, I'd like to add a precompiler definition to the project based on which resolution I use cuz I might need to do some specific things on the child views based on the resolutions.I figured some 'precompiler definitions' are imported from a file called touchgfx-sdl2.props located in the /generated/simulator/msvs file, and that the .vcxproj

Hi, I tried to set up a simple example GUI with a Riverdi RVT50. I can generate the code in TouchGFXDesigner and open it with CubeIDE. When i try to build the code i get some undefined reference errors. undefined reference to `vtable for touchgfx::CortexMMCUInstrumentation'and undefined reference to `touchgfx::CortexMMCUInstrumentation::init()CubeIDE,CubeMX and TouchGFXDesigner are all up to date.

I have a STM32U5G9J-DK2 where I'm trying to write a simple test application that commands the display to be red, then blue, then green.  Using the CubeIDE, I generated a project for the DK2 and enabled the DMA2D, LTDC, and GPU2D.  I then had it generate the drivers and the main.  I looked at the example code and as a result I have the BSP and Utilities for Font and LCD as well in my code.In main.cc, I initialize the LCD with following calls:  BSP_LCD_Init(0, LCD_ORIENTATION_LANDSCAPE);  UTIL_LCD_SetFuncDriver(&LCD_Driver);Then after all the MX_XXX_Init() calls, I try write to the DMA2d with UTIL_LCD_Clear(UTIL_LCD_COLOR_RED);When I run, the UTIL_LCD_CLEAR() eventually calls HAL_DMA2D_Start() and it gets to the line __HAL_DMA2D_ENABLE(hdma2d);  However, once this is executed (Which is enabling the dma 2d), the hdma2d ptr is no longer valid.  Then shortly after due to the pointer no longer be valid, an exception is generated.  I've read th

Hi I am having some trouble regarding using actions and triggers. I've been following the Tutorial 5 from the support website to use them, but I could use some suggestions regarding my situation.I have a container which is a button which appears 4 times on 1 screen.I want the container, when clicked to emit a value to the screen. When I try to emit a value of my choosing . What are my options as to what I can emit? I don't mean data types, but I mean data. Earlier when I tried to emit a variable from the model.cpp, it said it cannot emit that because the variable is not apart of the containers generated base code. Is this true, that only data found in the base file of the container can be emitted?

Hi all,I used touchGFX before with a STM32F746-DISCO board and that worked fine to get started but now I'm looking to make a custom board with an STM32H7A3 MCU and I see nothing in the touchGFX designer for this MCU. There is an STM32H7B3 DISCO board but that MCU has crypto stuff. I don't care for that.  It's been about 2 years since I played with the STM32F746-DISCO board and toughGFX. I didn't see an easy way (like a wizard) to use a custom board back then. I still don't see it now. So ... what to do to use a custom board with a STM32H7A3 MCU? or even a NUCLEO-H7A3...don't see that board in the list of examples either.thanks

Hello everyone, I present my problem.I am doing a simple project with Touch GFX on my Discovery STM32H7S78-DK. My main goal is to display images (the ones provided by touchGFX) in RGB888.I created the project and moved to CubeMX to view the .ioc file and change the various fields the RGB format from 565 to 888. Hi,I´ve to start a project (with FreeRTOS) where several code has to be implemented which is not directly related to the GUI (some state machines, control algorithms, ...).I´m not sure, if I should implement this code parts as usual in my FreeRTOS and exchange only GUI data with the model, or if I should implement also my non GUI related code in the model? Best regards,Achim

Hi,For a project I am currently working on, we have a unique custom board model on which we can flash different targets of a a same program.Depending on the target, we can work with one of two different displays, a 240x320 and a 160x80.For now, we two project TouchGFX, one for each display.I understood that it not possible for TouchGFX Designer to handle several physical displays. Is it still the case ?If so, is there a way to get around it ?S. Marie
